Cyrus strolled through the grounds of the school, a cigarette sticking out from between his lips the thin rancid smoke trailing lightly from the end. His mind was relaxed, his one good eye lidded against the sun as it's warm light washed over him. He reached up and took the cigarette from his lips, blowing smoke into the air. It was a fantastic day. Cyrus sat down on a bench lining the brick paved drive. It was so quiet....

A soft whirr sounded from somewhere inside of Cyrus' body as small pumps revved to life. Cyrus returned the cigarette to his lips, which trembled, causing ash to cascade onto his heavy black cargo pants. Pressure shifted inside of him, causing him to grimace slightly as small tubes protruding from the base of his neck down under his shirt to his spine filled with thick bright blue fluids. It lasted for about thirty seconds before the whirring stopped and the pressure was relieved. It was his filtering system. It ran it's cycle every two hours gradually refining the fluids that his body manufactured. Cyrus relaxed once more and closed his eyes as he leaned back, enjoying the sun to the fullest.

Ember sat in the treeline by the side of the beach surrounded by blossoming trees, the sun light bounced off the water. She was practicing being able to control her powers so she could chose to light certain objects when touching them and was hoping to eventually be able to do it without having to touch them. Unfortunately it was not likely that she'll ever be able to touch someone without them burning into ashes.

She kept trying to ignite a small pile of twigs which had a rock circle around them to contain the fire if she can made on. As she amused no one will be down here she had removed her cardigan revealing her arms, even without her powers it would be too hot to be wearing it today.

Cyrus stretched, groaning he stood once more and headed towards the back. He closed his good eye allowing his implant to adjust and wake up it's higher functions. Bright blue indicators winked into existence first reading out a greeting only he could see before measuring every little thing from the width of the walkway to the number of manicured trees and shrubs to the acidity level of the soil in the area. Cyrus cycled through filters in the device, lessening the amount of spontaneous calculations and saving the processing power for ocular power. He stopped in the walkway and tapped off ash from the end of his cigarette as he tested the device attached to the side of his head, connected directly to his ocular nerves. He zoomed in over the horizon of the lake until he could pick out a deer milling about on the opposite coast. He reset the zoom before his attention was grabbed by movement at the treeline. He blew out another stream of smoke as he sighed. Thus his peaceful morning was to be interrupted.

Ember kept trying to ignite the wood and suddenly the twigs caught alight and she didn't move her hand away quick enough burning her hand by accident.
'Shit!' She cursed, pulling her hand back the fire went out of control catching fire to the foliage on the ground. She jumped up slinging her cardigan back on looking round not sure what to do.

"You really shouldn't go about lighting the forest on fire, kid!" Cyrus came in, quickly stomping out the flames with his boots as best he could. "They have training rooms for shit like this."

He looked over at the girl, good eye narrowed slightly. His implant scanned her briefly uploading a name and file on her directly into his brain. "Don't believe we've met before....I'm Cyrus."
