Yeah, it's basically what Sonata said. I actually had a lot more words describing the turn and what my character was actually doing, but then I realized that I had way too many words to describe a couple of minutes so I ended up erasing about a mini-paragraph's worth of descriptions. But if I come up with a non-wordy way to make it a bit clearer, I'll add it in later.
Ha-ha, well people need a scapegoat in times of stress and Cael was the ideal sacrifice that was too timid to bite back. ;P

Hey Soldier Gang,
My birthday was yesterday and of course I didn't do anything special. Instead, I just worked on my 12 page paper on Global Economy Rise of the Hegemon and Liberalization =D
I'm 21 now folks. I'm not really a fan of drinking since I'm more of a "social drinker." But it's nice to know I can get a motorcycle license!
Anywho, I'm still working on that paper that has burnt my brain twice this week, but next Friday I'll be returning home. I'm just trying to get all my final exam essays done. So this is kind of also an attendence check. Who's still alive?
I'm always checking to see what you all are up to. I heard people are just preparing for exams or something. Keep everyone up to date. We're at the end of Chapter One and pretty much ready to go to Chapter Two as soon as everyone posts.

I'm still alive and kicking, but the post is proving rather difficult because I'm not satisfied with my writing. Will do my best to get a post up so we can hopefully move onwards and get to chapter 2. On a side note, I've had a math test a few days ago, projects, and some college business to take care of before I transfer to a university in the fall so things have been slightly busy for me. I turned 21 in April and I have to admit that I'm not much of a drinker either. I don't know why people get crap faced because alcohol just tastes absolutely terrible. And with that, I say that drinking is both overrated and just a touch above piss. Happy Birthday Sonata and I hope the rest of you are doing well!

THE STORY
Welcome to Bellus…that’s Latin for beautiful. Bellus is a city of sanctuary from the government—a place where we can raise our children and know that they’ll grow up with the freedom of opportunity. Unfortunately, that’s all we can give them. They won’t be able to have jobs; not the jobs they dream of as children. The government has taken that from us and what we have taken from them is a city. Now, let me tell you what happened…
Ten years ago, you would have never seen this coming. Life wasn’t perfect but compared to how it is in the future, you’d wish you were back there. Industry and technology was abundant, so abundant that everybody had weapons. The countries went into a mass war that killed off a lot of innocent people. Radiation craters were everywhere and just before human beings became extinct, peace was made and the governments got together to create one large dictatorship called Noah, named after the man who started it.
The government felt that letting people have their own rights was a risk of repeating history. Everyone was issued an identification chip that was placed inside their body. It was pretty much a tracking device that allowed the government to harness anyone that they thought was a threat. Those that refused to take the chip were killed for treason and those that didn’t die, fled. Many of us escaped and got together in an abandoned city. What we didn’t know was that city was abandoned because it was still tainted with radiation. Many of us suffered from mutations and many of us died. Those who didn’t die were given special gifts that now give us a fighting chance against the government.
Outside the city, we learned that the government’s growing technology destroyed a lot of vegetation and tainted the water of the planet. The chemicals in the air became the new oxygen and transformed a lot of the wildlife. Bellus mysteriously still has good water, and we use that to grow our food and raise herds for meat. Life is good in Bellus, but now…the government wants to take it away.
SETTING
The role play is based on a Cyberpunk setting, which means it is based in the future and to be more precise, a post-nuclear war future. The world has suffered nuclear warfare and so there are numerous radiation craters. There is no vegetation and the water is polluted, so pretty much imagine yourself in a desert wasteland. You can only find decent food and water in Bellus. Some animals on the planet are nefarious. Because of radiation, they have mutated beyond your wildest imagination. Be creative when describing these creatures if you ever role play your character coming across anything, and also understand that not all of them are harmful. There are harmless creatures out there so no reason to get paranoid.
Do not get caught out in the sun too long. Because of the mass outbreak of industry, the ozone layer has grown very thin. You can catch a skin disease or worse, cancer. It is best to travel at night. There is ozone protecting the city of Bellus, and so only there can you be safe.
When coming to the city, if you are not a citizen of Bellus, then you bear an identification chip from Noah. Find a member of SOLDIER to get it removed. If you can’t find one, then don’t worry, they’ll find you. The city isn’t heavily populated so when you first arrive, it’ll look abandoned. More than likely, the first people you will meet is SOLDIER, doing their daily shifts around the city. They won’t harm you if you don’t harm them.
NOAH
Noah is the dictatorship established after the nuclear war. It is a government organization set out to regulate the world. They believe that man-kind is unfit to have independence, and so a dictatorship is necessary to regulate its actions. Noah resides in the technological city, Turpis, which is Latin for ugly. The citizens of this city all have identification chips implanted in their body. With this chip, the government is capable of watching their every action and monitoring their vitals. Anyone that breaks the law will not get away.
The government tells you your job whether you want to work there or not. The rich have it better than the poor for the rich experience freedom. Having money in your wallet is the only thing that will get you byes from the government. Noah has a vast military of advanced weapons and technology but they find it difficult to capture the city Bellus. Bellus is the only formidable opponent of Turpis.
The government wants Bellus for its fresh water and vegetation. They also want to reclaim the people that have fled Turpis and punish them for their crimes. If any of them prove valuable, they just might be brainwashed and stuck in the Turpis military.
Noah has started to breed super soldiers to deal with the beings of Bellus. An army of super soldiers is nothing to underestimate but Bellus’s elite militia SOLDIER deals with those goons all the time. It is once in awhile that Noah will send out the Colossus, a giant tank with an arsenal created for dealing with the gifted citizens of Bellus. A new weapon is created everyday to deal with SOLDIER. How long will this storming last?
SOLDIER
SOLDIER is the militia of Bellus—the standing force that protects the city from Turpis and all other threats. The organization is run by the gifted as they go about monitoring the city’s conditions. SOLDIER is responsible for making sure all identification chips are out of every refugee that arrives at Bellus. If a chip is to be left within the body of a fugitive and Turpis finds out that that person has escaped, the chip will instantly kill them.
SOLDIER is also an underground group of specialists. They have a ranking system from rookie to officer. Members get promoted if their skills improve and they can also be promoted if they defeat a higher rank in combat. Rank is based on role play and combat skill. Use this role play to improve your writing ability if you ever want to get promoted. This is the SOLDIER ranking system:
ONE DIAMOND – Boot – if you’re a Boot, then that means you’re in basic training. You are learning to better your skills as a member of soldier. A Boot’s job is to provide their Leadback with ammo and back up.
TWO DIAMONDS – Leadback – the Leadback has completed basic training or is skilled enough to perform decent combat operations but still has much to learn. The Leadback is given a Boot that they take around with them during missions. The Boot is their back-up and hopefully the Boot will learn to better their skills from the Leadback.
THREE DIAMONDS – Tri-Guard – the Tri-Guard is one who has mastered their skills and commands the Leadbacks and the Boots. They can only advance in rank if they beat a Quad or if the Prime promotes them.
FOUR DIAMONDS – Quad – the Quad is someone who used to be a Tri-Guard and has achieved their rank by defeating a Quad in promotion battle or if the Prime promotes them. Quads are the only ones that can challenge a Prime for leadership.
FIVE DIAMONDS – Prime – the Prime is the Head of SOLDIER. The Prime can only be challenged by a Quad and must always accept challenges, although, the Prime is allowed to say when the match will take place.

Doctor - This is a home occupation. Home, meaning they remain within Bellus and never touch the battlefield. SOLDIER won't allow it. The doctors tend to the wounded brought back to the base. (We have 1 doctor)
Intelligence - Intelligence is responsible for designing weapons, armors, and transportation for SOLDIER. Because most of Intelligence used to work for the Turpus military, they are responsible for informing SOLDIER where the super soldiers, Colossus, and other monsters NOAH decides to throw at Bellus, weaknesses are. (We have 1 intelligence)
Excursionist - They are responsible for discovering food, water, animals, anything odd or interesting out there in the endless wasteland. If they find something, SOLDIER will be prompt, and they can either bring it back or SOLDIER will go see what it is and make sure it’s safe. (We have 3 excursionists)
Sniper - They are known for long-range deadly assault. They strategically place themselves about the battlefield and remain unknown to the enemy. (Minimum of 3—number will increase depending on how many people join the RP)-(All three of the sniper slots are full. Need medics, infantry, and demolition.)
Infantry - They are known for front-line assault. (We have 3 infantry)
Demolition – They are responsible for all explosive assault. (We have 1 demolition)
Medic – They give immediate medical aid to soldiers wounded on the battlefield. (We have 1 medic)

THE WASTELAND
This is the second chapter of the role play. This is where the mutation happens and the hard, hot, and danger-filled search for Bellus occurs. Of course, in the role play, the group has no idea that Bellus is what they are going to find.
The Beginning
The chapter begins with the resistance having just broke out of the city. Well, what is left of the resistance. They will learn about the dangers of the wasteland from wild animals to climate, and they will also discover old ruins of the world before the nuclear war.
You will not have ranks yet. Ranks will be given when we reach Bellus (but I will give you the signature ranks OOC, so you will have them and know your rank ahead of time). As for now, this chapter is based about a desert adventure and survival.
Noah doesn't have super soldiers at this moment. What mutates the team is when fleeing the enemy, they pass into a radiation crater unknowingly but that massive crater saves them from pursuit if not destroy them in the mutation process.
In the first encounter with Noah, they'll see our characters' powers and then they'll start making super soldiers.
All characters late to the roleplay (if you missed out on the break out) will have to start off coming from the desert.

THE SUMMARY
This is for those who got all excited about the RP and didn’t read a damn thing I said, and are more than likely going to spam my PM with obnoxious questions that have already been answered in the role play. I will walk you through this again.

3. I will be monitoring Special Powers. Do not PM me and ask me if it is all right to have this power or not. Just make your character, and if there is a problem, then you will hear from me.

However, if he or she was a respectable soldier in the SOLDIER military, we will have an IC funeral of honor for him or her. So don’t die too much. 5. Added: I am the Prime. No, there will be no challenging me to battle unless you think you could RP this story out better, which I doubt. So if you’re a Quad, then you will more than likely be helping me with the regulation of the storyline.
6. When your character undergoes a mutation, he or she no longer has to look human. They can look like whatever you want.

8. Added: I will be announcing when the enemy will be attacking Bellus. I will set the enemy on the game board, and after that, you're welcome to try and take them out. The only major enemy I will be controlling is the Colossus, and if Noah decides to send out another monstrosity.

It is once in awhile that Noah will send out the Colossus, a giant tank with an arsenal created for dealing with the gifted citizens of Bellus. A new weapon is created everyday to deal with SOLDIER. How long will this storming last?
SOLDIER
SOLDIER is the militia of Bellus—the standing force that protects the city from Turpis and all other threats. The organization is run by the gifted as they go about monitoring the city’s conditions. SOLDIER is responsible for making sure all identification chips are out of every refugee that arrives at Bellus. If a chip is to be left within the body of a fugitive and Turpis finds out that that person has escaped, the chip will instantly kill them.
SOLDIER is also an underground group of specialists. They have a ranking system from rookie to officer. Members get promoted if their skills improve and they can also be promoted if they defeat a higher rank in combat. Rank is based on role play and combat skill. Use this role play to improve your writing ability if you ever want to get promoted. This is the SOLDIER ranking system:
ONE DIAMOND – Boot – if you’re a Boot, then that means you’re in basic training. You are learning to better your skills as a member of soldier. A Boot’s job is to provide their Leadback with ammo and back up.
TWO DIAMONDS – Leadback – the Leadback has completed basic training or is skilled enough to perform decent combat operations but still has much to learn. The Leadback is given a Boot that they take around with them during missions. The Boot is their back-up and hopefully the Boot will learn to better their skills from the Leadback.
THREE DIAMONDS – Tri-Guard – the Tri-Guard is one who has mastered their skills and commands the Leadbacks and the Boots. They can only advance in rank if they beat a Quad or if the Prime promotes them.
FOUR DIAMONDS – Quad – the Quad is someone who used to be a Tri-Guard and has achieved their rank by defeating a Quad in promotion battle or if the Prime promotes them. Quads are the only ones that can challenge a Prime for leadership.
FIVE DIAMONDS – Prime – the Prime is the Head of SOLDIER. The Prime can only be challenged by a Quad and must always accept challenges, although, the Prime is allowed to say when the match will take place.
Additional Information – In order for you to receive rank, I will need all of those interested in this RP and who will be having their character join SOLDIER as in the organization to PM me with a link to any RP that you have been in where you think you wrote your best. Send me what you think was the best of your writing ability, and I will give you the code to your signature rank. You will place this code in your signature and you will wear that rank for as long as you are in the SOLDIER RP until promoted or otherwise.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Doctor - This is a home occupation. Home, meaning they remain within Bellus and never touch the battlefield. SOLDIER won't allow it. The doctors tend to the wounded brought back to the base. (We have 1 doctor)
Intelligence - Intelligence is responsible for designing weapons, armors, and transportation for SOLDIER. Because most of Intelligence used to work for the Turpus military, they are responsible for informing SOLDIER where the super soldiers, Colossus, and other monsters NOAH decides to throw at Bellus, weaknesses are. (We have 1 intelligence)
Excursionist - They are responsible for discovering food, water, animals, anything odd or interesting out there in the endless wasteland. If they find something, SOLDIER will be prompt, and they can either bring it back or SOLDIER will go see what it is and make sure it’s safe. (We have 3 excursionists)
Sniper - They are known for long-range deadly assault. They strategically place themselves about the battlefield and remain unknown to the enemy. (Minimum of 3—number will increase depending on how many people join the RP)-(All three of the sniper slots are full. Need medics, infantry, and demolition.)
Infantry - They are known for front-line assault. (We have 3 infantry)
Demolition – They are responsible for all explosive assault. (We have 1 demolition)
Medic – They give immediate medical aid to soldiers wounded on the battlefield. (We have 1 medic)
Additional Information: You MUST choose SOLDIER or NONSOLDIER in order to be in this role play. You MUST choose the jobs I have provided for selection. There are no other occupations. None.

THE WASTELAND
This is the second chapter of the role play. This is where the mutation happens and the hard, hot, and danger-filled search for Bellus occurs. Of course, in the role play, the group has no idea that Bellus is what they are going to find.
The Beginning
The chapter begins with the resistance having just broke out of the city. Well, what is left of the resistance. They will learn about the dangers of the wasteland from wild animals to climate, and they will also discover old ruins of the world before the nuclear war.
You will not have ranks yet. Ranks will be given when we reach Bellus (but I will give you the signature ranks OOC, so you will have them and know your rank ahead of time). As for now, this chapter is based about a desert adventure and survival.
Noah doesn't have super soldiers at this moment. What mutates the team is when fleeing the enemy, they pass into a radiation crater unknowingly but that massive crater saves them from pursuit if not destroy them in the mutation process.
In the first encounter with Noah, they'll see our characters' powers and then they'll start making super soldiers.
All characters late to the roleplay (if you missed out on the break out) will have to start off coming from the desert.

THE SUMMARY
This is for those who got all excited about the RP and didn’t read a damn thing I said, and are more than likely going to spam my PM with obnoxious questions that have already been answered in the role play. I will walk you through this again.

3. I will be monitoring Special Powers. Do not PM me and ask me if it is all right to have this power or not. Just make your character, and if there is a problem, then you will hear from me.
4. Added: If your character happens to die in this RP, you’re welcome to just make another one. You can even use death as an excuse to make another one. However, if he or she was a respectable soldier in the SOLDIER military, we will have an IC funeral of honor for him or her. So don’t die too much. I’m sure everyone will get sick of having funeral ceremonies.
5. Added: I am the Prime. No, there will be no challenging me to battle unless you think you could RP this story out better, which I doubt. So if you’re a Quad, then you will more than likely be helping me with the regulation of the storyline.
6. When your character undergoes a mutation, he or she no longer has to look human. They can look like whatever you want.
7. Added: There will be no OOC bubbles in the IC roleplay. That is what this OOC thread is for. If you have anything to say, keep it in the OOC thread or in PM. Again, no OOC bubbles. I don’t care if you screwed up or had to edit something. No OOC bubbles.
8. Added: I will be announcing when the enemy will be attacking Bellus. I will set the enemy on the game board, and after that, you're welcome to try and take them out. I will be setting strategies, so if the enemy doesn't go down like you might have hoped, it means you need to figure out the weakness in the enemy's defense. The only major enemy I will be controlling is the Colossus, and if Noah decides to send out another monstrosity.
