Star Wars: Reign of the Sith ((OOC/Sign-Ups))

Topic Tags:

Forum for completely Out of Character (OOC) discussion, based around whatever is happening In Character (IC). Discuss plans, storylines, and events; Recruit for your roleplaying game, or find a GM for your playergroup.
Looks good to me. Accepted.

(Gotta admit it feels kind of strange saying that on someone else's thread, but Luke must trust our judgement so... *shrugs*)

In the post I am making right now, Faith will use Chain Lightning, while most Force Users consider this to be a Dark Side power, The Order of Revan does not see any Force Power as having an inherently Dark or Light Side but how one chooses to use the power is either inherently Dark or Light. Thus if one decides to kill a civilian with Force Lightning just to see the man die that is inherently Dark Side, if one decides to use Force Lightning to defend a civilian that is inherently Light Side.

Also I would like edit Faith's character sheet in the Lightsaber Form section:
*Since she uses two Lightsabers she would be a practitioner of Jar'Kai a subform of Form VI: Niman
*Since her Lightsabers are capable of linking together she would also be a practitioner of Double-bladed lightsaber combat as well
*Tràkata, turning the blade on and off during lightsaber combat or to aid in the use of force powers
*While not a form, Sokan is a principle of using the environment to your advantage (see Star Wars Episode 3 when Obi Wan defeated Vader on Mustafar by taking the high ground)

I haven't had her used the last three in the RP yet but I do plan to. I just want to make sure it is reflected in my character sheet.

I'm trying to decide where to place Niko for his first post. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to say, but I think I am going to resign from this RP. Please do not take this as an offense, your RP luke has a very solid foundation and i do plan to follow it, but only as a spectator. Thank you for giving me a chance to particapate, and i'm sorry it didn't work out. I will edit all of my in-game post so they say nothing, sorry if there is any confusion afterwards.

Good luck all.

Question: Where are the FFAS retreating to? Wherever that it, Niko will be there, but I need the name of a system.

I don't know. Should we be cheesey and go back to Hoth? :P

It doesn't matter to me. I rather like Hoth myself.

I like Hoth too.

About updating the Lightsaber frorms my character knows is it okay?

Also could my current posts be set a couple of months in the past which will lead up to her meeting the rest of you guys in the present? Depending on your answer depends on who may die next post beyond you know the evil bad guys bent on maintaining their dominion over the Known Regions.

Virginian, I say the forms are alright.

And, as for your second question, I think it's really up to you. Whichever is better for you.

Mozen, I didn't think the Hoth system was that far away from the Mustafar system. Like, maybe an hour away. I'll change it. Besides, hyperdrive tech would have improved at least a little bit in the last 100 years. :P I'll edit to say an hour.

Thanks Keadai.

Mozenrath your character N sees the feud between the Jedi & Sith as senseless, so does my character. How far is N willing to go to stop it?

It doesn't really matter to me about the times. I used to have a map of the SW galaxy showing where all the planets were. Wish I still had it so we could more accurately estimate the length of our hyperspace jumps.

N? N doesn't give a flying flip about the Jedi/Sith feud. But if you're referring to Niko, then yes, he does wish the Jedi and Sith would stop fighting and compromise somehow, but he also knows that an idea like that could never come true. He's a lot like Luke in his "idealistic" beliefs. How far is he willing to go? Anywhere but the Dark Side, I would guess, since he almost went there once beore and has since learned his lesson.

I got it mixed up, I meant Niko.

If Niko were allying with Faith he could end the Jedi/Sith feud. No Sith, no feud, the hows and means of maintaining absolutely no Sith would require extreme measures & near dictatorial rule.

Well, Niko actually questions how the Sith still exist. In his mind, wasn't the act of Vader/Anakin killing Sidious fulfillment of the prophecy that tells of the Sith's end? If not, then, who is the real Chosen One?

Niko wouldn't condone dictatorship. But, it would likely turn into a story similar to Legacy of the Force. Luke knew the Galactic Alliance was borderlining imperial rule, but served them anyway in the hopes of restoring democracy to its rightful place. Hmm, come to think of it, the old Jedi Order was in the same situation during the Clone Wars weren't they? Guess history really does repeat itself.

The Choosen One only brings balance, they assumed balance meant no more Dark Siders.

You can't have good without evil. And plenty of Dark Siders have existed in the books post movie. One of the Solo/Organa kids turned to the Dark Side.

Apparently Niko doesn't know history.

Ok guys, I'm back from my trip!! I'll be posting for a good part of today, hopefully, but I'm going to be leaving for a while tonight and tomorrow is Christmas, so I'm not sure about that one.

I've read through the OOC and you two seem to have done a pretty good job.

Hoth is a good choice, it isn't far from Mustafar and I completely support the idea to move there. Not sure if you already have (haven't read through the IC yet) but good idea nontheless.

And I've lazily decided that Mon Calamari (surprise surprise) will be the capital planet of the FFAS.

And for anyone who is interested, I have a map of the Galaxy saved onto my computer. It may be missing a couple planets (I couldn't find Mustafaar) but it is pretty complete. Planets, sectors, trade routes. All the good stuff.
Everything changes...

I think Mustafaar is relatively close to Hoth. The map I used to have showed me just how near or far the planets were from one another. I think it only took "days" to get there because the former rebel base on Yavin 4 was REALLY far way, but Mustafaar was much closer if I remember correctly.

And thanks Luke, I was hoping we were doing a good job.

I think it would make sense if the FFAS used former Rebel bases for its operations don't you think? All they would need to do is restore what's already there and they would be in business. So I'm thinking bases on Mon Cal, Hoth, Yavin 4, where else did the rebels operate? Dantooine was one, too, I think. Any others?

If Mon Calamari is our main base, then I assume that would mean they use Mon Cal Cruisers for the most part? And likely have a lot of Mon Cal commanders on those Cruisers?

Oh and Virg, quite on the contrary, Niko knows history very well. It was that same history that made him question the legitimacy of the original Chosen One in the first place. Duh. And by your logic there should be a Chosen One for each generation to restore balance, shouldn't there? Another question Niko ponders.
