Darknight and Black Nights walked into the territory of the Dark Fire slowly . Black Nights lowered her head and troted near other horses in the heard with Darknight . Their black coats had some mud on them from the long run it took to get there .

Dreamcatcher stared shocked up to Pintopattern. She would get to mentor a foal and better yet, her bestfriends. "Thank you, thank you, I promise I won't let you down." Dreamcatcher nuzzled Leafhoof. She could finally prove to herself and everyone else she belonged in Warlord.

Coaleyes stared up at a beautiful yet overly hyper young black mare. "Who is she?" she nudged his brother and motioned up at the mare. Mountainheart snorted, "I'm new too you know." Then a disgusting smell wafted from the black stallion, Coaleyes took a couple steps back and trotted to the nearby stream dipping his front hoof into it. He swiveled his head to see Mountainheart had joined him, they both wanted to be near eachother, they still felt nervous in the herd.

With a nuzzle to Star and Rose he galloped off,into the misty black forest.Rose nudged Star back into camp,as the Gatherings horses returned.Now that dawn has shown through the clouds and over the hills.Pintopattern awoke and whinnied for all the horses to take place under his ledge.Leafhoof woke up,not from his call but from a sharp kick in her belly,Stonefur nuzzled her belly to comfort her.Leafhoof nickered for Dreamcatcher to awake.When they both got up,they troted to the ledge and gossiped,while waiting.Stonefur came up later after a good graze.The Medicine horses still stood under the trees,but waited patently.Rose petal and Starbright,came out chating,happeir than ever.DarkBlaze and Whitepelt nickered to each other,then DarkBlaze whispered somthing to Pintopattern.before retreating to the ledge.Leafhoof looked around,where was the deputy,and one of the medicine horses was missing.Sandstorm came out alittle late then she stood stunned as she spotted Starbright "Star,is that you.Where have you been,Your going to mentor BlueMoons Foal"Sandstorm sat next to Star,while she waited.When all the horses were seated,Pintopattern jumped up and begain "Greetings to all Warlord horses,i am releasing some news from the gathering,and some exciting news here.Now at the gathering,i am sad to report that The Blooddark clan attacked and whiped out the Wildfire herd.only a few remain,and decided to join the clan.Most of the Wildfire herd was killed,even FlamenMane.They are now the Darkfire.Now the good news,Leafhoof is infoal to Stonefur and Dreamcatcher is going to mentor it.And Starbright,i expect you to do a good job tomarrow as you are going to mentor BlueMoons foal" Leafhoof whispered to Dreamcatcher,"why did he say tomarrow" She tuned herself into Pintopatterns announcement "ahh yes,BlueMoon had her foal last night,as you see she and the medicine horse is missing.It was a filly, and her name is Sorralfoal,untill she reaches a warrior.And i have also received good news that DarkBlaze is infoal with Whitepelt.I have decided that Mountainhert will mentor it.as you all know,i have chosen the new members as mentors.Well this is because all of you have mentored a foal,and im giving the comers a chance.We are doing very well,but be aware.we are begging winter,eat only what you need to conserve grass,and eat slowly.if you eat slowly you'll be full longer.Place extra gaurds because im unsure if the Darkfire herd will attack for food." Pintopattern glared across the land.White speckles of snow were already forming on the ground.he smiled as the foals played,Sorralfoal had been given her warrior name as SorralMoon.Leafhoof was close to having her foal.Pintopattern suddenly pricked his ears,then snorted as the VallyFree horses trotted into the camp.They wernt attacking,but pintopattern wanted to know what they wanted."Greetings Starface" pintopattern whinnied" What can i do for you".Starface looked terrifyed,"We come in ask of a huge favor.we want to join your herd.honestly,youll still be leader,ill give up my leadership.i want to retire,and be a warrior again,we all agreed,please" Pintopattern looked stunned "Sure but why" Starface nickerd,"The darkfire havnt attacked or anything,but we are still afriad,we have been tortured and much more in the past,and we have had enough.We want to forget our past lives,and make a home here.Pintopattern,you know i would never betray you.ill help keep these horses inline,we are kind,but we will defend this area,till death" Starface never seemed so brave.Pintopattern lowered his head "Yes,im glad to have you guys,make yourselves at home,the Darkfire wont bother us."Pintopattern promised.The new horses settled in fast.

Back at the DarkFire herd,Bloodlust stood on his new highledge.Hawkfrost snorted" We should attack the Warlord horses." Bloodlust sharply turned on him " Are you seriuos,i wont attack them.we have no need to,we have plenty land." "But ....." Hawkfrost started then was cut off "You will not disobey me,now go on gaurd patrol,or ill replace you as deputy"Bloodlust snarled. Hawkfrost glared at him,then with a last angry glance went off to organize patrols.Bloodlust looked about the land,3 new horses joined since the attack and hopefully foals would be on the way.

Starbright got up and whinned to Rose petal "Oh man I missed all of the good stuff.And hey this snow is way to cold!"Starbright jumped up and reared she whinned then galloped around the meadow once or twice,her heels kicking up the light snow as she went.She stopped at Rose Petal and nickered"Where did dad go?"Starbright looked around but did not see her father,she had no memory of when she was younger so she could not ever had remembered him.She looked at Rose Petal aain then at the mist covered woods.

Dreamcatcher nuzzled close to Mountainheart as a cold wind blew. Her belly had grown in size and it wasn't because of too much eating. Any horse would know that she was going to have a foal. Mountainheart turned his head and knicked her affectionatley. Dreamcatcher turned her head and saw Leafhoof with Stonefur, "Leafhoof!" Dreamcatcher gave a small comment to Mountainheart and cantered over to her friend. Leafhoof's belly had grown twice its size, she was soon due Dreamcatcher presumed. "How are you feeling?" Dreamcatcher asked her friend worriedly inspecting her carefully.

Coaleyes glanced over at his brother Mountainheart and his mate Dreamcatcher. Then he dragged his gaze to the pretty black mare a little ways off. Why did his brother get to be so happy and himself not. He raised his black muscled head and trotted over to the mare proudly. "Hello I am Coaleyes." he said politely dipping his head to the mare. He had been in the herd for quite awhile and had never built up the nerve to talk to her. But seeing Dreamcatcher and Mountainheart pushed his nerves.

Blackfire entered into the snowy banks of Bloodfire territory. The sun and snow shone on his pitch black pelt and made it look as if fire danced. He trotted carelessly into the herd's camp. He had heard many stories about the heard from lone horses and it was time for him to make his way to it. He looked up and saw who he presumed to be the terrifying leader, Bloodlust. "Hello." he said deeply looking confidentally up at the stallion. "I am Blackfire."

Black night and Drak night had gotten all the mud off by now . Then Darknight nuzzled Blacknight and then walked up to Redtooth and nickered hello .

"Oh,hi I'm Starbright,but you can call me Star."Star grazed a little then looked at him.She walked around him in tight cicles looking him over then decided hes cool.She then troted around showing off her stuff.Her muscles not a large but still big,you could see as she troted around him.Her black mane and tail falling behind her.Her beauty amazed her and other horses.But Starbright did not truely think that.I'm a old rag she would say to herslef,even though she was quiet young.She troted around him once more then got a drink.She glided in the water.When she got out the little rays of sun caught her coat making in sparkle in the last on the summer's sun.

Coaleyes watched Starbright dance and trot. He snorted with pleasure and trotted with her, springing over a small section of the stream. He dipped his hoof in the water then stepped in wading into deeper water. He let the ice cold stream wash over him and he sighed in comtempt.

Rose petal nickerd "Star,your father is of a rivel clan,he'll never be welcomed here"With a yawn Rose trotted in the feild to a small patch of poppy flowers and grazed.She watched Starbright prance with Coaleyes.She grabbed a mouthfull of poppy flowers then looked up and watched them as she chewed.She new they would be mates,and was looking forward to some grandfoals. All but a few of the herd were grazing near or under a tree to escape the chills of the snow.The foals played in the snow,but squeled and ran as they touched the freezing water.Pintopattern grazed on his ledge while watching his herd.The Vallyfree horses fitted in perfect,and were growing thick muscles and shiny pelts as a result of Warlord care.They were happy.It had been about 2 months since they joined.And they kept there word about defending there herd if they joined.Starface chased off Bloodlust when he strayed the border,thats somthing that horse would never do.
Leafhoof nickered back to Dreamcatcher "i dont know,my side hurts ill be back in a minute,ill go get some juniper berries from tawnypelt".Leafhoof trotted over to Tawnypelt under the lowest branches of the four oaks." Hey,Tawnypelt"
