Philosophical Seebot and recon specialist, in short; a well spoken gentleman of action, only replace the monocle with a gasmask.
With short brown hair, unassuming brown eyes, and standing just under six feet tall, this Seebot looks fairly average and rather normal. His facial features are gaunt, but not to the point of making him look unhealthy, and the rest of his body follows this trend, all lean muscle stretched over a thin frame. For the most part, he looks friendly and approachable, always sporting a friendly grin or smile, and if he is in a particularly relaxed mood he may even help himself to a session of pipe smoking.
Grish favours comfortable, practical clothing and so he rarely bothers to change out of his dull gray combat fatigues. It should be noted that he does not wear his gasmask while off duty, but he does carry it around with him.
There are two definitive sides to Grish, there is his social side, where he is outgoing, cheery, and friendly, always eager to spark up a conversation or brighten someone’s mood with a witty comment and his odd centuries old English mannerisms. But whenever Grish has a job to do, or a task to complete, his overall demeanour changes drastically, he becomes focused, morbid, and downright unpleasant to deal with, unless being a cheery bloke is a means of completing his task.
These two sides of Grish are solely how he appears on the outside, running through both of these personality shifts is his calm headed, reason and logic based thought processes. For Grish is determined to take steps towards self-actualization, and he takes great care to be as objective and understanding as possible, never jumping to conclusions or acting harshly, when he acts, it is deliberate and well calculated.
The underlining cause for these two distinct but not independent personalities is due to Grish’s two main purposes in life. On one hand, Grish is a Seebot, while not originally designed for military service, he found himself well suited to the task of reconnaissance and light raiding work. But on the other hand, Grish fancies himself a social, political, economical and cultural philosopher, and he constantly is writing in his notebook, developing theories and ideas on a wide range of topics.
Grish’s gray combat fatigues have a few interesting features, primarily, a series of conductive coils run throughout its entirety, and linked to a thermometer, it regulates itself to allow Grish to remain invisible to heat based optics. To complete his uniform, Grish wears a full faced gas mask, to contain the heat emitted by his face and breath as well as allowing him to recon in hazardous environs. In addition to this, there is a fine netting covering parts of his back, legs and hood, this is so that Grish can use local foliage to better break up his outline.
Being a Seebot, Grish was allowed a few special commendations from the military, primarily he was allowed to choose his own weapon load out. Not satisfied with choosing from the militaries armoury, Grish collaborated with several Creatobots to design an entirely new rifle suited specifically for his needs. The new weapon had to be first and foremost; deadly accurate and reliable in all conditions and battlefield contingencies, firepower and lethality were far seconds. The end result was a weapon that in both aesthetics and function, was nearly identical to the centuries old bolt action rifles used during the World Wars. But all the major changes were on the internals, for this was not a rifle in the truest sense of the word, the barrel of this weapon was smoothbore, featuring no rifling. The reason for this is that the ammunition fired by this weapon are explosive sabot rounds. These sabot rounds allowed Grish to make single, accurate shots at incredible ranges, due to the reduced bullet drop and improved ballistics discarding sabot rounds provided. The downside of course was that the weapon had a fair amount of recoil, and the special ammunition was prohibitively expensive to make, but in Grish’s mind it was a small price to pay for his continued existence.
Originally, Grish was born and raised to be a photo-journalist, specifically meant to cover the skirmishes taking place in the designated warzones. And for the first two decades of his life this is exactly what he did, take pictures then write articles about them and his experiences of war. But after awhile, Grish started to realize that he could do a lot more good if he was an actual combatant, and promptly joined up as a reconnaissance unit. At his joining, the Military was happy to have him, but Grish made one request; he wanted to work alone, and have a level of autonomy from the chain of command. After a quick discussion period, he was granted his request, but only as long as he continued to provide accurate, up to date, and helpful recon of enemy forces. That was nearly thirteen years ago, Grish still works as a recon bot, and he plans to keep it that way for many more years to come.
