Introduction
Life was good for the while. The people in the three bases built a thriving economy, agriculture, and, being most influential, a technological boom. The most influential of the technology was the vehicle referred to as a T.R.U.C. (Transport Rig for Unlimited Construction). This was an AI controlled ground vehicle, ranging in size from a small bus, to a large plane. They carried many thousands of tons of construction material for, well, construction sites. The TRUCs are also armed with a powerful tractor beam, or multiple, depending on the size. This tractor beam not only placed the material where it needed to be, but also most every other construction job. What usually would take years to build, only took weeks now.
Using this new technology, a city was built in what was formerly Montana. This became a massive trading hub, where most transporting convoys passed through. The city became massive and rich. But, with such riches, comes an equal greed for more. Soon, the city imposed a tax on the people moving through. The tax prices grew and grew, in each city. Soon, many of the poor who couldn't go through the city, settled down just outside of each of them. They formed bands of scavengers, referred to as The Collectors. They gathered up loose ends and made weapons from the old and discarded technology of the past. Some say they are funded by a someone with a lot of power.
In any case, they have instilled fear on each city, and, through much terrorist acts, caused a war between the peoples. Through the years that followed, it was mainly a cold war. Just the research of weapons, and pile up. Soon, each city eventually developed the formerly fabled synaptic link technology. This technology essentially connects a humans nerves with some form of robot, vehicle, or other technology. After the development of this technology, a war was sparked, and ignited. No one knows how, and yet, not many care how. The previous period of a cold war caused great pride within their own respective cities.
Yet, there are still quite a few who want to find out why this all started. Wanting to put an end to the war, The Collectors, and whoever caused this terrible battle in the first place...

The snow bound lands of Alaska have escaped most of the effects of the past nuclear war.
1 postsDeath Valley
The city that developed in a desert. Nobody thought they would survive here, but agriculture thrived in the sun, as long as water was sufficiently supplied.
1 postsNew York
The post-apocalyptic city of New York. Scattered remains of the city in the horizon as people live in the newer city just next door on the mainland.
0 postsMontana
The trading hub turned battlefield. This former city has become a hive for soldiers, mercenaries, and of course, death.

OOC Notes
They had apparently built themselves a factory, and a small force disturbing convoys. Mainly old firetrucks, buses, with attached weaponry. But the main problem was a TRUC that they hacked into. This meant they had access to the network in D.V. This had to be stopped, and any tech confiscated if they don't accept the terms of surrender that Joshua had in mind.
He had no backup in this small battle. He didn't want any. Means he would have to share the reward, as well as the reputation on the battlefield. At least by himself, he could easily take all of the credit.
The desert just seemed like an empty landscape. All the more reason to be on high guard. Too many ambushes were sprung- by him and against him- and he knew that he should be on the lookout through and through.
OOC Notes
"hmm, seems they beefed up security for some reason" he said to the driver,Jeffery.
Church was The leader of a group known as The Ridelybank Resistance Front,a group formed as a result of the incompetence, intolerance and corruption of the so called leadership in the New York shelter. The group was based in a small abandoned town known as Ridelybank,a place whom its inhabitants were left for dead by the people who lived in the shelter. The Resistance Front was an ex-privately funded army that was hired by the Leader of the shelter. The army followed the Leader blindly until the leader's ignorance lead to the destruction of one of the army's main battalions, the army left the shelter all together and formed its own shelter 3 miles from the New York one.The ex-army still had most of the equipment that was issued to them, plus 2 stolen TRUCS.The Resistance Front had enough firepower to take out a small country with no problem, however their goal was not destruction. It was liberation!
"yeah they have, think they caught on to us?" jeffery asked,
"no,i think the collectors have stepped up their attacks.we should get back to the colony before we're noticed."
"yeah your right" jeffery turned on the humvee and truned around, church looked back at the shelter,he knew something big was about to go down, and wether he liked it or not the Resistance Front was going to be dragged in...
