She leaned up against the wall, gasping for breath.
"Wha...What do you want from me?!"
The man had backed her into the alley.
Even in the dark of night, she could she a dark grin spread across the stranger's face.e yound
"Isn't it obvious?" He pulled a dagger out of his tattered coat pocket and charged.
The yound girl braced herself for the attack and closed her eyes.

She cautiously opened one of her eyes.
The man had frozen in place.
Behind him, a boy with white hair had pierced him through the back.
"What a cold world we live in..."
He sighed.
"Am I right, Minna?"
Minna could hardly utter a sound.
"How... Who... Why?"
"My apologies. My name is Kitai. Why? Because I was bored. How? Because I know how to fight. In this case, a sword."
He pulled the sword out of the man's back and kicked him over.
Minna cringed at the sight of the wound.
"H-How did you know my name?"
"When you're an orphan like you and I are, you know people."
Minna sat there staring at this stranger.
Kitai sheathed his weapon and turned.
"...Aren't you coming?"
Not knowing what to do, she got up from the rough tar and started to follow.
A group of people jumped down from the building as they were walking.
"HAULT! You killed Mondai, our leader!" said the tallest one, obviously in charge at the moment.
"Well, tell him to back off and leave innocent girls alone!!" yelled Kitai.
The one in charge grabbed him by the neck.
"You've got a big mouth, kid. You gotta learn to control that, or someone will do it for you..."
The grip around Kitai's throat tightened.
"You leave him alone! He saved m-"
One of the large members of the group shoved her into the wall of the building.
"Ghh.... Minna..."
"She bit the large one's arm and pushed through.
Kitai was suprised she got past him, and regained hope.
Being a male himself, he knew this one's weakness.
He kneed the one in charge where it hurts, grabbed Minna, and ran off.
"Thanks...." he said under his breath.
"No problem. Just think of it as repayment for saving my life.."

Name? Hmmm, I think I might be able to help you there...The theme seems to me as questions and repayment... hmmm...
Returned Questions? Unbelievable? Seeking an Answer? Giving the Answer? Exacting Revenge?
Those are some names I came up with based on what I read. It is a nice piece, I wish I could have written it

The thing is, I've got plenty of ideas. However... I'd love to see more of this. I do wonder where it is going.

'Orphan' could be one, as apparently they are both orphans.
'Savior', 'Save Me', and 'Surrounded' could be others, as Kitai saved her - and as for 'Surrounded'? If you write this where they are always chased, well, they have nowhere to run in the end.

'Sword of ____' could be another, if you fill in the blank. I get the feeling Kitai is not at all what he says. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Sword of Justice, of Mercy, of Salvation.

Any one you choose, I'd be glad to read more.
