Seven years ago.
It was November the 7th, at 3.00pm. Hearing the sound of the bell at Valintine High School that signalled the end of the school day, a little girl stepped out into the road. She was five years old, waiting for her big sister to come out of school, and she had never been taught to look both ways.
The driver of the car that hit her never waited for the ambulances to come. Hit-and-run. The little girl was killed instantly, though -- she was dead before anyone could get to her.
Her name was Rosanna Merson.
November the 7th, seven years into the future.
Seven students at Valintine High School have been seeing things. They're abnormal things, spooky things, things that shouldn't be there.
There's the bell, ringing when it shouldn't, only no one else can hear it.
There's the siren, an ambulance siren, wailing in the distance, only no one else can hear it.
There's the voice, a little girl's voice, echoing down the corridors, only no one else can hear it.
There's the ribbon, rose red, fluttering down the street in the wind, only no one else can see it.
And there's the girl, running across the road, then stopping and falling to the ground as if she's been hit by a car, only there are no cars and no one else can see her.
Seven students, totally unconnected apart from one thing: Rosanna.
She haunts them everywhere, not only in and around Valintine High School. And as November the 7th rolls around, the haunting is more intense than before.
Of course, the students haven't spoken a word. They've all made their own assumptions, most coming to the conclusion that they're going insane. They're all scared.
And November the 7th is the day they will all meet.
This is where the roleplay begins -- outside Valintine High School at 3.00pm.

+ Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13 and don't let it take over the roleplay.
+ Swearing is allowed, but be mature about it.
+ Don't be immature. No chatspeak in this roleplay (unless your character is texting someone and text language is necessary).
+ No godmodding or powerplaying.
+ Lemons are cool. Universal agreement.
+ No having Mr./Mrs. Invincible as your character (you know what I mean).

Appearance: Rosanna is small and thin even for her age. She has pale, freckled skin and light brown corkscrew curls that fall to her shoulders. Her eyes are a blue-green colour. Rosanna wears a red dress over a white top, with shiny black buckle-up shoes and white socks that reach to her knees. A rose-coloured ribbon holds her curls out of her eyes.
Personality: Rosanna is shy, quiet, and withdrawn. She doesn't speak often, and when she does, her voice usually has a slight tremour. She had difficulty making eye contact, and even when she was alive she didn't have any friends, save for her older sister, Grace.
Other: Rosanna Merson is a ghost.

Age: 15
Gender: Female
Year: Ten
Sexuality: Bisexual, though she tells everyone she's straight.
Appearance: Katherine stands at about five foot eight. She is long and lean, with strong runner's legs and subtle curves. Kat has lightly tanned skin and straight blonde hair that falls to almost her waist. She almost always ties it up into a ponytail or braids it into a plait. Her eyes are a muddy brown-green colour.
When not in her school uniform, Kat likes to wear jeans or trackpants in the winter, with long-sleeved tops and jerseys, preferably ones with hoods; whereas in summer she wears soft cotton t-shirts and short shorts, with some form of slip-ons as footwear.
Personality: Katherine is a friendly girl, bubbly, confident, and almost always smiling. She's one of those people who says hi to strangers on the street, one of those people who will never hesistate to help out someone in need. She's a reasonably intelligent girl, and is good at putting puzzles together. She enjoys mystery novels and movies, and carries a notebook with her wherever she goes. One of Kat's flaws is that she tends to get angry when things don't go her way.
Brief biography: Katherine grew up with her mother and step-father, and older brothers Scott and Jayden. Her father left before she was born, and her mother re-married when Kat was two years old.
