The now popular game played with state-of-the-art holograms has threatened to destroy the world many times over, but each time, hero, stepped up the evil forces to stop them. Some of the most famous were Yugi Muto, the King of Games, Judai Yuuki, a prodigy duelist, and Yusei Fudo, a man who rose from the bottom of society to the top saving his world, the past, as well as the future many times over; but these Heroes all had one thing in common, strong friends and the power of friendship. As time progressed the game evolved further than ever intended. With the creation of the Syncro creatures and the arrival of the XYZ from deep space, the game has become more powerful than ever.
In an attempt to train powerful duelists, Seto Kaiba created a place to train powerful duelists; the Duel Academia! This place is also the holding chambers of some of the games most powerful and feared beasts, Including the Egyptian God Cards, weilded by Yugi Muto.

Now an evil organization going by the name Natas is planning to steal these cards and use them to destroy the world. Some may have already infiltrated the school and the only ones who can stop them are the student and staff that treasure their Academia.
