[Rewind of: No Heroes]

The world has changed since we last looked back.

In the bright age of heroes, history has been redefined and molded by a few individuals gifted with power to correct the fate of those around them. Preventing events thought to have been unavoidable, the world has taken a new road to betterment thanks to the efforts made by these mystery men that have been long embedded into the pages of the past.

Nations took their proper place under the heel of the mighty; no longer had they raised arms to kill off loyal countrymen with others that deterred their goals. Conflicts worldwide had been solved by quick cunning solutions of the powerful.

Religion became a dying routine; whereas heroes took the worship of their people. Like gods they stood over the weak to protect, answering prayers left unspoken as they saved the populace endangered.

In but centuries the planet had achieved what it could not do alone in a lifetime. Dreams of peace had been established and taken into the arms of great leaders.

All for the good of mankind, they had once thought. But long had that pure ideal rotted away in the festering wounds the world had left behind. Left to prune in the escalating tensions between humans and mask, peace as it were was easily ignited into the flames of war.

The year was 1999; the modern world has grown morally weaker from times without plight or great crisis. Heroes from across the globe had once again clashed with forces so strong that they shook the very earth beneath their feet. In their glorious triumphs over evil, cities were toppled and innocents died for the name of peace. The world we knew was scorched in a hellfire created by false ideals and injustice. The fighting, which had tarnished the lives of many, ended the hopes of people ever calling upon their heroes one last time.

Man as the creature we knew, would not let their false gods take them. Rallying as one, they took to the streets in protest against the heroes they had once loved. Too many lives were taken. Too many lives were lost over stopping petty crimes.

It had ignited the hate for those with special talents.

These heroes had changed the world but not to the liking of its people. Hostility had been the end result of deliverance. Nations upon nations protested against villains and heroes alike. Those with power found no refugee in the lives they had once saved. Armies of the world united under one flag of war, forming new alliances within the crisis created by the few who fought. Friends were found in unlikely places, people saw strength in their combined numbers. Pro-Human activist took to the streets, senators gained support for lashing out against those who were against the lords creation.

Heroes were attacked and innocents soon joined the masses.

The tides have turned on the saviors and crime rates in response continue to shoot up in the streets as the world no longer spun the way it was designed to. Vigilantes emerged in the wake of desperation as hate for these powerful men burned with the intensity of a billion angry souls.

Gifted youths were beaten alive and a new human wave of Purity had overwhelmed the people.

With nothing else left to save, where are you in the turmoil?

The Idea is simple enough; it's a hero based Roleplay that dances around the morally grey areas of societies standards. We start off in one of the darker sides of Providence, a city left on its own since the end of dependence once met by heroes. With the federal budget for law enforcement lowered in the past glory days, Providence has now become one of the worst places to live in the entire united states. The whole middle class here has been dropped, leaving those with no other option but staying. The rich continue to get richer and those foolish continue to come in, looking to make memories and a quick buck from the legalized gambling. The syndicates own this city now and not much will change that fact. It is a gloomy place with little hope around the corner. The rents may be cheap but I don't suggest on staying.

Stop! Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. Being ignorant does not mean intentions are malevolent. See an encounter with an ignorant person as an opportunity to educate and open a meaningful dialogue; bringing with it mutual respect and understanding.

Public Name: Ahrimahn (it's his internet handle, it comes from the Farsi name for Satan; Jeremiah thought it was cool and didn't realize others might take it as his 'hero name')
Private Name: Jeremiah Sanderson
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Height About average height. Shorter people will look up, taller people will look down, although only slightly for either. Jeremiah is at most people's eye level or close to it.
Build: Average? (Sorry, I filled out the first three parts of the form, then went to the bottom and up)
General Appearance: Jeremiah is of average height and build, with light brown hair. He dresses in jeans and polo shirts most of the time, although he dresses formally when the occasion requires it. He blends into a crowd easily. Jeremiah is another white face. . .
Powers: Precognition through visions in dreams. However, this only occurs occasionally, and not often enough for Jeremiah to realize he was a 'gifted person' throughout his youth, and the visions are always vague enough where he has no indication of when and where events will occur, or in exactly what form they will take.

History: Jeremiah was born and raised in Newton, MA in the United States of America. He was an intellectual, gifted academically, although nowhere near a genius. Jeremiah's family was reform Jewish, one of few religious left in the world as hero craze swept through its people. They were only vaguely religious, though, and Jeremiah quickly took to his computer, preferring to spend his time in chatrooms, although he did socialize often enough where he had acquaintances and friends. He dreamed September 11, although the vision happened five years earlier, and only showed two towers falling, unrecognizable as the Twin Towers.

Jeremiah is quite good at hacking and programming, although he never creates malicious programs. Once, however, Jeremiah shut down all the computers in Microsoft's lab for three weeks and narrowly avoided prosecution by being contracted to work for the Department of Defense in computer security. As part of that job, he tests security of systems by attempting to hack from outside computers, and once almost made it into the Pentagon. Aftwerwards, he helped develop better security protocols. Jeremiah was an only child, and his father recently died of old age. Jeremiah's mother is in a nursing home.

Other Miscellaneous: I don't know?

May I have a second character? If so. . .

b]Public Name:[/b] Sahara
Private Name: Masozi Kibwe (pronounced mah-SO-zee kihb-WAY) It's a Swahili name. It's not unrealistic or Mary-Sue ish.
Age: 58
Gender: Female
Height Very tall, around 6'4", taller than most woman
Build: About average. Seems slimmer than she is, because of her height.
General Appearance: Masozi has bust-length hair braided in a million thin braids, and an oval, flat face with a long nose. Her eyes are dark, almost black, and her hair is dark brown. She usually dresses in skirts and patterned blouses, or a Pakistani salwar kameez.
Powers: Omni-lingualism. Masozi can understand and communicate in any spoken language, although it comes without thought, and she is unaware of this. However, she can only do this within the duration of any one conversation, or viewing any one written material or video material, and only is aware of her fluency in her own languages.

History:
Masozi was born in Rwanda, although her family fled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to escape the genocide. Later, they fled the DRC as well, ending up in Tanzania, then eventually Kenya, Sudan, and Egypt. From there they escaped to Haiti, and then America. She speaks fluently (and is aware of) English, Kiswahili (Swahili), Arabic, French, Creole, Lingala, Kongo (Kituba), Kimwela, Hutu, and Kinyarwanda. It is not God-moding or Mary Sueing for her to speak that many languages. She is a fairly intelligent woman, and it is very common in many African countries to speak upwards of 5 languages.

Masozi was once a Christian, then later converted to Islam, although that conversion was short lived, and Masozi is certain there is no god. No hero ventured into Africa to stop the genocide. And no 'gifted' villain was responsible. She is personally indifferent to the heroes and villains, and doesn't realize she is among the 'gifted'. If she found out, Masozi probably wouldn't care or change her lifestyle. She once turned to drugs and alcohol to numb her pain and trauma (Masozi was later diagnosed with PSTD from her childhood experiences), and religion saved her in a jailhouse conversion. After serving five years, Masozi was paroled, and eventually completed her sentence.

Masozi works for an immigration center, helping interpret for people and translate documents. She teaches independently in her free time, and generally avoids anything to do with current events. She is contracted to interpret in several languages during routine police interrogations and is paid by the hour.

Other Miscellaneous: Masozi is blind. To translate a document, one employee must read it aloud, and another will transcribe the translation Masozi dictates, or she will type it herself.

From what I can see, everything looks good.

For future reference; if you want to have more than one character please feel free to do so, but only if you can keep up with whatever is going on in the RP. I would prefer you invent NPC's as we move along so that no one is stuck waiting on a response and you can develop your character as you see fit with characters everyone else can interact with.

Public Name: Remora

Private Name: Virgil Remora

Age: 31

Gender: Male

Height 5’11

Build: Medium to Heavy Build; Remora possesses a firm muscle structure that sticks close to the bone and can be labeled under firmly toned. Aside from having defined abs, he has a natural figure befitting a grizzly fighter.

General Appearance: Behind the pale bruised skin lies a tortured soul. Having wild untamed hair; brown from the stem up, they are drawn down to meet his ears and graze his brow. Uncombed, it spends its days locked up and pressed tightly down against either a mask or similar disguise. Hidden in this shroud is a rugged face, beaten and hardened from days spent roaming the streets. With a stiff stoic look, almost glued in place, he appears paranoid yet distant as if looking beyond some other life. Remora has long bags underneath his eyes; clear indication that his night life reaches well into the morning. He shaves rarely; allowing five o’clock shadow to overwhelm his face and has obtained many scars and marks across his body; mainly on his arms and chest.

Like the costumed heroes of the past, Remora as he calls himself has taken accustomed to the theatrics. Though not going to the extreme as making a fashioned hero suit, he does however cover his face whenever he goes out on his midnight patrols. Usually he wears a crimson red bandana that is tied around his neck to look like a bandits mask. Followed by a pair of dark semi-transparent sunglasses, he covers his eyes as to see the hues of blue better in both day and night. In terms of his attire, he is adorned in a black duster accompanied by clothes of equally dark color and topped off with a black fedora.

Powers: Remora has a strong sixth sense, making his reflex unmatched. Though nowhere near perfect in his ability to move away from everything, he has however found this power saving his life from time to time. Not so much so as reading the future since it acts more like a precognition of moving objects; mapping the motion of physical forms as they move forward following the laws physics established. Anything such as light, air or energy cannot be seen but bullets and any manifestation of matter is covered in a hue of blue as they follow their predestined path even before the event actually happens. For example, he knows where a knife will fly when thrown at him or where a bullet shot will land; hitting him or not. Time is not necessarily slowed down but merely the movement of objects is shown to him in exact detail. Like looking at a frame by frame animation of a ball bouncing up and down; only shown in his vision.

History: Remora is a Wolf in and out; What he is and what he does, he is very good at it. The life he knew as Virgil was spent growing up in a family of five; one mother and three daughters. The days were always long in his eyes and work had bothered him since his coming to age; as he was responsible for taking care of not only his mother but his sisters as well. Though it was tough selling newspapers off the streets, he found enough love from his family to make it through the long hours. With each day he had a different job, working a few odd hours and getting paid under the table for his efforts -sometimes being cheated out of his money.

Until someone above had noticed him at the bright age of sixteen and asked if he wanted to make more money. Young and stupid, he quickly took the offer and was brought into an underground arena blindfolded. Surrounded by the bloodthirsty faces of the underworld, only till he had seen his opponent at the other end did he realize that this was no ordinary job. In a split second, his power sparked, giving him a clear warning of what was to come. An object flew straight at him, but yet it was barely off the ground, only the imprinted motion of it was read along with the roaring crowd’s movements. With this new found perk, he had won the first round but only to be given an ultimatum. Kill the other boy or die; a decision that still haunts him today.

Making sure that the contenders would not rat out about the weekly fights, they were watched closely and paid well. For a few years this continued, hardening the boy. Till his mother grew furious with the bruises and scratches, she confronted the man who gave Virgil work.

Unable to believe the man’s lies, she quickly got the truth out of Virgil. Desperate to tell the police about the illegal activities, she withheld as the woman loved her son too much to bring his future into a dark damp cell. With this knowledge she threatened the man and asked to have her son out of the fights.

Foolish actions on her part, since those with power don’t like hearing what to do. The boy was already far too deep into the game, his hands were tainted with numerous killings. The man agreed after giving a cold spine shivering grin. Killing Virgil’s family and setting ablaze their three roomed apartment, he taught the young boy a great lesson in life; Everything you know and love burns.

It has been years since then yet rumors still echo about a vigilante being responsible for bringing down those responsible for the underground fights.

After coming back from his days left in exile, he has yet to abandon his mask despite the love lost for heroes.

Other Miscellaneous:In his youth, Virgil has developed a second personality that hid itself outside the arena. Bloodthirsty and spiteful, This "Virgil" was formed in the anger brought about by the life or death fights that slowly crumbled his sense of right and wrong. Sometimes, when thrown into a life threatening situation, he slowly reverts back to his savage self unknowing of his change until he's covered in the blood of his targets. Unfortunately for his foes, both "Virgil's" are somewhat pyromaniac's; always punishing the most heinous of criminals in a baptism of fire.

Public Name: Spectra
Private Name: November 'Nova' Lustria
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Height Short, about 5'4
Build: Nova has a slight and almost fragile-looking build, a thin face and sharp features. Physically, she is no threat.
General Appearance: Nova is a small, black woman with stark white hair that she keeps in a short cut and pressed. She is normally dressed simply in jeans or something similarly casual and t-shirts and blouses. Her features and build make her seem almost child-like in apprearance, despite being in her mid twenties.
Powers: Nova's power generates illusion of an unprecedented quality. She is able to force whomever she wants to see whatever she wants them to see. Her illusions may be seen, heard, smelt, tasted, and felt. She has no power, however, to convince her adversary that what they are seeing is real. Also, what she makes is ultimately not real. So an illusion of a bridge will not stop you from falling. She also has the ability to absorb images from other people through touch. Just as with her own illusions, she can see, hear, taste, touch, feel random flashes of the person's memory, though she knows no context.
History: Nova's powers presented themselves early in life in a small town where fear of super humans was already running rampant. She was sent away at the age of eight to an "institution for reform", which was nothing more than a prision, a lab. There she was isolated, ridiculed, abused, assaulted, and drugged. The "doctors" were nothing more than thugs who punished them whenever they used their powers and occaisonally jabbed a few of them with a needle or two in order to keep the pretense of a medical facility. In the few hours she spent alone and in peace, lucid, she entertained herself with the pictures and slowly realized that she could send then wherever she wanted, show them to who she wanted. Eventually, she came to know that the fire she made burned and the ice cooled. By the age of 20, she'd learned to hide her pills and make it look like she'd swallowed them and was biding her time until she could escape. Her time came when she provoked another "patient". In the chaos, she made herself to look like another doctor and walked straight out of the front door.
Other Miscellaneous: Being confined for just about all of her life has made her a bit off and she is not quite sane. There are also certain things that she cannot tolerate, especially needles and silence.

Hey! I'm back =] I'll repost my old profile here then!

Stage Name:
Red Eye

Real Life Name:
Dimitri Fuller

Age:
21

Gender:
Male

Facial Features:
Aside from the white hair that covers his right eye and lightly goes over his left, his face is relatively clean and well-shaven. Although his right eye has its... defects, there are no visible features that reveal it to the public, leaving him save when donning his civilian attire.

Skin Colour:
White

Build:
Incredibly fit from his time in the war and as his time as a vigilante, he is still pretty standard in terms of build (ie no incredibly bulging muscles, but he isn’t lanky or thin either).

Powers:
Dimitri “Red Eye” Fuller has the uncanny ability to see incredibly far distances with his eyes, using it casually to see up to a few hundred metres with extreme clarity; coupled with his extreme marksmanship and brutal, uncompromising ethics, his rather basic power is something to behold. What truly makes Red Eye is the fact that his right eye can see incredibly well, upwards of a whole kilometre away (or more if he really wanted to test his eye) with some effort, straining his eye in the process. As a result, the veins in his eye pulse and pop, resulting in his right eye bleeding, hence the name. However, it’s not only through strain that it bleeds – basically, it bleeds whenever his eye is overly dilated. Thus, he can accidentally bleed whenever he is in a very dark room, or when he is in great joy or love. However, he is still exceptionally fit despite his casual build, having sharp reflexes due to his unnatural sight that catches even the most minute details without his conscious mind making connections. It should be noted that his headphones use sound waves to create a sonar system, displaying it on an eyepiece over his left eye, giving Dimitri truly complete vision. His headphones also double as a music player! Bonus!

Hero Clothing:
Donning sleek, red-and-black headphones (in an eye pattern) with connecting eye piece over his left eye, the vigilante known as Red Eye uses practical and conventional methods to catch his criminals. He puts on a face mask in order to more properly disguise his face, covering the space around his eyes with black, thinking that alone is necessary to hide his identity from the public eye. His actual costume is much more practical, it being a deep red vest with a dark silhouette of an eye in the centre underneath a crisp black trench coat that ends at the knees, its sleeves torn off at the elbows artistically. He carries about his torso satchels, coming together in an X, where he puts his various gadgets and supplies; around his waist are similar belt bags where he keeps munitions, and where he sheaths his classic serrated bread knife. His pants are equally black slacks with leather boots underneath them, a flame design crawling up the pant legs.

ORIGIN STORY:
Dimitri was, quite simply, a failed experiment to destroy the vigilantes and super heroes that people have slowly thought were running rampant in the streets; it is ironic to think that he is now killing off people of similar mindsets to his creators. Meant to have a perfectly mechanical eye, his operation backfired due to several mistakes by an incompetent surgeon, leaving Dimitri in a state of shock. It became apparent incredibly fast that his higher ups did not give a damn about him when they still forced him into several field missions in order to collect data for an even better ‘model’ of himself. He questioned why he has to kill those with ‘powers’ just like him, why he would have to waste a perfect human life to push up the filth and muck that struggle to attain the greatness of the heroes they praised. He questioned... why he was made.

He abandoned the missions immediately, and returned to base empty-handed, but not empty-minded; he now had a much higher purpose in mind. He destroyed the laboratory and the resultant data it contained, as well as the higher ups in the chain of command. The rampant destruction, the beautiful cacophony of mayhem, was what attuned him to his great taste in music. He loves the sound of guttural screams and, despite having the best of intentions, is usually seen as a villain of sorts due to his crimes. These “crimes” as they call it were brutal because the people he killed were equally so – kingpins in crime, drug lords, slave master, all horrible jobs that hurt the most innocent people! However, it is clear he is the only one with morals so uncompromising to do the job right; these people with influence and affluence could not be hindered with bars or law orders. They could only be stopped by... Red Eye.

Current Situation:
Currently, Dimitri is blending in with the crowd, knowing that he would be stooping to the level of the villains and the rioters by joining in on the mass killings; he still does his job of destroying rampant higher ups, but he does it more stealthily, attempting to suppress his need to do a signature gunshot through the right eye. He knows that they need people like him even more now that so much crime is out there – to be controlled and manipulated and be taken advantage of by people wealthy and powerful enough to do it. However, he knows the people only grow angrier with his brutal vigilantism, and hopes to team up with other heroes to support the cause, to possibly even fight against the people whose actions are done to save them. He would have bend his unfaltering standards in order to keep them unbroken.

Public Name: Tigress

Private Name: Olivia Hart

Age: 29

Gender: Female

Height Average height, approximately 5"8'.

Build: Olivia has always had a rather womanly build, with defined curves and a slender waist.

General Appearance: On first glance, Olivia is quite striking. With raven tresses and dark green, heavily lashed eyes, she can be very imposing. Her heart shaped face is made up of plump lips, high cheekbones and a narrow, sloped nose. Her complexion, olive toned, is unblemished, asides from a long scar running down her arm from a mission of the past.

No, Olivia most definitely does not wear spandex or a neon unitard. However, she does have a certain...uniform for missions, though it could easily be street clothing. She wears a pair of jeans and brown leather boots, with a form fitted black tank top. Unfortunately, if she doesn't want her clothes to be ripped to shreds, she must take them off before transforming, which she does, if she has the time and privacy.

Powers: Olivia has the ability to shift her form into that of an animal, but with restrictions. She most commonly changes into a tiger, so much so that it is quite easy for her. Technically, she can transform into other animals, but with more difficulty, depending on how often she has practiced becoming that specific animal. For example, if she wanted to change into a leopard, a creature that she has never attempted before, it would be immensely difficult, and even if she did manage it, her energy would already be sapped from the task of transforming. So, the animal she ever really transforms into for battle is a tiger, earning her her name.

History: Strangely enough, Olivia was not bitten by a radio-active spider. She didn’t bathe in some toxic waste, and nor did a group of creepy scientists conduct supernatural tests on her. Her powers just…happened.
You see, Olivia grew up in a modest household, never exactly wealthy. Her father was always at work just to earn enough to put food on the table, leaving her mother to take care of her and her sister, Jane. One summer evening, when Olivia, 16 at the time, and her sister were playing out back, it happened. She was staring up at a tree, watching a sparrow hop along a branch, when…well, it looked like her body exploded, and in the place of it was a sparrow.

Of course you can imagine one’s horror of seeing one’s sister seemingly explode, so naturally Jane screamed, and went running for their mother. She dragged Mrs Hart out into the yard just in time to see Olivia shift back into a human, looking aghast and confused at the same time.

Her mother kicked her out the next day. She called Olivia a witch and a freak, telling that there was no place for a monster in her family. Truthfully, Mrs Hart was frightened of her daughter, frightened that she had other supernatural abilities she could use to harm them. The only way out she saw was to get rid of Olivia. So she did.

At first, Olivia was shell-shocked. After all, how was a 16 year old with no former training supposed to get along on her own? She spent her first few days on the streets, begging for money from disgusted on lookers. After her first couple of weeks she finally took a good, long look at her self and had a sort of epiphany. She realized she could do this, she could get a job and get by. She’d always been an independent girl, after all.

So Olivia cleaned herself up and got a job, at a sort of grubby café. She bought a small, run down apartment, and managed, by some sort of miracle, to scrape together rent each month. It wasn’t until she was 19, and had everything together with a good job bartending at a somewhat upscale pub that she actually considered what had happened that night so many years ago.

She investigated, and found that she had not exploded, but had actually changed forms. When she dared to try the talent again, she was both mystified and excited. It seemed that if she focused on a certain animal long enough, she was able to literally transform into said animal. And although it took a great deal of grit and discipline, she honed the skill, practicing the same animal day in and day out. And what was that animal? A tiger, of course.

Fast forward to the present. The heroes have seemingly faded from existence, much to the satisfaction of displeased humans. And where is our tigress now? Living in a nice flat, writing articles for a local newspaper. And although it’s a risk, Olivia can’t help slipping out some nights and prowl the streets, an unknown and unwanted hero.
Live, love, laugh

It's safer to say that they have heard of each other’s works rather than previously worked together. For some, I would assume that they don't want to be known and for others they might love a sidekick. But seeing that everyone has good intentions, it shouldn't be too strange bumping into each other and making acquaintances from time to time.

So to answer your question, I would say yes; but only a few bits and pieces in terms of what is apparent [Nothing like their identity, should they wish to hide it or history.]

Hey y'all, I'm going to make a third character, seeing as there are no 'villainous' characters. I will have no problems with keeping up with posts and will probably make a first post tonight or tomorrow.

Public Name: N/A

Private Name: Louis Aimé Algernon

Age: 68

Gender: Male

Height About 6'2", slightly taller than average

Build: Fit, but somewhat lanky in appearance. Has muscles, though definitely not anywhere near bulging muscles. Definitely appears more fit than anyone his age should be.

General Appearance: (Oh wow, I forgot about this category, and I was halfway through Louis's bio when I wondered where should I put his appearance then I found this category again! Here goes:, and then I'll return to bio) Louis Aimé Algernon is tall, with thick white hair combed back. He looks somewhat threatening, or intimidating, but can quickly become joyful, or any other emotion which he wishes to evoke to a crowd.

Image

Powers: No actual power per se, but a very intelligent man with a great charisma. Unlike the stereotypical absent-minded, eccentric professor or the anti-social, clueless genius, Louis Algernon possesses a unique ability to stir up any crowd to virtually any emotion (this is not necessarily to drive them to believe in a certain belief, but rather to create a widespread feeling of despair, triumph, anger, etc. which may be redirected towards a specific cause or belief) and is an impassioned speechmaker, never writing a speech in advance, or looking down at written notes. Louis also speaks French and English, as his family was French. Perhaps a better word is 'skills'.

History: Louis Algernon was raised in the era of heroes and villains. When he was twenty-one, home from college over Spring Break, his upper-class family (Louis's father was the French Ambassador to America, and had been for upwards of thirty years) went to a party at the White House, where a villain took the entire party hostage, threatening to murder everyone if the President didn't give in to seemingly-impossible demands. Before a number of heroes were able to arrive, the villain had already slaughtered several guests, including the Prime Minister of Great Britain. When several heroes arrived at the White House, there was a disagreement over how to handle the villain. One wanted to negotiate peacefully, whereas another wanted to simply kill the villain with no qualms. The others took a middle ground. But by the time they finally reached a consensus, the villain had murdered almost everyone at the party. The heroes swooped in, using all their powers to immobilize and then capture the villain. Louis's mother and younger sister, Darlene, who had Down syndrome, were murdered. He never forgave either the heroes or the villains afterward.

Louis later applied for and was granted American citizenship, and his career as a politician began when he ran for Governor of New Jersey, winning by just under a thousand votes, a slim margin against the incumbent, an old, although loved and trusted, Republican left over from the glory days. After serving two terms, Louis ran for Senator as a Democrat and was elected, this time by a much larger margin. Louis later was a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and after serving three terms of four years each was appointed Director of the FBI. Louis served a ten year term in the FBI, dedicated to stopping crime and reforming criminals, with or without the help of the infamous "heroes". After his term passed, Louis was appointed Secretary of Homeland Security, and has joined the President's campaign to clean America of the heroes and villains polluting their homeland. The villains are criminals like any other, Louis argues, and the heroes are no better, rogue vigilantes acting outside appropriate channels who often end up causing the deaths of those they are supposedly there to 'save'. The simplistic black and white view of the world as heroes and villains is no longer applicable.

Other Miscellaneous: Louis Algernon. . . nope. I can't think of nothing. Not one word to put in this category! (Well not one word that would be relevant)

I like the third character Ylanne. He's very developed; not a true bad guy per say but more of an opposing factor, someone who does good in their own way and ignores alternatives.

As for me, I'm working on my post now but I don't think I'll be able to finish it in the thirty minute time span I have left.

No worries friend, it was well worth the wait.

I myself am getting a little lazy; deciding to either write or watch Chris Rock do stand up.

Public Name:Striker
Private Name: Jax Taylor
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height 6"2'
Build: heavy build- Striker has tough muscle everywhere, although it is not clearly visible at first sight. None can tell that he can be a dangerous weapon unless they've seen him without his shirt, something which will never happen.
General Appearance: Striker is a tall young man with blond hair that does not match his skin. His skin is dark brown, and his eyes are different shades of blue and green, depending on his mood. People say that he was born not to match, and he lives up to it. When looked upon, one would think that he did not know how to match his clothes. In fact, one would believe that he is color blind. On the contrary, however, when he dresses himself, he asks "What won't match today?"
Powers: Striker's power can't always be considered an ability, but rather, something that enhances himself. He becomes not only more aware of his surroundings, but knows what every living thing in a room/area is doing at the same time. It's something that can be turned off, and he prefers it to be that way. His power is his weakness. He hates being so aware.
History: Will come out later.

Done.

Public Name: Shine

Private Name:Shayna Morris

Age:21

Gender:female

Height 5'7

Build: slender/athletic

General Appearance: Image

Powers: Shine has the ability to weave out a smooth set of colorful energy, looking almost like a mist. Although she can create it, only Shade can manipulate it...

History: Shayna was born in Red Oak, a small province on the southeastern edge of Michegan. Her parents were middle-class folks who enjoyed their life and lived in pretty normal fashions, her mother white, and father black. They taught Shayna early on to be respectful and considerate, and to take in a compassionate nature, far before her powers were realized.
-
But at the age of seven, her powers were realized. And her parents were astonished. Early in these years, the world was beginning to reject her kind, and so Shayna's parents sent her away to France, to live with a distant cousin.
-
Her power was the ability to transform auric energy into a sparkling/shining mist around her. At first, she could only conduct small portions of it, but as she grew into her teen years, she learned to create masses of it, enough to fill a room or even a street. But the more she put out, the more she was drained. And even then, her and her cousin puzzled over what this energetic mist was meant for. Much as Shayna tried, she could only distribute the mist. She could not control it...
-
When she turned 17, she met a man, strange and enigmatic. He wore a black jacket with the hood loosely pulled up over his face, and hid himself from the society. This man was a mystery, but from the moment she saw him, she knew that there was something between them both. It was a feeling she couldn't explain. Little did she know, that he felt it too. And that he had been watching her ever since she arrived in Marseille.
-
At eighteen, she finally found herself chasing her follower, until finally she caught him in his own home. There, he hung paintings of her, drew her and had her all over the place. Her name was irrelevant to him, but the title 'Shine' was scribbled in cursive French on his walls. And he called her 'Eclat'.
-
The two spurred a wondrous love at first sight, but fell into fighting and back again. They were bound to each other, and yet so different and unique. Down to looks, they were opposed. Shayna being with a beautiful brown tone of skin, and him a pale white. Her hair a smooth black, and his a creamy white. Her eyes a strange deep blue, and his pink/red.
-
After their first encounter, he told her that he could manipulate the mist, and he told no lie. Adam could bind the mist into a tight/compact form, where it became black and shaded, with oily colors flitting over it like a tight veil of oil. These things he created could be controlled by him, as weapons...
-
Soon, Shayna was beckoned to return to America, and indeed she did- returning with Adam in hand. And the two stick together now, hiding in the ruins of what use to be a most beautiful and principle-based country...

Other Miscellaneous: Shine and Shade were lovers in a past life. Now, they simply are bound to each other, going through fits of jealousy and love or lust. The two of them are almost useless without the other. And the two are basic opposites.

Public Name:Shade

Private Name:Adam Syrn

Age: 25

Gender:male

Height 6'3

Build: masculine/athletic

General Appearance: Image
He has the usual albino characteristics: Silky white hair, pale ghostly skin, and pink eyes with a reddish shine over the pupils. Being an albino stirred with his masculine physique and quiet, angry nature, makes him appear and seem very devilish and intimidating.

Powers: He can manipulate Shine's mist-energy into weapons. This mist can be penetrated and only has the density of something such as steel once he makes something of its raw form. But when he manipulates it, he creates something like javelins, knives, arrows, and the like. Occasionally, he can construct a sword.

History: Adam was born in Marseille, a French city. But he was left on the hopsital doorstep, an albino child with no mother or father, just a strange dog tag bundled in his blanket that read 'Adam Syrn' on the front, and 'Ombre' on the back. And taken in by the hospital, he was treated immediately for several terminal illnesses he'd possess for the rest of his life. At the age of two, he was given up to an orphanage.
-
Adam grew up with a solemn sense of himself, hating who he was and what he was born as. He kept his dog tag, and always wondered who his parents were- and why they didn't want him. Perhaps it was because he was so strange, so ugly. So vile. So pale and lifeless in appearance. Adam couldn't stand himself, the way his skin was completely white, and how his blue veins could be seen running through his body. He was a monster. A red-eyed white beast.
-
He had escaped the orphanage he had been tossed to by the age of 17, learning to make due on his own. Once he moved towards the heart of the city, he bought himself an apartment and got a job doing handiwork. Anything, as long as he could hide away from the world. But it wasn't long until he started to have dreams. Sights, and visions. Of a woman, with smooth curly black hair, and a gentle smile. And deep dark blue eyes. Endless blue eyes...
-
At the age of eighteen, he began to watch her. She was only fourteen, and things felt so wrong, so he stayed away from her, sheltering these strange feelings he had for the child. In his visions, she was older. His age, and more just barely. Adam tried to keep his distance...
-
But by the age of 21, he had been spotted and found.
He found out how to love this woman, yet at once he despised how she didn't hate him. He knew how they would be, him and her. Ombre, and Eclat. Shade, and Shine.
Soon enough, after being unable to escape this woman and the light liveliness she gave him, he agreed to move to America with her. There, they hide, trying to live a solitary existence of their own- trying to uncover what the purpose of these two people- one from America, and the other from France- really is. These two people, connected by something far greater than themselves...

Other Miscellaneous: Adam was born an albino, and because of it, has been ridiculed and shunned by society. The only person who understands him and accepts him through his grouchy nature, is Shayna. Adam is bipolar, and easily able to snap on others around him.
-
He also is anemic, bipolar, and has a rapidly deteriorating heart, and seems to only be able to keep in okay health around Shayna.
One who knows nothing, can understand nothing.
