Sophie giggled then turned serious. She started walking along the path and said. "Well my dad is an alcoholic and blames me for my mothers death. One night he slipped and while I was watching T.V. he burst into the house, grabbed my arm and slit it with a knife. I ran upstairs grabbed my bag and slipped out of the window." She looked up at David's face then added "I fell off the roof." she shook her head and started laughing. "I'm not the most cordinated." Which was a lie saying she was a very good dancer and planned to become a proffesional someday. "So now that you've heard my boring story it's your turn." she said poking his shoulder with her free hand.

"You don't mind that my parents are famous?" Claire asked, surprised. Tovah was totally amazing, if she could react this calmly to being told her new runaway friend was a famous singing couple's daughter. "And I am much happier than halfway," Claire smiled through her whole face, taking in Tovah's smile. She turned the laptop back to her, and typed in a website. She logged into her email, and clicked on the first one in there. It was from her supposed "best friend", and it was all about Claire's parents. "Look what my supposed friends like me for," Claire said, turning the laptop back to Tovah so she could read it. "All the other 20 or so emails are all about my parents. Or my looks. Or my step-sisters," Claire sighed.

"I don't know if i would call that boring. Well believe it or not I'm from Seattle if you people out east have heard of it. I jumped on a train about 4 days or so ago and have been riding the rails waiting to see where it would take me. My family is a bunch of religious nut jobs and i just don't follow what they believe. They constantly ridiculed me for my beliefs and i have had enough, so i took what little money I had and jumped a train.

Sophie giggled, at the jumping the train comment. "Well we can be runaway's together." she said starting to feel more comfortable with David. She released his hand and linked arms with him instead. She started walking faster down the path, noticing that they had slowed while they where talking. Once they emerged from the tree's the light struck her like a bullet, she flinched away, the light hurting her eyes. Once her eye's adjusted she stood up, even though her eyes still squinted. "Seattle huh?" she said randomly trying to forget about the sun.

David smiles slightly but feels a little uncomfortable when Sophie got close. "Yeah, Seattle, it is beautiful there in the summer, it only gets into the upper 90s and highers occasionally so its not too hot. The winters there are just miserable if you don't like rain, little snow and just a lot of clouds and rain. So, where are we going anyway Sophie?" He looked over at her, noticing her squinting he laughed.

Sophie gave him a playful glare when he laughed at her dilema. "Well we should probably go to the cheapest thing to travel on. And that would be a train." she looked up at him. "I know you have already been on a train but it's the best I've got." she turned a corner sharply and released his arm, it was starting to get hot. She pulled down her right sweater sleeve to cover her arm and walked down the street, hoping that her dad hadn't called the cops. She hoped he was passed out in front of her room.

David groaned at the though of having to spend more days on a train. "The cheapest thing is anything free, how do you think i got so far on such little cash." David smiled and stretched out in the sun. He enjoyed the heat, it was a definite change from what he had been used to. "I wonder if my family even cares if i am gone.." He shrugs.

Sophie looked at David and patted his shoulder. "I'm sure they do." she said comfortingly. She tried to think of something else and the only solution she could come up with was walking. "We could always walk." she suggested shrugging. She wouldn't mind as long as he didn't. "You liking the sun?" she asked David smiling.

"Yeah its a change, and a train will be fine as long as you know where you want to go." David stretched more and looked around. "And as long as its not the northwest." David smiles at her. "Like i said, lead the way."

Sophie rolled her eyes, she hated making decisions. "Okay well we can take the train and walk from their."she nodded her head at the idea. She led him to the train station and looked for the cheapest ticket, "Well there is one for Texas?" she looked at David questioningly, the ticket was only twenty bucks.
