Noelle had one of those almost-real dreams. She was up on the roof of Dante's house again but she wasn't standing at the edge this time, she was facing the chimney about 10 feet away from it. Her mother was there. She didn't look dead, or like a ghost or anything.. she looked 100% real.. and she was reaching towards the loose bricks in the chimney, pulling them out one by one. Sure enough when they were all pulled away the worn-leather diary fell out and she caught it quickly. Noelle watched with wide eyes as her mother skimmed through the book, smiling and crying, and then she quickly placed a slip of paper in the front cover. Noelle woke up from the dream in somewhat of a sweat. She had a bad headache and was really tired but nothing else seemed to be wrong. The room was pitch black so she assumed it was nighttime and that Dante was probably asleep right now. Looking to her side, Noelle found her kitten Kalista fast asleep on one of her pillows.
