Blade slowly arises in the elevator, the door pan open. He steps into a room, open massive and gapping. Metal pillars form all around. He walks in lightly, his eyes swiveling about. He keeps Sandelphenia close in his hand, as the spirit walks by his side. She can do nothing, but keep watch.
“Steady yourself Blade; I don’t like the feel of this place.”
“Me either.” As he raised his pistol out. Keeping his left arm extended, he shifts left to right, around the pillars. The room seems bare, dust and cob webs fill the gapping womb. He then heard the light footsteps, then something sliding to the floor.
It was a two-way radio. He hostlers his pistol as he reaches out and picks it up.
“Hello Blade.” The Radio called out to him, it was Valice.
“Valice, you bastard what have you done with Kahlan!”
“She’s right here, want to talk with her.” Blade gasped as he clinched the radio tight in his grips.
Valice pulled the cloth around her mouth off her lips. “Here it’s Blade.”
She whispered tearfully into the radio. “I’m sorry Blade….” Blade flinched.
“Kahlan, what’s going? Where are you?”
“… I love you.” The phone clicked out, and then Valice came back on.
“Ohe to bad old boy. I guess she doesn’t have the time to talk right now… Neither do you.”
“What do mean. Stop playing your twisted games Valice and tell me!”
“I’ll tell you simply, you’ve got 37 minutes.” The radio then clicked off, and Blade could not call back.
“Valice! Valice!.....” He threw the radio down, and crashed to the marble. “YOU WILL NOT STOP ME!”
Two swordsmen’s in black jumped out and started to attack Blade. Blade full of rage and fury, counterattacked. Dealing with them quickly, stabbing one in the head, and the other a clean slice across his body. “Kahlan! I’m coming for you! I’ll never stop!”
He raced on, more and more monsters came from around the Pillars. His heart faced with malous as he finished each one off one by one. “You will not keep me from her Valice!”
He raised his sword toward a Golem that was blocking the stairwell. “Demon! You will not hold me back!” He said as his eyes turned blood red. He raised his right hand, as it started to turn black. Claws started to grow from his hand, as his skin blackened. His hair started to rise, as a bright red light came from the palm of his hand. “DEMON WIND!” A fiery bolt of energy shot out from his hand and crashed toward the Rock Monster, destroying him into a thousand pieces.
Sandelphenia looked on, the force shaking the room, and blowing a great wind all around. Her hair tossing in the gust. “Blade,” She asked in fear. “Where did that come from?” Blade looked down at his hand.
“I do not know. Maybe Azurel…. It does not matter. I WILL GET KAHLAN BACK!” as he raced up the stairs.
Another floor just like the last. Blade clenched in rage. A loud speaker filled in the room.
“20 minutes Blade’ Time is running out.”
Valice smiled as he walked away from the PA system, and back toward Kahlan.
“Now, where were we?” He leaned in forward, and started to kiss Kahlan lustfully. The clocked ticked away, as Valice put his hand slowly down her bare backside.
“This is a moment for get things Kahlan, change will happen.. In maybe great and terrible ways.”
Scout pointed at the TV. “Looks like you’ve gotten someone attention.”
The news came on. “And now we take you live to the Coven press conference were Chancellor Serta is about to speak.”
“My Dear Coven.” Serta spoke with a somber, but proud tone. “We have suffered a great loss today. Our Lord has fallen…. His life was taken. Not by sickness, or a curse, or an attack to by the Damn Dogs of Islington. But by the evil of blood. That’s right my brothers, my sisters. We have been double-crossed. It seems that just because you are of the same flesh, it does not make you loyal to the house.”
“Today, Lord Corbin was killed by his last and only son. Why you might ask. I have an answer.’
“Xielon Talisman the great and tremble traitor to his kind, his creed, and his Coven! Was the man who killed our fearless leader in cold blood? After losing his eldest son in the war, we now know that Blood means nothing to this traitor. He is a liar, and a thief! He wished to take the thrown himself.’
“HOWEVER I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS! He has defected to the Dogs! Islington has warped his mind, and made him to be the perfect puppet. He is the cause. That forked tongue Demon, he had corrupted the boy. He was weak enough; someone had to give him the push. I can only pray that our enemy reaches his end quickly. As your new Overlord and Leader, I vow in my Blood that I will End the Damn Lycan race, and the bastard son that killed our leader! Damn to all traitors and murderers! Let them burn in the fires of Hades forever more!”
Valice stopped as he heard a faint noise. “Is that, Glass cracking?” He stepped around and looked outside. Just as he turned the Glass broke open the glass wall that faced against them broke free. Smashing all into tiny little pieces. Blade landed in the room, his eyes bloody red. He looked around, Valice was not in sight. He put away Sandelphenia and raced toward Kahlan.
“Blade stop!” She cried. Blade froze in his tracks. He looked at the wires, all connecting to each other. The Revolver to her head, and the sniper on the table. He had one minute left. He grinned as he pulled out two Beretta’s He kept calm as he aimed quickly. One at the tip of the Sniper and the other at the revolver.
He fired, both hitting their targets’ The Sniper and revolver fired symotantly. As the dust cleared, Blade could see that the Relover was way off now, missing Kahlan. And the sniper was tipped over on its side.
“Kahlan are you a right.” He ran over to hold her, but he was quickly kicked in face, by Valice. Blade rolled on the ground for a moment, then looking up. Valice had revolver in his hand, aiming at Kahlan.
“I don’t think so my friend.” Valice said menacingly. Blade roared as he pulled Sandelphenia out, and swiped.
Valice winched in pain as he fired, missing Kahlan only by inches. “AHHHH! My eye! You bastard!... You ruined it… my beautiful face! AHHH!. Blade tried to swipe again. Valice dogged, and then jumped out of the window. He chuckled as he fell. “Don’t think you’ve gotten away Blade. You ruined me, one day. I will end you!” He pulled a smoke bomb from his pocket as slammed in on the ground. He landed in a moment and he was gone.
Blade howled in rage. “Then Come! I’ll close that other eye over yours, and you’ll never wake again!”
Blade then turned to Kahlan dropping his sword, and racing towards her. He picked her up, and held her tight. Kahlan was surprised; his head was lowered in her shoulder. He was cry. “I’m sorry I left your side… Please forgive me.”
Valice chuckled, as he walked down an alley way, he took a right a found a small door. He opened it slowly, still covering his left eye.
The room was dark, and bare nothing inside. He slowly bowed down, in the darkness.
“My Master… I have failed you.”
“No, no Adamavi, you have not failed me. It is only a step toward the future.” A dark and whispering voice called from within the blackness. The Figure stepped into the light slowly, still shrouded in shadow.
“Nothing will stop us from our goal, my brother. Even now, things are changing.” The figure picked up to small boxes and laid them down in front of Valice. “Avaritiei has already taken great steps toward the future. In your own way, you have as well.” The figure opens up the two boxes before Valice.
There inside sat Corbin and Riatta’s severed heads, sitting ghostly in the boxes.
Valice chuckled, and looked up, “The Dead Head Seven will rise again.”
