Sound off your Guns!

Here's a little role play idea that's been swimming in my mind, I'm just hoping somebody will be interested.

I'm gonna need another Girl to play this story off well, that can play a strong well rounded character.

Plot-The main plot is there a Infamous Renegade named Big Jack Thompson, who has been captured by a famed female Bounty hunter named Jessie Clay. The reason Jessie has done so well, is that Jack has quoted never to aim for a woman, been know to be a dignity killer. Taking only men that have captured him, all dieing in the process of collecting his bounty. But now it seems that Jessie has gotten the better of him.

The two now ride Westward from Nashville Tennessee to Sacramento California on a good old Train heading West. The only problem, Jessie isn't the only one that wants Big Jack's Bounty. There are others that want the $5,000,000 bounty, and it's only a ,million off if you bring him dead.

Characters-

Jack- Known to have been a young genius, he never used it for good use always stealing and getting out of trouble. Always known as the Good Old Rebel. He does have a softer side, but always thought to have been on the bad side of the law and loving to live on the extremes of life.

Living on such extremes, Jack has collected a lot of names for himself, though Big Jack and The Son of the Devil. He uses a pair of revolvers, but resorts to a black rifle he calls Thunderbolt, when he is in a tight pinch.

Jack's only goal is to make that big score, knocking out Washington's Federal Bank.

Jessie- A good old Girl, who is now a young widow after losing his husband, Henry Clay, to a gang of bandits. Now she looks for justice, and doing it her own way. Working under a corporation named, "Agency." which hires all bounty hunters across the world.

Even though she is a bounty hunter, she has been called the Heart Angel. Being able to capture her prey with her looks and grace. Though she his very handy with a pistol, she calls the Diamond Shot.

Jessie has a dream, or as many say, a "fantasy." of become the top of the "Agency" as their head bounty hunter, even before she was married and settled down.

Jack and Jessie- Though the two are hard on each other during their travels, the two seem to bond very well, regardless of who is capturing who.

Thought they will learn that they have know each other before, a long time ago.

Other Characters- There can be several other characters, these two were just the ones I was thinking of first.

Powers- Ok, this is a twist but I though mere bullets wouldn't have that great of an effect. So, ever player that chooses so, can have a gun that shoots a specialized bullet. Jack's special bullets are lighting, but he only uses them on very rare occasions. Or can have another spirit or mind that can only talk to its user.

Era- This is good old Steam-punk Cowboy stuff, thought there are some advancements in certain areas. Tanks and motor cars have been made. As well there are such things as Mobile Phones, but they are aobut the size of throwing stone and weigh about as much. They are power by kentic electricity. Most of the vehicles are powered by steam still. However just in preference of the times, This is about 20 years after the American Civil war, and Arthur is in Office. The year is 1884.

Gun and/or weapon if any- Two silver revolvers, and one black Springfield rifle he calls Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt as well as a Thunderbolt on the Butt of the gun.

Wow, this sounds like a fantastic RP. I really like the 'cowboy/wild west' theme, and have for a while. I am very interested but not sure that I can live up to the standards. I would love to have a go at portraying Jessie, though I will see if there are any other, more qualified takers. Or just perhaps I will wait until there are more people interested. Feel free to accept/decline my proposition. I am just as willing to play a bit part or other character as well. Thanks for the creative idea, and any consideration!

This sounds like an awesome rp. I've got to go to bed now, but I'll try to get a character up tomorrow.

Name- Unknown, though goes by Midnight Rider.

Age- Twenty seven

Race- Native American

Hair color and style- Long silken black hair that reaches the middle of her back, though usually tied back in a low ponytail to keep it out of her face.

Appearance and dress- Dressed in tanned leathers though painted black for optimum concealment in which she only comes forth in the night, also tends to paint her face black as well. Her deep brown eyes hold something unknown to the realm of modern society.

Job- She claims her job is being The Seeker, (reference backstory for indepth analysis.) Which she is searching for the choosen one, which in this case happens to be a Bounty Hunter, or so the Shaman has told her.

Gun and/or weapon if any- A black lever-action repeating Winchester rifle and two Colt .45 peacemakers, black as well.

Weapon Element, or Quality- Toxins in the bullet has the side-effect of temporary blindness when it enters the bloodstream, only takes one minute to go into effect and lasts up to five minutes per round. Of course if you survive more than five shots in a short time period you will become permanently blinded.

Backstory- (None of this is publicly known.) Born from a Shaman in a unknown Indian tribe, though their name translated into English was Night Stalkers, were never seen due to their isolation and reclusive nature. Hunting by night and worshiping the spirit wolves, the other Indians tended to avoid the abnormal tribe and also feared them, they say their blood is tainted by the dark wolves instead of the spirit wolves, blinded by false lies of the demon spirits. Being the daughter of a shaman, she must seek out the true spirit wolf, thus named the Seeker by the Native Americans. Now that the pale skinned ones have intruded on their lands, the spirit wolf could be trapped in one of their bodies as well, making her task all the more difficult. Now traveling alone aside from her black mare, she searches endlessly for the one, killing off anyone she sees that is not the spirit wolf.

Name- Jessie Clay, at times called the 'Heart Angel' by others

Age- 23

Race- Caucasian

Hair color and style- She has long, honey blonde hair though its length is hidden in a low bun at the nape of her neck. When let down it reaches in long, wavy tresses to the small of her back.

Appearance and dress- Jessie stands as relatively tall for her gender at 5'7". She is slender, but muscularly built due to the physical nature of her job. She wears variations of white long sleeved shirts and blouses, all of which reach her neck. Despite her beauty, she is modest and refuses to let being a female prevent her from doing the job. She wears bleached denim jeans, or pale white washed jeans. A gleaming white, cow hide belt is always fastened around her waist with a gleaming star shaped belt buckle. She has striking blue eyes which are flecked with green. Her skin, after days and hours under the sun, is deeply tanned and freckled. She is beautiful, but has a tough, hardened expression fixed on her face except for to those who know her. She wears white cowboy boots with a detailed embossing of stars along the outer sides.

Job- Bounty Hunter, employeed by 'Agency'

Gun and/or weapon if any- Jessie always carries her prized pistol, 'Diamond Shot" in a concealed holster above her right boot. On a pouch hanging off the left side of her belt she carries a daggar. On the right side of her belt in a holster she carries a small revolver.

Weapon Element, or Quality- 'Diamond Shot', while capable of shooting off regular ammunition, also holds a round of silver coated bullets which act as an anesthetic. These bullets cause lack of feeling or awareness, and upon multiple bullets can temporarily put an individual to sleep. These 'sleep spells' last for up to twenty minutes. Whenever possible Jessie uses these bullets, so as not to injure those she is shooting.

Backstory- (Jessie's background has already been explained.)

Name- Avery Franklin McCree; called Ivory for his pale skin and the ivory-handled handcannons he possesses.

Age- 25

Race- White

Hair color and style- Ivory’s black hair is normally slicked back upon his head, keeping it immaculately groomed unless circumstances are dire and he has no time to fiddle with it. Simple, stylish, and easy to maintain…that’s how Ivory likes things to be.

Appearance and dress- Ivory dresses oddly when considering how most dress. Most people wear their Sunday best only once, yet Ivory always seems to be in his best suit, boots always polished to ensure they are clean. His most common suit is black as night with a white shirt beneath, a small tie, as well. He has, however, worn a completely white suit with a black shirt beneath, though no matter the suit, his black boots never change. His pale skin is decidedly flawless in appearance, though so pale he seems sickly, especially in relation to the “cough” he has. Atop his suit he wears what he has the most pride in…a fur coat that he is unsure of what animal it came from, normally kept merely laying atop his shoulders instead of worn normally. He has a bit of facial hair, a small, immaculately groomed goatee with a handlebar mustache that he may or may not shave depending on the situation. Ivory has one thing that he always wears, no matter what…and no one ever touches it. The last man to touch the little heart-shaped locket around his neck lost every finger on that hand and then some.

Job- Bounty hunter/poker player

Gun and/or weapon if any- Aside from the twin handcannons with ivory handles he is so well known for, Ivory carries a stolen cavalry sabre. When called upon for longer ranges, he carries a golden-plated lever action rifle; when called upon for more damage, however, he keeps a sawn-off double-barrelled shotgun won off of the last poor sap to try and take him in poker, just like the rifle was. Because of his notorious skill in poker, he has had crafted with his winnings a deck of cards made of steel and sharpened so that he can use them if needed, using their carrying case as a belt buckle.

Weapon Element, or Quality- Ivory doesn’t have a quality to his weapons that makes him unique…what makes him unique is the fact that the spirit of his deceased little sister Iris has latched itself onto his psyche. Only he can see the nearly transparent little girl in her white dress, her blonde curls bouncing off her shoulders as she flounces around him. Her blue eyes stand out in comparison to his own brown eyes, yet only he can still see the eight-year-old. She can wander off and tell him things she’s seen, most often helping him cheat in poker games…it’s why he has a four hundred and fifty game winning streak under his belt and a vast fortune already accrued.

Backstory- Ivory started out as a good child, honestly. No one would have ever expected the courteous young man to become a cold-hearted, cheating killer who hunted people for a living when he was still a teen. Avery McCree was a loving big brother to his little sister Iris, even if they differed greatly in appearance, the young man dark-haired and eyed and the child having fair hair and light eyes. She was his little angel, taking care of her more than their sick mother and their father who took care of their sick mother. They were coming home from church on Sunday one day, Ivory in his Sunday best and Iris wearing her little white dress, bare footed, as they hadn’t yet gotten enough money for shoes for her, when it happened.

The bandits were the most notorious pair in the territory they lived in, especially so since the elder Judson boy carried custom-made ivory-handled revolvers. They came out of the bank whooping and hollering just like people had said, though Ivory never knew they were there until it was too late…the fear of the Judson family kept most bankers from resisting…most families, as well, letting them take what they liked without death. Iris didn’t know of the Judson boys, however, and when the oldest Judson spotted her golden locket, a gift from young Avery, he wanted it. When the poor little girl resisted, the cold-hearted bastard shot her with one of those cannons he carried. The thunder had shaken Avery, who’d been inside getting them both something to drink while Iris had wanted to look at the horses outside.

The glass bottles he’d held had shattered on the floor, the boy’s pale face almost transparent as he’d come running out to find his sister bleeding in the street, her locket missing. He’d seen the face of her killer…Elias Judson would die, he told himself, but he’d needed to get his sister help. He’d kissed her forehead to try and calm the crying girl, who was already complaining of being cold, shaking as she bled from the hole in her chest, his own cheeks streaked with tears as he scooped her up. He’d taken off at a run towards the doctor’s house, yet it would do little good. Two minutes after being shot, Iris McCree died in her brother’s arms, her small body limp by the time he’d reached the doctor three minutes afterwards.

He’d cried for a good time…she was his little sister and he’d loved her dearly, digging her grave himself, for he would let no one else touch her aside from the doctor and their parents. With blistered and bleeding hands and a resolve for murder, he’d crawled out of her grave and placed her small body in its pine box at the bottom with his father’s help, the two men looking at each other for a moment. His father read what he had in mind in his eyes, his head bowing, yet a nod of approval being given to his son. Only a single sentence was uttered between the two, from father to son…”Be careful.” Avery had taken his father’s rifle as he’d left the man to fill in the grave, tears still streaking both of their cheeks. He’d asked for and borrowed the doctor’s old revolver and a gunslinger’s belt with enough ammunition to take on a small army, yet none of them would ever know he’d only need one bullet until it was all over.

Her last words…”I love you, Avery”…still ringing in his ears, Avery made his way to the little town in the next county where he’d tracked the Judson boys. He’d found the younger Judson boy easy enough…the little bastard was dead already, seemingly shot in a dispute with his drunken brother, lying on his back in the empty trough that normally watered horses. The young boy had by then wiped his cheeks, though his eyes were still red, hardened and ready for what was to come. The elder Judson had been propped on the bar, drinking to his heart’s content with the money they’d bought, the locket around his neck. When challenged to a poker match by the youngster, he gladly accepted, thinking him to be a pushover, yet he found himself in over his head in his drunken stupor. When all was said and done, Elias Judson sat naked save for his dingy underwear, his belt, clothes, and pistols on the table along with his money and the locket that was so precious to Avery.

“You killed my sister.”

Those four words had brought recognition to the drunken man’s eyes, for he had thought the boy looked familiar, the dingy Sunday clothes on his body the punctuation point for it all. Before he could even sit forward to go for his pistols, Avery had drawn that old and massive revolver from the doctor, aimed, and fired one shot. The bullet tore away the upper left portion of the elder Judson’s head, his eye gone, left a corpse far quicker than his sister had been. He’d turned to the barman, getting him to carry the body to the bounty office for him…he’d had to pack up his winnings, strapping on the ivory pistols. From there, getting that bounty…he never turned back. Taking the locket and wearing it, he took the small fortune won from Elias Judson and bought himself a wardrobe of only the best clothes, not realizing until days later that he had his sister’s spirit following him…when he’d first seen her, he’d thought he was drunk. He wasn’t, however, and she’s been at his side since, helping him when she can, for she was his favorite. She attached herself to him in gratitude for avenging her, her bounty hunter brother now out for blood…not only that of the Judsons, who he’d taken out of this world, but all wanted men. Now he hunts only the most wanted marks, for they gave him the most wealth, though if he runs upon a small bounty in his searches…they all die.

I can do that for you. I was just taking it on good faith that it wouldn't be assumed that he actually carries those on his person all the time. The only sure things on his person at one time are his steel playing cards, his ivory handcannons, and the locket around his neck. Everything else is usually locked up in his chest, buried beneath his clothes. The rifle hardly ever sees use, as he values it more as a showpiece for its golden plating and the shotgun hardly ever sees use because he says its too messy. Only in dire straits would he pull those out...but they can drop if you don't like it.

http://www.pinkpoodleclothing.com/galle ... frontl.jpg

Job- Waitress at the bar.

Gun and/or weapon if any-

Weapon Element, or Quality-

Backstory- Jaqueline has lived in Ireland all her life until last month when she moved to this town. Her father left her mother and her, so now she stays with only her mother and baby sister. Her father was very abusive and would come home only to get what he wanted and leave. Her mother at first fought back, but ended up not even trying anymore. Once when Jackie couldn't handle it, she yelled at her father and tried to get him away from her mother. He became infuriated and attacked her, though not like he did with her mother. She had many bruises and cuts, and some scars still show on her. There is one running from her nose diagonally down to the left side of her cheek. She is sometimes shy, though tomboyish. She has one brother, though he doesn't live with her. He hasn't been around for awhile, though he plans on visiting soon. (( If anyone wants to be her brother, feel free. )) Jackie moved to America only a month ago, but she still misses Ireland. They moved because of all the stories of how great and open the land was, and of course for the freedom.

I need the back story, and race.

Race is important during this era. The Attempt to control the West was the main conflict and White against Native Americas is a big issue for the time. Also Civil Rights for African Americans were very poor. Having just recently been freed from slavery, African American had to struggle to survive and get a decent job, and acceptance in a White American world. European Immigrants were also being persecute, for being accused of bringing crime and poverty into America.

Name- Harvey Shaw
Age- 26
Race- Caucasian
Hair color and style- short crew cut brown hair.
Appearance and dress- Harvey weighs an athletic 170 pounds for his modest 5'10". Harvey wears a simple brown duster that he normally leaves open exposing a white button up shirt. His pants are kept up with a leather belt. Around his waist is a simple holster belt lined with individual bullet loops that he keeps empty. To polish off the enitre ensamble is a simple pair of civil war surplus boots.
Job- Bounty Hunter
Gun and/or weapon if any- Colt single action six shooter.
Weapon Element, or Quality- Fragmenting rounds. When Harvey's special rounds impact a soft target they split into hundreds of tiny pieces each shattering through the body.
Backstory- Harvey's father died in the war. He barely knew the man. His uncle and mother raised him up on the family ranch. At 15 a thunder storm started a fire in the barn. They lost everything. So in an attempt to raise money for the family Harvey signed up with an Agency team. At 21 Harvey started working alone outside the Agency. He's had his run-ins with just about every bounty hunter out there including Jessie.
