The setting takes place 60 years after the events of X-Men III: The Last Stand. Storm essentially runs the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, as well as running the US/North American branch of the now world renown X-Men. The X-Men have branches in all parts of the world now, as do the Brotherhood of Mutants. Though the Brotherhood is more centralized and under control of the main 'branch', which is headed by none other than Phoenix herself (yes, I know this is contradictory to the original story's Phoenix), the X-Men are more of a conglomerate of organizations allied under a central theme, which is the betterment of Human/Mutant relations and the assistance to those Mutants in need of asylum. Most of these are what make up the majority of the numerous X-Men teams, though not all participate, and not all X-Men members were in need of assistance. Some found civilized uses for their powers and were readily accepted into society and wish to help those who aren't as ... well-off.

The Brotherhood is still focused on Mutant-domination, though biding time right now as a breakout of force would spell ruin for both races at this moment, plus with the X-Men always in the way, total domination has been... hard to achieve.

Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters still breaths, though the passing of the Professor left everyone in shambles, the students and staff members realized the necessity of expedience and picked themselves up and went on with their lives. With Jean Grey dead, and Cyclops missing, circumstances left Storm in charge of the institute. With the help of her fellow comrades, she ran the school with an iron thumb and a gentle hand. The school prospered and eventually became well known as a place where mutants can go for help.

A few years after Jean Grey's death, the persona known as The Phoenix awoke, again. With tumult ad chaos, The Phoenix raised her host from the grave and took off. To the X-Men, they would have no idea what awaited them in the future. Phoenix, however, found a place near Magneto's side, though her intentions were not known. She eventually became a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Mutant Wars that brought devastation and chaos to the rest of the world. However, near the end of the war, Magneto found his end, and with Magneto gone, Phoenix took up the mantel of leader of The Brotherhood. At this point, with intentions still unknown, The Brotherhood stopped it's advancement towards world conquest, and the world rebuilt itself. Unfortunately, not without consequences.

Now it is a New Age of Mutants. Mutants are still born everyday and are shunned by society everyday, but they have become commonplace throughout the world. The Brotherhood still advances its numbers, as does the organization known as The X-Men. Several smaller mutant and non-mutant factions have been created, merged, and destroyed, but none have had the vigor and success as the two organizations known as The Brotherhood of Mutants and The X-Men.

I wish to inform you that we members of the Vatican can no longer protect the child-mutant known as Vita Tribuo. We believe her freedom and/or her life is in grave danger and we are afraid we cannot prevent those who wish her harm from getting to her. We have come to an understanding and believe your institute will be able to best provide her with what she needs. We request immediate assistance as soon as possible.

With every game there be some rules. So listen up for ye need to understand what be going on.

• No God-Modding, metagaming, etc...
• No single line posts. This is a big no no in this game and all the other games of mine. I can't stand one line posts for the simple fact that it doesn't give you a good enough description about what is going on,l so please be descriptive. This doesn't mean write a novel every time you post, either.
• Don't kill off other players. Only I have the power to do so.
• Profanity isn't a problem in this game. Just don't use it every other word.
• Don't be afraid to ask questions. We're pretty sure that someone else is wanting to ask the same question. Remember no question is stupid. We are all ears when it comes to satisfying the players in one of our games, and we won't let you down.
• Make sure you post in 3 days. If you are going to be gone longer then 3 days make sure you alert the me. When you do so, I have the right to NPC or reassign your character until your return.
• Don't spam the OOC. If you do, you shall be punished.
• Do not join this game and then never play in it. That pisses me off, its rude. If you don't post within 2 days after you've been initiated into the game, and you haven't told me that you won't be able to post in this 2 day time limit then you will be removed from the game.
• Breaking these rules results in punishment. I have the right to give you whatever punishment seems suit to fit.
• Any questions please ask. I like questions. Ask questions. ... Just don't bombard me with more than one at a time. and wait for an answer on the first before asking a second. It's possible someone else may have already asked it for you.
• Have fun! Fun is essential in this game. If you don't have fun then posting becomes a chore and we don't want that, so fun for everyone!
