Verity had been so caught up in her dancing that she hadn't realized she had danced all the way over to the pool. And only when she was splashed with water, did she realize what had been done to her.
Stopping suddenly, a look of pure surprise on her face, she faced towards whoever had splashed her. It was a male, and he had made it to the other side of the pool.
Looking down at her now partially soaked body, she let out a squeal, realizing what she was wearing: a white dress, which was now clinging to her form. She quickly covered herself up as best as she could, a nice crimson blush appearing on her cheeks. It had been a long while for her since she had ever gotten "wet TShirt-ed", and she was embarrassed about it.
Flustered, she waited for a moment before running off in the direction of her room. She could not be seen like this; she'd be the laughing stock of the ship.
Meanwhile, Hiro had been watching his childhood friend dance, and when she had been splashed with water, he couldn't help but laugh. She had looked so startled; he wished he'd had a camera to capture the moment.
But she ran then, and he stood to follow her, a slightly worried expression on his face. Usually, she'd just laugh it off, but... maybe it had been because of the dancing? He wasn't sure... She was just so into dancing, that he assumed that pulling her from it so quickly had upset her.
Following after her, he made it to her room, which she was just entering. "Verity..." he began, and she gave him a look that told him not to talk. He obeyed, and they both entered her room, where she immediately began changing into a different dress. Hiro averted his eyes, as to provide her with some form of privacy.
"You can look now..." she said after a bit. Hiro looked over at her. She had changed into a sleeveless dress of a gray color. It was simple...
Walking to sit on her bed, Hiro spoke. "Verity... whats up? You don't normally react like that when someone jokes around with you..."
Verity gave him a look, but answered anyway. "Its because I was dancing... You don't interrupt me when I"m dancing, and you know that." Hiro nodded, and then spoke.
"Yes, I know that... but does anyone else here? No. Why? Because they don't know you..." She looked a bit embarrassed now that someone had pointed this out.
"Oh..." was all she said.
"Go out there, and introduce yourself to the others, okay?" he began again, his voice quieter this time. "You'll make friends in no time..."
"But what about you?"
"I'm just going to hang around in the shadows, for now..."
And so they left her room, and began the short walk back to the pool deck.
"He’s like fire and ice and rage.
He’s like the night,
and the storm at the heart of the sun...
He’s ancient and forever.
He burns at the center of time
And he can see the turn of the universe.
...And he’s wonderful.”Wanna be fashionable like Gorie? Visit the RPG Cafepress Store and score some awesome threads! <3
