Alright, there has been a bit more activity since I last looked, so I'll flesh out my idea a bit more. First though, it looks like most of us here want more of the Fantasy lean to the RP, and that's fine with me. Also, before I begin, I'll answer some questions that have come up:
1. No, there really aren't any corporations whatsoever, evil or good. But there are clockwork pistols...and magic ones too.
2. There are Druids, so animal control would be allowed somewhat. Somewhat.
Alright, so now then, on to some back story:
Our RP takes place in a land known as the Iron Kingdoms. Within the IK, you'll find a potent blend of steam power, gunpowder, swords and sorcery. Don't like guns in your Fantasy? Give the IK a chance; the IK may have pistols and steam engines, but it hasn't forgotten its fantasy roots, I don't even like to call it "steampunk," instead I call it "Full Metal Fantasy". In the lands of the Iron Kingdoms, you'll still find elves, dwarves and other old friends, though they all have a unique spin - to put it lightly. You'll also find the mighty Steamjacks -- each an amazing fusion of the engineer's and wizard's craft.
Strictly speaking, the term "Iron Kingdoms" refers to the lands of men; those kingdoms which signed the Corvis Treaties after the rebellion against the Ogth. There are four official kingdoms in total: Cygnar, Khador, Llael, Ord. In the frigid north, near the Glass Peaks, the dwarven kingdom of Rhul is found. To the northeast lies the mysterious homeland of the elves, Ios. In practice, the nearby elven and dwarven nations are often included when men speak of the "Iron Kingdoms."
Alright, hopefully that makes everybody happy and whets some appetites. Let me know what you all think and I'll put up a formal OOC when I can. Oh, and we will be centered around the Kingdom of Cygnar, something I'll flesh out when next we speak. And maybe a bit about Steamjacks too...
Cheers,
TheWalrus
