A sample of my work ( )

Postby QuestionClaw on Sat Aug 27, 2011 2:00 pm

Well, sometimes I write. I write poetry, songs, reflexive paragraphs, and semi-poetic stuff written in prose. Here is an example of the last category, that I wrote recently.

Ah… Coffee. One of the three world-widely legal drugs. It is nice, on those cold days when you can see your own breath, have a cup of coffee and feel how it warms you from the bottom of your shrunken, full of ulcers stomach, to the tip of your toes. Sometimes you can even feel how it runs down your intestines and wets its entire surface with dissolved sugar and raped milk, full of caffeine.

It annoys me, the way it makes you sweat on the hot days. But even so, I can feel how it slowly relaxes my muscles and disappears all of my tension, at least for a couple of minutes. The headache when I haven’t drank coffee in several days is really weird. People say it is abstinence syndrome, but it isn’t. I know it isn’t. Just… Coffee is like a medicine. It kills pain and worries.

The best thing about it is that I can buy in the corner store.

Hey there, QuestionClaw. Nice to meet you! :D

This is an interesting piece of work. Reads kinda like a monologue an actor would read at the end of an audition. It has that definite flavor, a definite flow of the words, and a characteristic tone that leaves me knowing exactly who the speaker is once its finished.

It certainly makes me think of coffee in a different way .. especially from one paragraph to another. Yikes.

Hope to read more from you someday! I'm loving that username.
