Description

Zack is a strong willed patriot who has been in the CIA for eight years now. He is of average height and weight, if not being a little on the skinny side, and is of average fitness. He has been stationed in Egypt following a lead on the Hataf for almost seven months now, and his original complexion is long gone. He has tanned skin, which is rugged from the constantly sandy winds that roll across his part of Egypt. His hair is often wind-blown, if not completely covered by a bandanna, and is dark brown, with a little bit of gray beginning to sprout up around the temple area, but he usually keeps his hair dyed. He has the beginnings of a beard; rugged whiskers from his nights out on the sand. His passport, which is in storage in a safe place at the American embassy in Cairo, has a picture from almost a year ago, and shows a very different man. He has a wife (Katherine) and two kids, a daughter (Julia) who just turned eight and a son(Tanner) who just turned six. He has not been in contact with them in the entire span of the operation. He also has a younger brother, James, who he was very close to when they younger, but the two have been less social in the months leading up to Zack’s departure. He has also not had contact with his brother since his plane left the United States.

Personality

Zack is almost always serious, focusing on the job at hand and getting home to his family. He can often be perceived as hostile, but people who know him well enough can see through these hostilities to the man behind the CIA badge. He is respectful to his superiors and his subordinates alike, following the golden rule to the letter. However, this has a counter side to is as well. He can also hold grudges for quite a time. While slow to anger, when he does get irritated, he will often try to get away from the situation, either physically by walking away, or mentally, by listening to his Ipod.

Equipment

Since he has been in Egypt, Zack has bought very little, only what he needs to survive. However, things to note and are usually on his person are:

-A picture of his wife and kids from Christmas last year with, "Come home soon, Dad." scrawled in blue letters across the back.
-His standard issue side-arm.
-A pocket knife.
-His badge.
-A flashlight.
-A cell phone with video capability.
-A thin camcorder.
-An audio recorder.
-A laptop.

History

Zack was born in Jonesport, Maine on September eighteenth, nineteen , and grew up with his parents and his younger brother. His mother taught at a middle school and his father worked for the bank. He passed uneventfully through elementary school, ending up in the middle school his mother taught. In middle school, he took up ROTC and was especially fond of shooting. He was an excellent marksman and was eventually recommended for the Army Rangers after getting his Bachelors degree. He joined the Army when he was twenty, and fought in Iraq for two tours of duty, earning a purple heart for a wound to his left arm, which left a deep scar. He returned to America when he was twenty three.

After his return from Iraq, he went straight home to Jonesport. Things were basically the same and Zack enjoyed the mixed adoration of his friends and family. His college sweetheart, Kathrine Delgado, and he were married a year later. A few weeks later, he was asked to join the CIA. After a long discussion with Kathrine, he accepted, joining the CIA at the age of twenty four. While he was the low man on the totem pole for three years, he assisted on a case when he was twenty eight, gaining the eye of some of the higher up officers. He has been in and out of terrorist cases since, and has been working on the Hataf case for two years, volunteering to go to Egypt to follow up on a lead, and has been there since.
