Name:Melrose HalseGender:FemaleOrientation:BisexualAge:FifteenGrade:Tenth GradePersonality:Melrose can be described with a few key words, she's eccentric, shy, very curious, and genial. Though there is nothing mentally wrong with her, Melrose is very particular about things. She likes to have everything neat and organized, her room is spotless with labeled bins for all of her belongings. The slightest things tend to annoy her to an extent, things like uneven silverware or pencils out of place bug her. When you look at her desk everything is orderly, even, and straight. When it comes to her appearance she likes to wear a little makeup and her hair has to be perfect, she doesn't like wearing too much makeup or having her hair out of place, are just idiosyncrasies of hers. Some people are easily aggravated when Melrose does something like straight their clothing or mess around with their personal belongings, but she tries her best to keep her habits to herself. Over the years her introverted ways have gotten better, but still she is very shy. It takes her a while to warm up to people but once she does everything usually runs smooth. She doesn't like to raise her voice too loud, but there are times when she gets frustrated and resorts to yelling. Everything around Melrose peeks her interest, she loves exploring things and reading up about anything that she doesn't understand. Since birth she's been curious about the world and, despite her peculiar ways, loves to experiment with things. Everything else aside, Melrose is a loving girl who gives everyone a chance and isn't too judgemental about things. Shes a very good listener, though her advice may not be that great, she is a good person to come to when you need to spill out whats been bothering you. Melrose is a decent person to be around if you can look past her eccentricity.
Background:Melrose grew up in Trenton, New Jersey to a regular, hard-working family as an only child. Her father, James, was a small business owner and Rose, her mother, was a painter. They lived a decent life and provided well for their daughter. Melrose sometimes seemed to be off in her own world, spending time alone in her room filling notebooks up with fanciful short stories and reading countless novels. For her 13th birthday her mother gave her a camera and it seemed like Melrose would never come home, she was always out capturing the world with her lense. When she was home she filled up photo albums of everything from flowers, animals, and people. There was a discrepancy later on, when Melrose's father insisted she get her head out of the clouds and focus on more practical things for the future while her mother still encouraged her to go against the status quo and be an individual. She grew distant from her father in a way, feeling he didn't want to support her in her love of the arts. Only a few days before it was actually time to leave did James tell her she was being sent away to a school on the sea. Melrose was shocked and obstinate to leave, but nonetheless she had to do what her parents wanted her to. Her parents are paying out of pocket for her to attend Caplin.

Name:Adrien WestGender:MaleOrientation:BisexualAge:Sixteen going on SeventeenGrade:Eleventh GradePersonality:Adrien is a very free, laid-back kind of guy, he thinks life is too short to be caught up in the rush. He likes to just sit back and relax as much as possible, needless to say he is kind of lazy. He does things on his own time when he feels like it, which is a turn-off for many people. Another thing, which can be seen as a positive, is the fact that he doesn't care about what others think of him, if they like him he'll talk if they hate him he'll ignore them. He's tried his hardest to stay out of the drama that can often come with friendships, allowing people to settle things amongst themselves and act solely as a witness to it all. He is very blunt, so if you're looking for someone to tell you what the honestly think about something, Adrien is the person to come to. He doesn't sugar-coat things for people and is surprisingly honest. In some cases people have been offended and called him rude, but he just sees it as telling people what they will eventually hear. If you can deal with Adrien's honesty you'll find he is a funny guy to hang out with. He's usually nice and likes to laugh and making others laugh in return.
Background:Adrien grew up with his mother, who had divorced his father before he was born, in Manhattan, New York. Never knowing the man he didn't exactly feel bad about not having a father, as long as his mother was happy. There were times like when his other friends had both parents at their birthday parties, or other gatherings, that made Adrien a little jealous. His mother seemed to have no intention on settling down with another man anytime soon, she dated numerous men but never made any commitment to any of them. It bugged Adrien because she his mother often had emotional break downs after leaving a boyfriend, though she never turned violent or anything, she did yell at him when she was frustrated about something else and eventually just became an introvert and blocked out the people around her. She still loved her son and he loved her back, but things were stressful. Adrien got a job at a local bookstore and forgot about the stress at home as he dove into work. Lucky for him he received a scholarship from Caplin Academy for his grades in school. His mother was indifferent about him leaving and so Adrien left with little to be said.
