"610!" A man challenged
"700!!" Creon bellowed out agian, Still hurting the ears of people around him.
"I HEARD 700!! anyone want to go higher?! I dont know about you guys, but with this Slave, she can... fulfill ALL your wants and needs. Especially around the house. am I right boys?" The auctioneer laughed again.
"800!" "810" "850!"
"1000!!" Creon shouted, he didn't want to go higher, so he used the power method, as people went up slowly he rose the bid to a high amount, to challenge them and drop out as many as he could.
"ONE THOUSAND!!" the auctioneer yelled then whispered "man, if i keep picking thease bumb useless slaves, i can make just over 100,000!" he snickered to himself
"1000 GOLD!! DO I HEAR ANY HIGHER? GOING ONCE..."
The crowd stayed silent
"GOING TWICE MORE!!"
The crowed didn't even make a gesture, this put the auctioneer in a displeasing mood, as he wanted it to go higher than the previous bitch.
He sighed, "AND THRICE! SOLD TO THE MAN IN THE WAYWARD BACK!" he bellowed out, getting the man who bought the slave's attention "PLEASE VISIT THE TABLE ON THE RIGHT TO SIGN HER TO YOU AS YOU PAY UP FRONT!" the auctioneer finished, noticing he forgot to say that to the last man. "Take this filthy bitch off my stage!" he ordered the men. The two men whom grappled her arm,not letting any looser, dragged her to the edge of the stage where the man alredy at work getting ready fpr the paper to be signed and paid for.
'finally!, someone to actually help me around the house!' Creon sighed in relief as he didn't need to spend countless hours inside doing the tedious of jobs. Sure his slave may not be able to repair, but she can at lease cook and upkeep the house while he works the lands and livestock. He walked along the outer edge towards the table as he saw the men drag his slave to the table side.. taking out a sack as it jiggled with a song, he begun to fantasize how much easier his life would be.
"Sign here, here, here, and here." the man said writing X's as he quickly spoke and took out a tin box to collect the Fee's. Creon did so, reading a bit, then signing "come on, this is just a deed to your slave, come come pay up now, i don't have the time to waste!" the little scrawny snapped at him as he took the paper, scanning it quickly and handing it back "The auction closed at One Thousand sir, pay them now!" he snapped back again as Creon counted quickly and paid him.
The coins made a ringing sound as they spilled into the other gold. The man seemed to tiny, it was almost like he had to stand on his chair to operate his table. The two men dragged her down and practically threw her on the ground, handing Zen a chain that attached to a shackle round the slave's neck.
“Man can live with about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air, but only for one second without hope.”
