are the GFs the summons in other FF games? cause i never got very far in FF8 as i was playing someone elses game

The wind blew his shirt back, his hair was blew to the side as he stood at the enterance. His white shirt reflected the sunlight contrasting with his sword which he gripped and rested across his right shoulder. It was good to be back, he had been on a mission and become a SeeD; his instructor had gone and got himself injured badly while they faced off against Odin. After a brief battle with the GF, he granted Kaze the honor of serving him. Only difference with him was he choose when he came, and randomly appeared during a fight with some Galbadian soldiers. They died almost instantly when hit with his Zantetsuken, this made Kazes eyes widen as he saw the power of his GF.

Back at the gate his instructor drove the car back to the car park as he made his way through the main enterance. A few of the candinates stood about in groups talking, a few of the girls caught his eye but he would chase after them later. Right now he was hungry and if he wasn't fast all the hotdog would be sold out faster than you could say Cid Kramer. He was the headmaster of the Garden and was a good man, he had heard only certain people had ever been in his office and of those who had were too few.

Walking up the stairs as he pasted a few more people, before walking into the main hall. It was quite big and hadn't changed since the last time he was there. He noticed a few people running towards the food hall. They're after the hotdogs again, but they are pretty good he thought to himself as he walked boldly in the same direction.

"Riku, Headmaster Cid would like to see you in his office." The instructor called out in the class. Riku looked up from his computer, stood up, and started to walk towards the door as loud "OOOOO!!"s could be heard coming from all the students of the class. Riku walked out of the class and towards the elevator.

As he approached the elevator, another staff member walked up to him. "Right this way, Riku." He said to him, putting a special key in a lock next to the elevator, activating the "Headmaster's office" button." Riku stepped into the elevator as it closed behind him.

The doors opened again and lead into a huge room with red velvet carpet. "Ah, Riku! Good to see you!" The headmaster greeted him happily. "I have a special request for you." He said to Riku, gesturing towards a seat. Riku sat down across from the Headmaster. "Now, Riku..." He began. "...I've noticed you as one of the top SeeD members, and I have a proposal for you. How would you and a team of two others like to be my private SeeD squad?" He asked.

Riku sat across from him, looking utterly shocked. "Are you serious?" He asked.
"Very." Cid replied. "You and 2 other SeeD members of your choice would be given the most honorably opportunity a Garden has to offer"
Riku smiled. "Alright, I accept."
"Excellent!" Headmaster Cid said, standing up and shaking Riku's hand. "Now who do you choose to be your accompanying team?" He asked.
Riku stood and thought. After a few moment's silence, Riku finally spoke. "Kaze Afin and Ryaia Oaks."

As he entered the cafeteria Kaze saw there was only two people at the counter and he walked up hoping he would get some Hotdogs today. "hey, whats your order?" the woman behind the counter asked as he stepped up, "A hotdog." he was sure that he would finally get some. "I'm sorry we out of those right now, come back tomorrow when he have more."

Kazes eyes opened widely and his mouth dropped, he was late again why did he have to take the SeeD test, if he hadn't it wouldn't have missed out. Walking away with his head low he heard an announcement "Would Kaze Afin and Ryaia Oaks please make their way to the headmasters office." This perked Kazes head up as he surprise as to why the headmaster would wish to see them?

Ryaia noticed a guy check out her and her friends.
"Hey he's pretty cute" said Ruby
"He's more then that he's Hot" said Alexis
"meh, he's ok" Said Ryaia
"haha Ryaia you'd say about the hottest boy in the world" Joked Ruby
"he is the hottest boy in the world" said Alexis dreamly.

Ryaia was about to say something when she heard the intercom "Would Kaze Afin and Ryaia Oaks please make their way to the headmasters office."
Am I in trouble? thought Ryaia

"ooo Ryaia's been a bad girl" joked Ruby and Alexis
"Oh, shut up" Said Ryaia as she left for the headmaster's office.

As he made his way to the steps he noticed one of the girls he saw earlier making her way somewere. After pushing the button he waited for the elevator, sheathing his sword he put his hand through his hair. 'ding' The elevator doors opened, there was a man who was standing waiting with a key. "Do you know how I could get to the Headmaster office?" he asked, the man replied "Yes, but wait for the other it's easier to make it one trip."

Ryaia saw the boy that been looking at her and her friends and grinned as she thought about Ruby's and alexis's faces when she told them about this. Ryaia looked at the boy then at the man in the elevator. she was about to ask how to get to the headmaster's office when the man said. "Ok you're both here let's go." he placed his key into some kind of lock and waited till they both entered before turning the key.

Kaze grinned back as he watched the girl enter, she seemed happy and that was a bonus. He smiled back as he moved over making space. The elevator doors shut and it moved up and up; it always made a low rumble as it ascended and descended from floor to floor. Eventually the doors opened and the man spoke "Your stop." Kaze said "Thanks." Then "Ladies first." he spoke being polite to the girl.
