The good stuff is in the more recent posts. This is vital to your viewing experience, lest you barf at all the fail.

Mind the title. I heart The Life Aquatic.

So, likesay, the art department kids are supposed to keep up with a journal throughout the year, so I thought I'd share some halfway decent pages here before growing the balls to start a thread at ConceptArt.org.

I'm now doing requests! Although I don't expect this to catch on, if you'd like anything drawn, I'd love to take a crack at it.

My name is Ros. I'm a chick of boyish charm, and I lurve Sharpies.

Summer work...

Image
Gazelle love power, pew pew! This so needs a rescan.

Image
Random-as-hell comic. I wish I could upload my more recent ones, but giant matte board is a bitch to upload.

Miscellaneous WIPs...

Image
Tibor and Gerdi, the hitman and the pornographer. I love World History. It's like a frickin' free period.

Image
Gunpei the Koi Warrior, named after Nintendo pioneer Gunpei Yokoi. Yokoi. GET IT?!

Image
Cowbob Beboy. Get eet, white boooooi.

Currently working on anatomy, composition, the like. More to come when my scanner stops sobbing.

More--because you asked for it! (Obviously!)

Enemy sketches for RumbleFisher, the greatest game that'll never be created. Here be a Rumble Rookie, also known as a Bondage Fish, and he's relatively harmless. Mostly gets around by walking like a Shy Guy or ramming into you.

Image

The Calderone Eel is more of a threat. It'll smile politely before charging with an electrical attack, rolling like a Sonic reject.

And here's a giant mutant snapping turtle....What? I like painting me comics.

Another day, another chance to procrastinate on my summer program app. Hooflippinrah, man.

I haven't been able to scan any current pages, but RumbleFisher is well under way (in a conceptual sense), so I thought I'd share more work, both related and misc.

Old sketch for Rumble. Yasuo and Gunpei stuck in another rut, oblivious and carefree as usual.
Image

I love Sonic as much as the next nerd, but recent efforts have been pretty ridonkulous.

WHAT A MARVELOUS MISADVENTURE.

Still no takers? Well, that's quite all right, because I'm a sad sucka who wants to show another sketch.

My character, Kumakichi, for the site's one and only Jet Set Radio roleplay. It's quick and sloppy, but, if you've followed this thread (haha, right), you should be accustomed to that by now. Join the RP. I dare you.

Wow. ... That's all I can say. I'd say you have some real talent, but that doesn't even begin to describe it. You sir are full of win. : D
And on the first day Man created God in his own image.

I love your style. It's so unique.

A little scary at some parts, but that's because I hate watching horror movies. Still, don't change anything.

By the way, nice picture of Kumakichi. I'm working on my character (Treble Clef) right now.

Moon: Nooo, you should see some of the seniors at school. They're both parts freakishly talented and intimidating, though inspiring all the same. I just hope I'm as good as them next year. xD But thank you so much!

Jaybt: Thank you as well! Haha, my art is a little scary. That's interesting. I like to be whimsical at times. You remember when kids' movies were genuinely terrifying and children ate that shit up? We don't get those movies as often! If a child is scared by, say, Where The Wild Things Are, then they'd be scared shitless by The Dark Crystal. And now I'm rambling.

I remember when 90s kids movies were quite popular when I was little, but then as I watch them today, I never realized how corny everything was. Like, for instance, 3 Ninjas.lol

But still, great artwork.

The Dark Crystal...

I used to love that movie. >_>
Then I watched it after not seeing it for a few years, and it creeped me the hell out. o_o

Another year, another jernul. I know you've all been clamoring for this (obviously), so here we go again.

Image
Actually doodled at the end of the year while waiting for my compy to load, this is what you call a Moog. He's only a Moog because he's special--not to say that the other turtles aren't as special, but...y'know.

Image
The first page of my Moleskine rip-off. It greets the viewer in Francaise. Why French? Just...because. And yes, the page did get cut off. :/

Image
...I don't know what the hell this is. Some hybrid parody like The Office or Yes, Minister, but I've really no idea. But hey, at least it's got FROGS.

I like the frog picture. The pose and its face is pretty funny.

Like, whoa. The updating rate here is more sporadic than my RP post schedule, amirite? Badumpsh.

Last month, I finally gained access to a pen tablet. Do you know what this means? That's right: Digital images of low quality. Aren't you ever so excited?

Image
Here be Skógursson. He is a Visitor in the upcoming roleplay by Marionette, At a Price, and for all that is good and awesome, you should join as soon as possible. The best way I can describe the premise is His Dark Materials meets Faust, but that would be hindering the originality of the ideas. So, pretty please, take a look! Shout out to Imehal for being so lovely.

Image
Ah, phallic imagery, you never let us down. Tibor and Gerdi, do come down from that rocket.

Image
Hey, I can paint digital backgrounds. Well, I can try at least. Here's Skogi passing time with one of the jotunn (giants), which coincidentally looks like... Necky from Donkey Kong Country. Hmm. Damn Rare for making pathetic bosses. I hope this one gets into the Print Show!

Image
My friend's original character Geoff, also known as Jiffy and the Fairy. This is more of a doodle than anything else. You can find her on deviantART as Synchroniz3D; she does some wicked psuedocelebrity animal work.

Image
Here's my Oser. He's a douche. He's only extra pouty because I've no idea how to color him, sob.

Right, so I've returned from a death in the world of the unliving. That's called a paradox. Oh, summer, you never let us down! You want sporadic? I'LL GIVE YOU SPORADIC.

Image
Dramatic sunset encounter with the Big Koi. Is great success.

Image
My robotic fox alter ego and myself, badly parodying an UDON (Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, et al) illustration of old anime hero Casshern.

Image
A WIP promo shot for RumbleFisher, a pseudo2D beat-'em-up that resides in my dreams. Helloooo, undefined light source.

Image
Yasuo, one half of the Rumble duo, smiles in his Yattaman get-up.

Image
What can I say? It's MEGAMAAAAAAN.

Image
Yet another Oser WIP. He's giving one of my school buds a piggy back ride to safety as he soars through the air in a bad SNES cover.

Image
Young Tibor and his turtle, Humphrey. Budapest was burning that night. (WIP)

Image
Messing around with pencil lines. Gerdi asks Tibor for his ice cream. It's not working out.

Image
A wee poster for Dr. Damnation, Superzorro's character in RPGateway's greatest superhero RP, Rise of Champions. Was channeling plasmids here.

Back from Minnysoter! I am now psuedopublished by the Minneapolis College of Art and Design--our final comics were printed in a limited anthology, three of which I was fortunate to keep. I'll try to see if I can scan in the...well, the scans. They all look fab. My work is also being displayed in the Jung Center of Houston through the end of August, so if you're a local and you're bored, clap your hands and drop right in.

Anywey, scanning sketches is time-consuming, so I'll just post this WIP. It's a conceptual piece for RumbleFisher inspired by master painter Hokusai's "The Great Wave." I got this odd idea of the player stumbling upon these trippy, magical fish and, upon eating them, being transformed into some sort of kickass seacreature.

Small update. =) My girlfriend requested a sketch of Yasuo dressed as an Engineer from Team Fortress 2, so here's the result:

Image

I quite like it. Yeah, I went overboard with the digital aspects, and the texture ended up altering some of the original colors, but that's what practice is for.

Oh my goodness Wife, your artwork...

So vibrant and full of life. I love the expressions and the sarcasm presented in some of the art. ^^ Mainly the colors though, and the dynamics of the pictures you've created. It's all so beautiful!
