"I suppose most of it," Gray said quietly. She hadn't let herself even look at the box for a meer second, much less touch it. "Katie bought it, really." She knew it wasn't hers for the taking, though she would have loved to eat, since she hadn't in a while, trying to scrounge up money to support herself. She told herself over and over that eating was not a priority.
She turned to Katie slowly, who had asked about her name. "I.. I'm not sure. My parents picked it. Odd, huh?" Gray said, wondering the same thing herself.

Ricky looked at Gray and smiled. "It's a cool name..." She said, and looked at Darren, then realized that she had been rude in not introducing him. She looked at Gray and Katie, and smiling said, "Guys, this is Darren. I think he just got here..." She motioned her hand to him, and blushed a bit.

Gray watched Katie stand up, tired of studying her music. "I suppose you don't have to... do you?" she asked, picking up the sheets of music and looking at them. The word intense was brought to her mind immediately.

"Says who?" Gray said, not really in a questioning tone. "I think you should do whatever you like, as long as your parents don't mind... Where are your parents anways? You can't be any older than 10, right?" Gray asked the young girl, finding a little bit of concern in her voice.

Ricky felt herself feel sad suddenly at the mention of parents. She looked up and showed all her concern towards Katie. "I hate it when they get drunk and hurt you..." She said sadly.

Noel looked up at the stage as she could distantly hear voices through the music she was listening too. She took off her headphones. Oh good Gray and Katie are back. She looked curiously at someone else. She hadn't seen him before. She turned off her music and went over to the stage. As she reached it, she caught Ricky refering to him as Darren.

Gray completely understood, though she wished she didn't have to and she certainly wished that Katie never had to experiance anything like it either. "So, when I can I talk to um.. that guy..." Gray asked them, forgetting the man's name.

Gray had to stop herself from asking why. She was sure she would find out soon enough. She already kind of assumed the answer anyways. "So, uh, is it hard to get money... like in New York City?" Gray asked, hoping it was the exact opposite of what she had already figured.
