"Be careful, don't get in trouble on your first day." Jaston hollered as he waved to his sister as she quickly vanished into the school. "I wonder when I'll be able to get my first duel in here at school. I hope I won't have to wait for the dueling class." Jaston walked over to a bench that was in the shade of a nice Sakura tree. He took out his wallet and quickly looked into it to see how much he and his sister would have to spend for the time they were going to school here.

He opened it with a grin on his face as he glanced down at the cards inside: Cyber End Dragon, Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster and some Junk Synchrons to name a few. He picked out a Junk Synchron and added it his deck in his belt. He then slammed the file closed as to hide the contents from the other students that were arriving. Smoothly slipping it into his bagged and zipping it up, as he looked other the path.
A girl ran inside the academy shouting back to a boy standing there in the middle of the gates. He then moved other to a bench opposite Yukizo. Yukizo looked at his arm and it had a duel disk already on. Instantly he knew that he should challenge him to a duel.
Yukizo stood up taking 4 steps towards the other bench and pointed at him.
"You! How would you like to test out your skills on me? You look like you couldn't duel your way out of a paper bag."
He said this with a strong tone of voice. It shouldn’t offend him but should set him up to try hard in the duel.

He thought of the jocks and prep kids at his old school. What made them more popular? After a few minutes of running over ideas he realized that they all had girlfriends or boyfriends! Robert lifted his head to look at the girls around the room and didn't see much he liked by their looks. There were some, but he doubted they would even talk to him. Just that moment he saw a girl about his age enter the room. She was like an angel to him, and coincidently she had sat next to him. Robert was not one to be shy.
"Hey, I'm Robert", he had said extending his hand.

After everything was set up for the duel between Yukizo and Jaston the two duelists drew their first five cards. Neither of them knew what the other was capable of, but that was all soon to change. "Just 'cause I'm new doesn't mean you can go easy on me," Jaston said as he finished drawing his five cards.
"Let's duel," Yukizo called out as he too finished drawing his first five, just after Jaston.
"I'll go first," Jaston said as he drew a sixth card from his deck. He had a fairly good start for this duel by the way it seemed on his expression.
"Fine then, I won't," Yukizo said as Jaston played his first card: Terraforming.
All Jaston could think when Yukizo replied was one thing, 'I think that one is quite obvious.' "I'll start with this little ticket," Jaston said as he started to search his deck.
"You think that will help?" Yukizo questioned in a joking manor.
"Definitely, now pay close attention," Jaston said as he showed the Dragon Ravine he got from the Terraforming.
“Okay,” Yukizo raised one eyebrow.
After placing the field card in his hand he moved the used spell card to his grave and then activated Dragon Ravine. “I activate my field’s effect. By discarding Phalanx I can take a deck search.” Jaston’s deck popped out slightly to allow him to search his deck for the desired card. “I'll take the first effect of my field which allows me to take a level 4 or lower Dragunity and add it to my hand.” Jaston pulled out Dragunity Dux and showed it to Yukizo. “I choose Dragunity Dux,” Jaston said before putting it in his hand and the deck back as it began to shuffle. “Now this is where it might get tricky for ya.”
“Should I be worried right now?” Yukizo asked his opponent, even though he was completely ignored.
“Upon summon his effect activates,” Jaston said as he placed the card in one of the monster zones. “I can equip one level three or lower dragon Dragunity to him.” Jaston took out Dragunity Phalanx and placed him in one of the spell and trap card zones.
“You equipped a monster to another monster?” Yukizo was perplexed by this fact and unluckily for him that wasn’t the end of what Jaston was doing.
“And now Phalanx’s effect to special summon him,” Jaston gave a smile as he was about to give a good surprise to his opponent.
“What!” Yukizo was showing his shock with his facial expresion.
Jaston looked to his seemingly shocked opponent and simply gave a grin, “Don’t you know anything about Dragunities?”
“Not my cup of tea,” Yukizo stated quite bluntly.
“They are best for equipping monsters from the grave. Specifically level three and lower Dragon-type Dragunities.” Jaston didn’t seem annoyed or mad that he had to explain that little detail, more like he seemed happy to do so. “With that explained I will be Syncro Summoning for six.” Jaston put his two monsters into the grave as he started through his extra deck.
“So you’re a strategist then,” Yukizo seemed impresed.
“In more ways than one,” Jaston said as he summoned Dragunity Knight – Vajrayana to the field. “This guy let’s me do the same as Dux,” Jaston said as he put Dragunity Phalanx in the spell and trap zone again.
“Again,” Yukizo exclaimed, almost like he knew what was going to happen next.
With a smile Jaston moved Dragunity Phalanx to the monster card zone as if to say ‘bingo’ without speaking a word.
“And I repeat in order to get a level eight Syncro.”
“Stardust Dragon,” Yukizo exclaimed as the large dragon came onto the field.
“I set one card and send it over to you,” Jaston was clearly quite please with the start he had put forth. Stardust Dragon out on the field and his opponent hadn’t even had a turn yet.
As Yukizo was given the chance for his turn he sounded determined to win the duel. “Right! Time to show you some skills.” Yukizo drew a card and gave a quick look over to see what he had. “I set two face-downs, and activate Tuning! I can now get one Synchron card from my deck.” Yukizo briefly searched his deck and found the card he wanted. “I choose Junk Synchron,” Yukizo added the card to his hand after showing Jaston and then shuffled his deck. “I summon it too. Then I activate Swords of Revealing Light!” Yukizo played down the three turn stall card, “And back to you.”
“Very well played Sempai,” Jaston said, not knowing that Yukizo was indeed in an older grade. “But not good enough,” Jaston quickly pulled a card from his deck and gave a glance at the card. “And now for some more fun, for me at least,” Jaston let out a slight chuckle as he thought of his next few moves. “Do you know what is more deadly than one Stardust Dragon?”
Yukizo thought for a moment as Jaston did his Dragunity Dux, Drugnutiy Phalanx combination again. “Even more Syncros!” Once Jaston pulled out his Dragunity Knight – Vajrayana, Dragunity Phalanx combination it looked like the same setup, “Wait, not two Stardust Dragons?”
After sending the Dragunity Knight – Vajrayana and Dragunity Phalanx to the grave Jaston searched his extra deck once again. However, this time he went for a different monster, “Stardust and Red Dragon Archfiend.”
“Ha, it seems I overestimated you,” Yukizo seemed quite confident about that statement of his.
“That is where you are wrong,” Jaston said as he had his monsters attack.
“I activate Tuner’s Barrier,” the quick thinking had saved a good amount of life points along with the Junk Synchron. With a smile and congratulations Jaston ended his turn with a warning that guard wouldn’t last for long. Yukizo started his turn and moved along quickly, “I summon my Speed Warrior, then Syncro for five.” Yukizo sent his two monsters to the grave and summoned Junk Warrior. “Now I activate Syncro Strike,” Yukizo said as his trap card activated, “now I activate Junk Barrage. With this when you monster dies you get half its attack as damage.”
“It seems I have underestimated you,” Jaston said as Yukizo had his Junk Warrior attack Red Dragon Archfiend, dealing 1200 battle damage and 1500 effect damage.
Yukizo seemed proud of this move as he moved to his end phase and put Syncro Strike in the grave, “What you got to say now?”
“Clever, but that is about it,” Jaston was slightly impressed but worried in the slightest.
“It’s your turn,” Yukizo said as a cue for Jaston to draw his card, starting his turn.
“I use my field effect again,” Jaston said as he discarded a Dragunity Legionnaire and searched his deck once again. He pulled out yet another Dragunity Dux, put it in his hand, and then shuffled. “You remember my double Syncro process right?” This was a rhetorical question since he had done it two times already, in his first two turns. He used the same exact process as before with Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend.
“Not again!”
“Oh yes, again.” Jaston quickly pulled out Scrap Dragon from his extra deck and looked at the field real quick. Jaston sets one card in the spell and trap card zone before continuing on. “I use Scrap Dragon's effect. It allows me to send one card on both sides of the field to the grave.” After Jaston put his face-down Pot of Avarice the he just set into the grave he pointed to Junk Warrior. “I choose the card I just set, and your Junk Warrior!”
“What! No,” Yukizo’s monster was sent to the grave leaving him wide open.
“But that is not all. You know how I have used all my Dragunity Knights?” Jaston asked as he got ready to play another card.
“Really?” It seemed like Yukizo didn’t even notice that three were sent to the grave.
“I used three, pay attention,” Jaston gave a slight sigh thinking his opponent was just getting lucky.
“Sorry, I must have been too busy thinking about crushing you,”
“They won’t be gone for too long now,” Jaston said as he clearly knew who would be winning this duel.
“Ah, I’m wide open,” the way Yukizo exclaimed this it sounded like he just realized this fact.
“Now both Stardust and Scrap Dragon will attack,” After this Jaston left his opponent with only 2700 life points. “With that I end. Still thinking about crushing me?”
“Your good I’ll give you that…um,” Yukizo still didn’t know his opponents name, so what better way to find out. “What was your name again?”
“Jaston Hallikin, I am new to this school.”
“Well I’m Yukizo. Been here a year now.” Now that the introductions were out of the way it was time to get serious again. “Anyway, back to the duel. It’s my turn,” Yukizo said as he pulled a card from his deck. “I set a monster then it’s your turn.”
“Well it was indeed a good match; I hope you learned something from.” Jaston said as he drew his final card for the duel.
“It’s not over yet,” Yukizo exclaimed seeming to not accept defeat yet.
“Oh but it ended the moment it started,” Jaston knew this was victory for him this turn and he didn’t bother to hide it. “I use Scrap Dragon’s effect and get rid of my field and your face-down.”
“No!” It was clear that Yukizo knew it was over as well and there wasn’t anything he could do now.
“I activate my field card,” Jaston said as he played another Dragon Ravine and discarded his final Dragunity Phalanx to take yet another search for a Dragunity Dux.
“No, no more humiliation,” Yukizo stutered.
Jaston summoned Dragunity Dux and did his double Syncro process like before. “Red Dragon Archfiend got really mad when you killed him, and he wants revenge,” Jaston said as he pulled out a card from his extra deck, back of the card to Yukizo. When Jaston played down the Red Dragon Archfiend it came onto the field with a roar. “Red Dragon Archfiend, take your revenge!” With that the large red dragon attacked Yukizo directly, finishing off the rest of the 2700 life points Yukizo had.
With the end of the duel coming about the holograms vanished and the Duel Disks went back to their standby position. “You may have lost the duel, but I am sure you won a valuable lesson while dueling me.”
“My father was right! I am a failure,” Yukizo seemed devastated by the loss the he just suffered. “It's a good thing I left before I could let the family down more!” Yukizo drops to his knees with obvious shame overcoming him.
“That is not true,” Jaston walks over to his fallen opponent, “You didn't know who you were up against is all.”
“No! There is a reason I left and that’s to get better,” Yukizo didn’t seem to think he was improving at all. “So one day I can return to my father a champion!” It seemed as though his dreams were just ripped from him and torn to pieces.
“How could you have known you were up against last year's first place in the tournament?” Jaston now was only trying to help the boy feel better. “If you keep working hard you'll definitely make it at some point.”
“I used to win tournaments,” it seemed as though Yukizo was only getting worse from what Jaston had said.
“And you can do it again if you keep at it,” Jaston said with a cheerful smile as the warning bell sounded for the students to head to class. “Come on let’s go to class for now.”

"America? Cool, I've never been there, but I come from Germany", Robert said with a smile. He took pride in his country although it was known for having a bad reputation in World War II to outsiders. "It's quite nice there, you know. There are some great scientists and such there, like my dad who helped discover the hologram technology used to make these duel disks", Robert also took alot of pride in his dad. "I don't want to brag, but I'm quite a veteran in dueling. I've entered five tournaments so far, but I've only won once", Robert said trying not to be too boastful about being runner-up two times.
"You said you came here with your brother? What's his name?", Robert said looking around the room and didn't find anybody that resembled the amazing traits she had. "Oh yeah, also what kind of deck do you play?", Robert said after searching for his deck under the pile of substrate that was his backpack to show her.

"It seems I was placed in class three one, with homeroom teach Mr. Akizawa. What about you, which room you in?" Jaston had started school early and that is why he was ahead one year for his age. It wasn't that he was really smart, his parents just wanted him to start early since Jaston was more than ready to. Jaston gave one last look to Yukizo before heading to the closest doors to the school. He had to go to the third floor of the school and didn't want to waste much time getting there. Being late on the first day was not something Jaston wanted to do.
Kailana
"My brother's name is Jaston, but he is a third year," the way Kailana spoke of her brother it seemed like they cared a lot for each other. This would be expected from most siblings that just transferred to a new school though; especially when they didn't have any friends upon entering. When asked about the deck she used Kailana smiled and pulled out two cards from her book bag as a hint. "I think these should be good hints as to my decks," the cards Kailana held up was Necrovalley and Macro Cosmos. Anyone that knew these cards would instantly know she used Gravekeeper's and a Remove from play deck; the latter most likely including D.D. monsters if it was built right.

"Oh. Jatson... he's a third year? Wow ok cool", Robert trying to remember the name just in case he ever heard it and he could put a name to a face. "Oh yeah and this is my deck", he said while fanning out his cards revealing a fairy based deck. "It's quite good. Maybe me and you will have a duel sometime?", Robert thought of maybe letting her win because she may be fairly new to the game, but automatically his mind reminded him why he was here. To win.
It was at this time when Rober started to wonder when class will start.

Bobbing and weaving his way through groups of students, he followed after the floating card that just didn't want to stop. After a few more minutes of 'Follow the Flying YuGiOh Card' it began it's fall downward. David picked up the pace so he'd catch it, but in the process, bumped into somebody. As his back made contact with the hard floor the card landed right on his face. "Finally." He said with a pained laugh. He quickly picked the card and placed it back in his deck box as he lifted himself off the floor. "Sorry 'bout that. Should've been looking where I was going." He said apologizing to the person he had ran into.

As he looked around franticly he noticed that on the door next to him was a sign saying 'Class 5'.
As he walked into the room he was greeted with a question.
"Who are you?" A man shouted.
"Yukizo Sir." Yukizo answered rapidly, as if he was ready for the question.
"Your late! Sit down or I shall have you sent out." Mr. Simons yelled towards yukizo.
After a long morning the Lunch bell rang. Everyone stood up and made for the door. Yukizo however stopped at the teacher’s desk.
"Sorry Sir i got lost. It won't happen again." Yukizo apologised.
"Save it for someone who cares, Yukizo." Simons replied.
Yukizo left the room and headed for the tastiest part of Duel Academy

The moment the bell rang out Jaston got up and even though was one of the furthest from the door was somehow the first out of it. By the time the halls got crowded Jaston had already reached the stairs and was heading for the first floor where his sister was at. He went out of the doors to cross the open area of the academy to get to his sister quicker. When he was only one fourth the way someone bumped into Jaston's side and fell to the ground. Jaston held his ground but not perfectly as he stumbled slightly. The person apologized to Jaston, but that was the least of his worries. "No problem, just be more careful in the future." Jaston quickly and clearly said before starting off to his destination once more.
When he got to Kailana's class Jaston opened the door to find his sister right in front of him.
Kailana
After the classes filled with introductions, notes, and one student across the room waking up yelling 'and with that I am the champion,' then sitting down embarrassed, Kailana was famished for something to eat. "Hey Robert, want to eat lunch with brother and I?" Kailana took her time to put her things away; the hall was filled with students by the time she finished. "I would like for him to meet my first friend here at school." Kailana went over to the door that wasn't too far from where she sat and reached out to open it. Much to her surprise it opened without her even touching it. When she looked to see who was there and noticed it was Jaston her face got quite red but quickly settled down. "You got here quite fast brother, as expected," Kailana said giving him a hug as greeting before turning to Robert. "This is my brother; Jaston this is my first friend here, his name is Robert."

The lunch bell rang as the instructer was still teaching making him kind of angry that he wasn't able to finish his lesson. Robert had packed up his stuff pretty early on, but waited for Kailana to finish packing up her stuff. He stood by her side as she put her belongings. When she had stood up Robert realized how much taller than she was, but it was kind of expected because he was quite a tall guy. When she invited him to lunch all he did was nod, and that's when her brother showed up.
As expected he was taller than him, but only by a few inches. After Kailana made intoductions Robert stuck out is hand, "Well we better go get lunch before everyone else takes all of it". Robert said half-sarcastically. He didn't actually know if it was first come first serve here at the school.

"You go on ahead, I have a packed lunch me and Kailana," Jaston said as he held up a large cube covered in a clothe. "We will catch up in a bit Robert. Hurry so you don't miss the warm food." Jaston started in the direction of the cafeteria, which was double the size it needed to be. There may have been four years of students with on average 300 students per grade level, but the cafeteria could easily hold 2,000 students, and possibly more. Most people would just call it a dining hall for the city as a nickname due to its size. However even with the large room there was only tables just enough for the students and staff. In the center the area was completely empty and seemed to be separated into four sections.
"Jaston look at how huge the cafeteria is here! It reminds me of the duel tournament you were in." Kailana was clearly amazed that this was the cafeteria solely due to the size of it.
"It looks like the center could be where some students with their Duel Disks could challenge each other." That gave Jaston an idea for what he would do real quick. Take on one of the seniors here at the school, and the best one at that. It didn't take long to find him as he was surrounded by many people, some of which seemed to be fans. "So your the top duelist for the seniors huh? I challenge you to a duel in the middle of the cafeteria!" The boy tried to introduce himself but Jaston cut him off, wanting to knock him down a few pegs. "Oh and I won't give you the pleasure of losing to my main deck."
"Why you little punk, I'll make you regret those words!" The boy was clearly infuriated by Jaston. "I'll mop the floor with you and make it so you can't show your face around the school ever again."
"I'll start," Jaston said after everything was set-up and he drew his first six cards. "I play Everlasting Underworld Cannon and one face-down monster. I'll send this over to you by setting one card."
"Sad start," Those were the last words the boy said as he started playing his cards without talking. Allowing his fans to explain what a card could do. He set one card and then played Dark Hole, sending the face-down Goblin Zombie to the grave allowing Jaston to add Zombie Master to his hand. From there he summoned Gravekeeper's Assailant and played Necrovalley. From there he attacked with his monster, allowing Jaston to activate his Sakuretsu Armor and killing the Gravekeeper's Assailant.
"This will be easy as my sister plays Gravekeeper's," Jaston said as he drew a card and gave a slight smile. "I play Call of the Mummy and special summon Pain Painter. Thanks to Everlasting you take eight hundred damage. Now I normal summon Zombie Master and play Zombie World. Now I activate Zombie Master's effect by discarding Skull Servant and bring back Goblin Zombie. Now I Syncro Goblin Zombie and Pain Painter for Doomkaiser Dragon. Goblin's effect goes off allowing me to get one zombie. I pick King of the Skull Servants," Jaston smirked as this combo was just starting. "Now Doomkaiser's effect goes off allowing me to get you Gravekeeper's Assailant to my side of the feild. Now I play two Solidarity's adding 1600 attack to all of my monsters. I now attack with all my monsters for game." In the end of all that Jaston dealt a total of 11,300 damage to his opponent who couldn't stop any of it.
After the easy duel Jaston gave the Gravekeeper's Assailant back and walked over to eat lunch with his sister like nothing had happened. "That was just like our first duel Jaston. You didn't give me any mercy just like that," Kailana smiled proudly as her brother was quite the skilled duelist at most times.
The two of them sat down near Yukizo, Jaston between his new friend and his sister. "So Yukizo, how well do you think that guy held out? Considering I got the start I did I kind of wish he went first so it wouldn't have lasted so long." The way Jaston sounded he didn't seem to have enjoyed that short of a duel. Although that cocky senior needed to be brought down a few pegs and what better person than a transfer student that was younger.

Some persona who thought he was all that had challenged him, because, apparently, he seemed like bait, sitting here all alone. Seyicer had quickly shuffled his deck, and the match began.
"I'll take a turn." His challenger said. "I'll start off by summoning Twilight Rose Warrior. Using it's special effect, I'll summon Revival Rose... got your head around that? Next, is a synchro summon! I'll send those to away to synchro sumon black rose dragon!... that ends my turn." He had said.
"...you fail." Seyicer replied with a single laugh, as he drew, and smirked. "YOu have a spell card coming your way: Six Saumrai United. Every time I summon a six samurai monster, this card gains a busihdo counter... but it can only have too. I'll sart by summoning Legendary Six Samurai= Kageki in attack mode (atk: 500) When normal summoned, I can special summon a six samurai monster from my hand, so long as it's under level 4 or lower. Let's say hello to The Six Samurai- Zanji (atk: 1800) I'll send Samurai united to draw to cards
"YOu done yet? I'm getting bored." The challenger said, and yawned.
"Not even close.I'll special Summon Grandmaster of the Six Samurai, since ther's one card with Six Samurai in it's name.(ATK: 2100) Then comes Great Shogun Shien, whom I can special summon if there Are TWO monsters with Six Samurai (ATK: 2500). NExt is 2 spells: Double Summon. I can normal Summon 1 extra monser, and HELLO Irou (ATK 1700)
"The last spell is six strike: triple impact! If I have 3 monsters with six samurai, i can use 1 of three effects... and I choos ot destroy all face up monsters on your side of the field."
WIth a growl, the student moved his dragon to the grave.
"Direct Assualt. First Irou, then Zanji... then KAgeki, who's ATK is now 1700, Then My grand Master, and Finally, my shogun. That's game... now go away..." He said with a sigh, relaxing in his chair, as the 'good' duelist walked away in shame

After a short chuckle Jaston introduced his sister to Yukizo. "This is Kailana, my younger sister by two years. Kailana this is Yukizo Takimaro, my first friend at the school."
"It is a pleasure to meet you Yukizo, I hope we get along while we learn here." Kailana said as she gave a slight nod then looked to her brother. "What do we have for lunch today?"
"I made a simple dish of rice, egg, some steak and a small assortment of vegetables." Jaston pulled out the meal from the cloth it was in revealing a very delectable arrangement of food. It was all quite low priced to make as Jaston made sure to look for good deals and use some coupons. Although it looked like it cost about 50 dollars each to make it was a simple dish at the low cost of 20 dollars total the way Jaston found such great deals. Jaston set down the food in front of his sister then got out two cups for their drink which was some apple juice that Jaston made himself. He may not look it but he was an exquisite cook with very little money to work with even.
"It looks so good Jaston. I bet it tastes great as well." Kailana seemed happy as she pulled a pair of wooden chopsticks apart and quickly dug in to the delicious food. "It is good," Kailana said as she swallowed a mouth full of food.
"I am glad you like it Kailana," Jaston said as he also pulled a pair of wooden chopsticks apart and started to eat as well.
