Introduction
one of the oldest packs living on the Frontier. Once this pack was feared by all others becuase of it's strength and numbers; not to mention it's legendary leader, Wahya. Wahya the black wolf led the Nvda faithfully, and it was expected that his sons would be great.
Wahya had fought the Great Bear, had raced the Swift Eagle, and rumor has it he was even feared by the Two-Leggeds.
Yes, while Wahya was leader the pack prospered. It seemed as if the pack would stay that way forever, but one night the Nvda Pack vanished.
There was nothing to predict the vanishing of the pack. Everything was going well. Wahya's first pups had just been born some days ago, and they would soon open their eyes, there were four of them; though one of them, a white female, was not expected to last long.
The last litter that had been born before them were almost a year old and getting used to hunting with the pack. Wahya watched over them that night as the moon glistened on the lake near them. A strange call was heard from across the lake, and by morning the Nvda pack was gone.
Present Day:
Although the Nvda pack has vanished there are rumours that there were survivors of that night, perhaps the fledgling hunters had broken away and joined other packs, perhaps the newborns had somehow survived whatever took their familiy and were rescued by charitable clans; all anyone really knows is that the great pack is still outmatched, and if there were survivors they either can't remember the events of that night or it's just too horrible.
Recently the clans have been tense and the increasing number of rogues seems to be adding to the tension. Food is scarce this season and the number of healthy pups has been few. The packs must decide whether to band together or fight eachother to live. While still the mystery of the call looms over them.
Character choices:
We need mostly wolves but one or two bears won't be turned away.
Ranks will be given as the game goes unless I say otherwise, if you want to be a part of the the Nvda you need to start as a Rogue. (we will need Alpha's to represent at least two other rival clans)

"It may be..."
"Then why not not jump at it? If I were in your position-"
"You'd already be in his den."
"Why you insolent little..."
"I have to go."
Ayla sood from her spot next to the older female and walked a ways away before sitting down on her haunches, thinking. She had been given a great honor, or so she was told, but having to be with that creep of an Alpha didn't sound like an honor to her. She thought she would refuse.
She went over to the large Alpha male and stood behind him. "Have you considered my offer some more?" he asked.
"I have."
"Well then?"
"The answer is no."
The black wolf spun around snarling and snapped, "No? You are telling me no?"
Ayla's ears went back in irritation, "Why yes, I know that is a foreign word for you..."
The Alpha barked furiously, "Watch it pup! You don't know what you're giving up! You would have power and you would rear warriors of great caliber! You would have me!"
Ayla snarled slightly, "Actually I don't want you...you aren't my type."
The Alpha broke after that he jumped on her wrestling her to the ground trying to force her to give him his way. She fought back. After a few minutes of rolling in the dirt both wolves were bruised and bleeding slightly, and the Alpha backed off but didn't let his gaurd down.
"You have twenty seconds to get out of my sight..." He snapped
"I've been waiting for the invitation for years." Ayla said before trotting away from the pack and out into the wilderness on her own.

It was several minutes later when a young female walked into the clearing where he lay. He stood up, his tail wagging slightly he said, "Hello, am I to assume that you were the one recently expelled from your pack?"

Ayla looked up suspiciously at the new wolf, "Yes...but I never truly counted them as my pack. I didn't belong there anyway..."
She stopped before she said anything else. Her tail remained slightly rigid in agitation. "Who are you and why are you evesdropping?" she said with a little growl.
She kept a slight distance from the old wolf and waited; she wouldn't get nearer until she was sure she trusted him.

If she had learned anything while living with the pack, it was to not trust anyone too easily; even your own pack members. But this wolf seemed harmless at the moment and she had a feeling-- perhaps a mislead one-that if he caused any trouble she wagered she could take him.

Tai was a great bear who had found her when she was a pup and decided to take care of her as his own (instead of eating her for lunch), until he died when she was five months old.
Ayla's white fur blew in the wind over her small build, she had been the runt of her litter and it certainly showed, but she would never let it stop her. But, it was also the reason for several of the scars that marked her skin.
She perked her ears forward and asked the old wolf, "Are you going somewhere?

"Alright I'll come but only because I currently have nowhere to go..." Ayla said padding off in the direction of the scent.
She still kept a close eye on Cano, just in case.

The doe started to make her way at Ayla, and Ayla prepared to jump. 3....2...1.... Pounce! Ayla lept out of the grass and into the doe's face. The doe reared up squealing horribly. Ayla snapped at her prey's throat backing her up into Cano so she was cornered, then Ayla dug her claws into the doe's shoulder; trying to bring her down.

Anuk lay in his hole watching the two wolves suspiciously. They had killed in his territory, or what he considered his territory, and he felt like he needed to retaliate. He watched as the white wolf stared to leave and his ears perked up when he saw her, "Beautiful one, that" he mumbled to himself, but then quickly rebuked himself because he knew he was going to have to punish her. He was about to do something foolish, he took a slow step up into the daylight.

Ayla was about 10 meters away from Cano when she heard the faint growl of an attacker. She spun arround expecting to be ambushed, but then realized the culprit was after Cano, not her. "Hey Old Man! Behind you!" She said as she caught sight of Anuk's black fur. She started to lope back towards them.

Ayla laughed, "Your lake? You're a loner! Loner's can't claim territory. This is Shawnee land." Ayla said with a little uncertainty. She looked at the elder wolf for confirmation.
Anuk lowered his head and shook it in defiance. "It may not be mine yet but it will be! and this isn't Shawnee territory this is the Nvda's land!" He lifted his head high as an Alpha would. "I will defeat the great leader of the Nvda and I will be the greatest Alpha in the land."
Ayla's ears perked up at the name Nvda she thought she had heard it before. She scrunched up her nose at the black wolf. He seemed to be about a year older than her perhaps two, but he also seemed to be a fool.

Anuk scoffed at Cano, "I don't need to prove myself to you! I am Anuk son Arthos the revered Alpha of the Shiloh wolf tribe!" He didn't seem to realize, however that although the Shiloh pack wasn't the lowest pack on the chain, they were outmatched by many in strength, numbers, and territory. Some wolves hadn't even heard of the Shiloh clan.
Ayla looked at Anuk mockingly, "Shiloh tribe? I've never heard of it." She tilted her head slightly watching the wolf's reaction. The real tribe that didn't ring a bell was this Nvda tribe, both of the male wolves seemed to now it, but it was a mystery to her.

Ayla watched him go, "Pleasant...hey Old Man? Who are the Nvda? Everyone seems to know them..." She said her ears flicking forward.
