Sammy rolled out of her bed, her eyes still red from crying the previous night aftering finding out that her parents were dead. Today was the funeral and the day that she would be meeting her half-sister and all of her friends that would now be in control of her. She rolled her eyes and laughed to herself knowing that no one would control her. She waited a few minutes until her eyes became normaler and then walked downstairs to the kitchen. Her social worker was sitting at the table with breakfast already made for her but Sammy ignored him and sat down infront of the TV.
"You know Sammy, your sister Olivia and her nice friends are coming today. Aren't you excited to get to meet her for the first time?" Her social worker, Chris, asked.
"No," Sammy replied dryly not bothering to look at him. Instead she kept her eyes fixed on the TV. She wasn't in the mood to hear one of Chris's broing speeches on how her parents wanted her to behave and be happy so she walked back upstairs and put on the black dress that she was told to wear to the funeral. She still had 20 minutes until they would be leaving for the funeral so she sat down on her bed and picked up her photo album, slowly looking through the pictures and the only memories left that she could actually see of her parents.
Kelly hit her alarm clock. It was 8 am, earlier than Kelly usually woke up but today was important atleast for Olivia. She took a shower and put on a nice dress that wasn't too formal or too casual. She walked downstairs and made herself a cup of coffee as she picked up her Sidekick and texted her friend Olivia;
xcited for the funeral?
-Kelly She texted her. She put the phone on the counter and began sipping her hot coffee. Kelly was pretty much happy about this whole situation. She wasn't trying to be mean because she did feel bad for the little girl who's parents were killed but this meant a huge house to have huge parties at.
