Alias: Chameleon or sometimes Mimic

Age: 17
Appearance: Natasha has lithe but very athletic build, standing at roughly 5'10" with fair though noticeably scarred skin, most of them on her arms and hands though she is rather striking looking despite this. These angry marks seem to have been caused by burns of some kind though they are somehow unnatural looking, especially around her black painted nails. Her dark purple dyed hair is very straight, reaching down to her shoulders and her darting, energetic eyes have irises so dark they appear to be black. Nat is almost constantly fidgeting, doing something or simply scratching away at herself, extremely twitchy and is prone to occasional, seizure-like fits of movement.

Personality

Natasha is extremely intelligent, an excellent problem solver and having a normally scientific approach to life though she is known to engage in presumably purposeful illogical, clownish behavior. She loves to gain knowledge and understanding of the universe with a reckless curiosity and wild imagination when it comes to creating 'hypotheses' but also likes to share this with others she trusts. Sadly her powers have caused mental instability resulting in near paranoid schizophrenia meaning she trusts very few people, increased use of her powers worsening this sometimes to the point of becoming violent. However, Nat is otherwise friendly, helpful and jokes often through a slight nervous stutter. She rarely takes a leadership role and is hard to predict, sometimes eager to enter a new situation and other times reluctant to do anything for her own reasons. She has poor people skills and easily upset or angered.

Equipment

Clothing: Nat generally wears skinny denim jeans with runners and a short sleeved T-shirt over a long sleeved, horizontally striped shirt of dark colours. This is normally coupled with a long, black trench coat of some description.

Powers/Abilities:
Natasha has a hyper-sensitivity to her surroundings though not completely focused on her hearing, sight, smell or taste but rather touch. By making skin contact with an object or sometimes other forces such as electricity she is able to obtain information about its composition, how it works (if it's a machine) and sometimes a sort of history of what its been through, all gained within seconds. Her body chemistry and genetic traits also enable her to 'assimilate' and reproduce their properties briefly during this contact. For example, were she to touch an iron bar she could turn her skin to iron. Unfortunately it is difficult for Chameleon to control how long this lasts or even how she expresses the traits, e.g. her muscles would turn to iron and be unable to move. The absorption of information is quite overwhelming and thus has lead to to her mental instability, especially when in contact with things such as electricity rather than objects.

Nat has training in karate and this, coupled with her athleticism and enhanced senses, makes her an excellent fighter. She also happens to be an excellent cook.

History

Natasha had a relatively normal childhood with few indications of the powerful mutations that lay dormant in her genetic code until she was 13. It became apparent that she had extraordinary senses for a human and seemed to know a lot about her surroundings with little effort in observing but other than this her mutations were still hidden. Finally on her 17th birthday, shortly before completing year 12, the true extent of her abilities was revealed when she was in physics. While setting up an electrical circuit using a strong power source, though normally quite careful, Nat was momentarily distracted by a friend and was electrocuted. From there her memory is blank, waking up in an unfamiliar town with burns on her arms and blood on her hands. The teenager quickly found she learn from objects by touch and even mimic them to an extent, the electrical jolt obviously having activated her mutant gene.
