A former Criminalist, who now works for the British MI5. She has been sent to America as a liaison officer between British Intelligence and the FBI
Morgan stands at about 5''9 in height, and is of a slender, graceful build with long and elegant limbs. Despite living in California for a lot of her childhood, her skin has never tanned much. In fact, Morgan is extremely prone to sunburn, and always carries sunscreen and moisturizer, just in case. Her hair is a soft brown in color, and when loose, curls just past her shoulders. Morgan usually wears her hair in a ponytail, a force of habit from her days as a Criminalist. Her eyes are hazel in color, the sole trait she seems to share with her sister and deceased mother.
Morgan keeps her style somewhat casual, just formal enough so she doesn't get in trouble with her superiors at work.

Morgan Halloran's life was complicated before she was even born. Her mother was an American ex-Policewoman, and her businessman father was born in Britain, and raised in Ireland. She was born in Northampton, England, 1979. Her parents moved back to her mothers native California after she was born. Morgan was a target for bullying early in her school life, and she became somewhat withdrawn, especially as her elder sister, Amy, flourished socially. She found her escape through books and studying. She excelled in her studies, finding learning a somewhat enjoyable experience.
One night, Morgan had an argument with her parents. She stormed out, and stayed the night and following morning in her friends house. Feeling guilty, she intended to apologize the following morning. Morgan never got the chance. She returned home to find her house cordoned off, and to find her parents had been murdered after a break-in went badly. It was purely by chance that Amy had been at a party, and Morgan has stayed at a friends. If they had stayed, the odds were they would be dead too.
Plans were made for the two girls to be sent to Ireland, to be brought up by her aunt and uncle. Morgan was deeply affected by her parents death, and cut herself off from the outside world, bunking off school and occasionally drinking. Her uncle refused to stand for it, and after many groundings, arguments and punishments, he helped bring Morgan back to books, studying, and also to things like swimming and martial arts.
Morgan became interested in the science behind catching the criminals, and attended university in Scotland, and gained a BSc in Forensic Sciences. She returned to Ireland to work as a Scene of Crime Officer in Dublin, but resigned shortly after she was accused of physical assault and sexual harassment from a co-worker, a case which was thrown out at court, but left a dent in Morgan's reputation. She quickly found work in an under-staffed LA Crime Lab, where she loved working.
Morgan's sister was badly injured in the London 7/7 bombings. With nobody else capable of looking after her, Morgan moved from the bright lights of LA to the not-so bright ones of London. She took up a job with the Metropolitan Police to support them both, and after working on numerous cases involving the PIRA and several Islamic terrorist groups she was hired by MI5.
Morgan developed an interest in the Tahira Ali case, and when British Intelligence received news that the Americans had captured Ali, Morgan was sent to be a liaison officer between the FBI and MI5.
Morgan is fluent in English, French and Gaelic (Irish), and is able to speak Spanish and some Japanese to a certain extent.
