I'be been doing a lot of research on the Yakuza or "Japanese Mafia" lately, and would like to start an rpg. This will follow the smaller groups of the Yakuza as they shake-down debters, gamble, run legitimate businesses with shady backgrounds, ect. We need people to be Yakuza as well as by-standers, debters, and whomever might arise at the time.

Women are not traditionally allowed to be actual members fo the Yakuza, but I will allow a few; the rest of the women who wish to join will be either Yakuza girlfriends, prostitutes, or hostesses.

We will follow the rituals set down by the actual group (as closely as research will allow me to get) and take into consideration the family unit that they use. The roles to be occupied are;

Oyabun; Applepoisoneer
Saiko-Komon (administrators, 7 spots) Wakagashira (first lieutenant,1 spot) Shateigashira (second lieutenant, 1 spot)

Shingiin (law-advisory) Applepoisoneer (1 other) Kyodai (big brothers or, more experienced Yakuza, 5 spots)

Kaikei (accountants, any number) Shatei (little brothers or, beginning Yakuza, any number)

If you wish to leave this roleplay, that's fine. However, I will ask that you write one final paragraph in which you cut off your pinky-finger; as this is the only way to release yourself from the Yakuza.

Though, before I do create a character, I have a question...

I would like to create a female character, though I would like her to be a girlfriend of a Yakuza member, and not actually a part of the Yakuza itself. Is it okay if she's a bit more involved with the Yakuza than the average "yakuza girlfriend", without actually being a part of it?

You know... My Oyabun could totally use her as a mistress/secretary. How would that be? And that would fit well with his character, plus, it would make you more powerful in status. I was waiting for someone to post before I put his bio up and the bio of my Shingiin character, but I suppose I'll just do that now.

Brief History; Akihiro was the sole surviving son of an industrious merchant who built up quite a fortune. His brother Gomme, died in a terrible accident on his way back home from a trip with his friends. Akihiro loved his brother, but rumors circulate that he killed him off to recieve his father's fortune. Now, with money in hand and a new detirmination to make something of himself, Akihiro founded his small Yakuza family unit known as the Chrysanthemum clan, or Kiku no hana.

Tatoo meanings; He has a large tattoo on his back of white chrysanthemums on red, framing the "portrait" of Tamamo-n0-mae (wicked fox woman)

Brief history; Antoinette Isabella Adachi: Born July 4th to the wealthy Adachi family. Antoinette's mother was French, and her father was Japanese. Her father was the head of Adachi Enterprises, and she didn't see much of him when she was young. She was okay with that though, always being doted on by the maids. And she had her mother.

She was brought up to be a proper lady, and to do things for The Company. So, she obeyed. She learned classical instruments, she got a voice tutor, she excelled in her classes. She was exactly what her parents wanted.

When High School rolled about, she was left to her own devices. She began to hang around with different gangs, and she began to really like that kind of a life; she was quite the adventure and thrill seeker. Her mother didn't agree with her decisions, but for now, her father didn't really mind.

Her father passed away when she was 23, and left Adachi Enterprises to his only child; his wife didn't want anything to do with the buisness.

After three year of running Adachi Enterprises (at the age of 26) Antoinette met Akihiro. She fell for him, though their ages were relatively far apart. She didn't mind though, and he didn't seem to either. She began working as a Secretary for him, as well as running her own company on the side. It was like she lead a double life. She used her power and authority as the head of A.E. to get what she wanted, and get it done how she wanted it done.

Tattoo meanings; She has one tattoo on her whole body, and its a small one. It resides on her left pelvic bone, and it reads "Ai", the name she goes by when not working for her own company.

That's awsome; accepted. Do you have anyone else in mind who might like to play as well? I have one other chracter to bring about still, but it's not going to be as much fun with just two of us playing. I'll try and find some others to join us as well. Otherwise, we could work something out for the two of us to play; scaling down the story a little.
