Shane sighed. "The city is different from the country. You'll get used toit soon." He mumbled before pinching the bridge of his nose. The medicine he had wasn't working quite well and it was starting to hurt to look at anything. "I need to take a nap." He mumbled before cautiously making his way back to his room, trying not to run into anything.

Ruby nodded and she disappeared into her room again.

The next day, it wasn't holidays anymore. It was the first day of school again and Ruby nervously walked into the kitchen, hoping to find her father there with comforting words. But he wasn't.

(You can pick the name of the school..and if there is a uniform or not..if there is a uniform..can you describe it..or find pictures? :D)

Shane sleepily walked into the kitchen, dreading this day. "I hate school. I can't sleep n and I get in trouble for talking in class." He frowned. "Especially at Jordan high. (My friend Jordan is talking to me right now and I couldn't think of a better name lol) You get in trouble for everything there!" He sighed and opened the fridge to look for some breakfast. He was wearing dark jeans and a black band t-shirt, the first thing he picked out. Shane never worried about school clothes, he didn't even want to go to school so why dress to impress?

Ruby nodded. "Thanks for the kind words..I'm not freaking out anymore." Ruby said sarcasticly as she disappeared off to her room. Coming back wearing this dress and matching flats, she had just washed her hair and her wet curls, were resting just below her shoulders.

Shane sighed. "Sorry." He muttered giving up and grabbing a bagle. "I see your wearing dresses more often." He smiled. "Don't be surprised if a few guys hit on you today." Shane chuckled and took a bite of his bagle then grabbed his bag. "You ready?" He asked.

Ruby sighed. "Fantastic." She grabbed herself an apple and her country road bag and followed him out. "My accent's gonna stand out."

Shane shrugged. "Don't worry about it, you'll be fine." He smiled. "Hey, if anyone picks on you, tell me. I'll straighten them out." He chuckled.

Shane sighed. "Do you have your schedule with you?" He asked. "I can tell you which teachers are horrible and which ones are pretty cool." He smiled. "If you have drama with Mr. Faa, you'll have a blast. He's a pretty cool guy."

Ruby pulled it out. "Yep..I've got Drama with Mr Faa." She handed the schedule to him.

"Awesome." He looked at her schedule and smiled. "I only have two classes that aren't with you and that's English and History." Shane chuckled. "But, you have Ms. Losure for History. She smells like pickles and talks to plants." He shuddered. "Mrs. Bright, the Music teacher is fun." Shane smiled. "You got a pretty cool schedule besides Mrs. Losure and Mr. Grey."

Shane sighed. "Physics. He is monotone and his favorite color is grey. He hates kids so I don't see why he became a teacher in the first place." Shane frowned. "Whatever you do, do not burn his markers." He chuckled.

Shane shrugged. "Not really with the jocks and the cheerleaders but with all the others, I'm a god." He chuckled. "You'll fit right in with my crowd. There's a few people who want to kill me but hey, does that really matter?"

"A god??" Ruby laughed. "I fit in with YOUR crowd? What's that meant to mean? That I'm gonna be one of your 'groupies"? No thanks. "I'd rather be known as Ruby..not the tiny country girl that follows Shane around."

Shane chuckled. "I mean you'll fit in just well and people will like you. You won't be known as the tiny country girl who follows me around, but maybe the new, cute, tiny country girl who hangs out with me." He shrugged. "That is if you want to hang out with me anymore."

Ruby blushed. "How far away is the school? Of course I want to hang out with you! Cute? Um..okay then." She rambled. Her nerves were getting the better of her.

Shane chuckled. "It's a few blocks down the road. Mom wanted a place close to the school because she wasnted to live in a ''safe" neighborhood." He scoffed. "Relax, don't be such a wad of nrves or you'll look like a total spaz." Shane smiled and put his hands in his pockets. "It's not like anything bad happens on the first day anyways...Well, unless your a new student, then your first impression is very important." He chuckled.
