The story begins in Feudal Japan, when Inuyasha, a half-demon, steals the Jewel of Four Souls from a village. The Jewel of Four Souls is an item that can increase one's powers enormously and can also turn Inuyasha full demon. Inuyasha does not get far before Kikyo, the young miko of the village, shoots him with a sacred arrow that indefinitely seals him onto Goshinboku, a sacred tree in the nearby forest. After being mortally wounded, Kikyo tells her younger sister, Kaede, to burn the jewel with her body to prevent it from falling into the hands of evil.

In modern Tokyo, a junior high school girl named Kagome Higurashi is on her way to school. She stops in the well house of her family's Shinto shrine to retrieve her cat, Buyo, when a centipede demon emerges from the well and pulls her into the Sengoku period of Japan.

Not knowing where she is, Kagome wanders around a forest near the well. She spots Goshinboku off in the distance and proceeds towards it. On the tree, she finds Inuyasha, who is still sealed in an enchanted sleep. Villagers seize her and take her to the old priestess, Kaede. Recognizing that Kagome is the reincarnation of her sister Kikyo, Kaede tells her the story of Kikyo and Inuyasha.

The centipede attacks again, and Kagome is forced to release Inuyasha from his enchantment so he can kill it. After defeating the centipede, Inuyasha tries to take the Jewel of Four Souls from Kagome. In order to thwart Inuyasha and to save Kagome's life, Kaede places magical prayer beads around Inuyasha's neck so that Kagome can subdue him.

The Jewel of Four Souls attracts more demons, and in a battle against a carrion crow demon, the jewel is shattered into numerous shards that spread across Japan.

Kagome and Inuyasha set out to collect the shards and restore the Jewel of Four Souls. Along the way, they befriend Shippo, a fox demon; Miroku, a cursed monk; and Sango, a demon-slayer whose brother was possessed and forced to slaughter their father and the other demon slayers. The group encounters many friends and foes during the adventure, including Inuyasha's older half-brother Sesshomaru; Kikyo, who died 50 years ago but, was resurrected with part of Kagome's soul; Naraku, who tricked Kikyo and Inuyasha into turning against each other; and a wolf demon named Koga, who is in love with Kagome and whenever he and Inuyasha meet they constantly bicker.

Name: Sarin
Age: well over 100, appears about 21
Gender: female
Breed: Shadow Demon
Height: 5'5"
Appearance: She is tan, thin, and curvy - like any other female demon. Her streaky mixture of black and white hair is in long choppy layers, reaching her knees with her bangs falling into her eyes. Her black outlined eyes are a mystery all in their selves; the right one is a light violet, nearly white with a rich purple ring around the outside and cracks of glowing silver throughout the iris. The other is simply a rich purple in color. She has high cheek bones, full lips, and thick lashes around her eyes. A beauty mark also holds a place on her face just under the outside corner of her right eye and under her left, tracing from just a few centimeters from her nose, to her temple is a faint scar.
Attire: White linen bandages wrap up her entire torso, leaving a small diamond shape around her belly button. On her arms is black cloth that reaches from her arm pits to her wrists, with matching linen bandages wrapped tightly around just to hold them in place. On her hips rest black pants that reach and gather just above her knees. Her heels to mid-shin are wrapped up in bandages as well. Around her neck she wears a ground length black cloak with an over sized hood, during the day it covers her from head to toe, but at night she lets the hood down and either wears it pushed behind her shoulders or around just one side of her body.
Weapon: Two hand held scythes, connected to thin chains that reach a few yards and are also connected around her wrists.
Abilities: A telepath, as well as a telekinetic. Being a shadow demon she can manipulate shadows and even meld into them for protection. At night she can be virtually unstoppable, due to the amount of shadows present.
Personality: To be revealed.
Short Bio: Blind in one eye and abandoned when she was young she grew to fend for herself, perfecting her art in thievery. She trains relentlessly as well, having no friends or love interests she needs to spend her time doing something else rather then raiding villages for jewels and goods. She happened across a jewel shard a few months ago, and placed it into her eye - having heard it could give her sight back, as well as improved abilities. She is decent at hand to hand combat, but prefers to use her scythes at full distance. She travels mostly during the day, attacking and tormenting villagers at night, Naraku has heard of her, and seeks her for her potential he sees. But she is hard to find when she doesnt want to be found.

Appearance:

Weapon: Large Scythe.
Abilities: Through telepathy, he can hear thoughts, predict actions, and even plant suggestions into the minds of others, giving him a slight degree of mind control. Through telekinesis, he can move objects or people, and even crush things with enough concentration. His left eye, which is neon orange (his right eye is natural green) can see the future or past of people or objects it gazes at (leaves him in a vulnerable state of trance during the vision). He also transforms into a frightning snake demon form that has power over fire and lightning, but his mind powers become dampened. His scythe also transforms.
True Form:

Personality: He believes he superior to demons and humans alike. He does not age, and so he beieves he cannot die. Though despite this attitude, he is not exactly evil. He claims to be indifferent from all sides, parties, and factions. He does, however, believe that the Shikon Jewel should be destroyed, because of its dangerous power.
Short Bio: Virtually nothing is known about Orochi's origins. Even Orochi himself scarcely recalls his early years. It is generally believed that Orochi came to own his power by slaying countless demons and assimilating their aura into his own, slowly adding to his power. His scythe is believed to drain the very aura out of demons it cuts, but this is actually just a myth. Orochi has believed that he is the "King of all Demons" for as long as he can recall. This is because he thinks he is the most powerful demon, and so naturally that makes him their king. Though, few others agree with Orochi. Most just see Orochi as "vampire" among demons, hunting and killing them to add to his own power, which is basically true. Orochi has recently decided that the Shikon Jewel is too powerful and must destroyed, but he plans to wait until either InuYasha or Narauku finish collecting them. After all, why work hard, when you can easily have someone else do it for you?

If he's too big of a "villain" then just reject him and I'll do something else character-wise. ^_^

Moz, you ought to be Naraku! You don't have to if you don't want to, but this guy sounds a bit like him. I think you could really bring something great, if no one's taken him yet.

And Kurai, do you want profiles for Kikyo and Kagura? I'll do so if you request?
