Six people wake up in a house together, they dont know each other, they dont know where they are, and none of them have absolutely any idea how they all ended up here. From different walks of life, the only thing that links them is the slim metal band wrapped around each of their right ankles, a tiny triangle symbol stamped into the metal.

A quick search of the house brings up no clues to their situation. There's food in the cupboards, the water's running, electricities on. It seems like a normal, if deserted, house. Four bedrooms, a large living area, well stocked kitchen, the whole caboodle. It's surrounded by trees, a lake lapping gently at the beach that runs to the rear of the home. First guess is this is some kind of holiday home, the owners probably halfway across the country, busy living their lives with no idea what was going on here.

If anyone were to leave, walking through the trees, they'd start to get shocked. They start off light, a tiny static shock. The further they go from the house, the stronger the shocks get, until they're forced to turn back. It seems for the forseeable future, these six people are stuck in the house together, at least until they can work out who put them here, and why.

The House

Absolutely gorgeous holiday home. It has four bedrooms, all upstairs, two bathrooms, one upstairs and one down, a massive living area with a dining table at one end and a pair of settee's opposite a huge plasma screen tv at the other, a kitchen, a garage (that's empty,) and a utility room with all the white goods in it. I'm not going to be giving you any pictures, the players can describe the house as they see fit, as long as it agrees with what I've said so far.

The only things you arent allowed to add are things that would enable you to contact the outside world in any way, so phones, computers, fax machines, etc.

PM me a copy of your characters biography and a short history. I'll be looking for similarities I can use to drive the plot further, and this way you guys will only know as much about each other as you let on.


The Leg Band

Slim, solid metal, silver. The inside is cushioned, so it wont get uncomfortable wearing it for a long time, neither will it cut into your leg. Its about one centimeter wide, and featureless except for a tiny triangle design stamped into one side.



Direction & Events

I wont be playing any of the characters in this RP. Instead, I'll be playing a sort of Director. It's going to be my job to field any questions people have about their situation, and to keep the events of the house moving along.

I'm going to be doing this by posting events into the OOC. Events will come at random frequencies, and can affect one person, several people, or even the whole group. An example event is below.

EVENT : Your Head Fell Off

That's gonna make things difficult for you, isnt it!

Obviously in the RP itself its not going to be quite so silly. As the above event isnt directed at a specific character, any of the players could choose to use the event in their next post. Through these events, the players will have opportunities to find out more about their situation, getting them closer to escaping. Special circumstances will be described as and when they come up.

If anyone plans on doing anything that they dont know the outcome to, for example, their character trying to remove the band around their leg, they can either PM me for an answer, or post that they're doing it and stopping there, and I will post in the IC describing the effects. (Dont worry, I wont be too harsh.)


Rules

Any questions, about anything at all, PM me and I'll answer within 24 hours.
Posting. I appreciate we all have lives, however, if you're gonna be gone for more than two or three days, let everyone know.
Minimum posting length of two to three hundred words. We're not looking for volume of posts here, but quality.
Remember your character is normal, and this is realistic. When bad things happen, I expect people to freak out.
We're in a bad situation, cursing is expected and allowed, just dont make your character sound like they've got tourrettes. However, graphic sex isnt. If your character happens to fall into bed with someone else, take it to PMs.
No God-modding etc, respect your fellow RPer, we're all here to have fun.

Name: Ryleigh Gunner
Appearance: Ryleigh has long dirty blonde hair which is quite thick and can get knotted easily. Her hair has a slight wave to it because of it's length. Her eyes are brown, hidden behind a pair of thin, black framed pair of glasses. Ryleigh is a little on the chubbier side of the size chart, though she looks healthy, not fat but not stick thin to the point of an eating disorder. She still has some puppy fat around her stomach and thighs. Her skin has a slight tan to it appearing to be a slight murky brown colour rather than a pale peach colour.
Ryleigh stands at around 5'7 and weighs around 136lbs. While she has decent looks, she's no model or major beauty and doesn't consider herself to be one either. She has more of a plain 'Jane' look about her, nothing really sticking out about her at first glance and even having a bit of a geeky look about her.
Her dress sense could be said to be as plain as her looks. Ryleigh isn't one to dress outrageously. She prefers to have her skin covered up and not on show. This means that rather her wardrobe consisting of dresses and skirts, like a lot of girls; her wardrobe is made of an array of different coloured shirts and hoodies, then jeans. On her feet she just sticks to a pair of trainers.

Name: Evan Cale

Appearance: 5’11, average build, but healthy, strong and relatively athletic. Short black hair, which in its usual, messy style is spiked straight up and always accompanied by a couple of days worth of stubble. Would normally be of quite pale complexion, but his lifestyle his gifted him a healthy tan.
Rarely ever seen without a grin stretched across his face, he has a relaxed but confident posture and friendly demeanour that make him seem younger than his 29 years.

Wears a crumpled shirt over the top of a T-shirt, with urban combats as his trousers of choice.

Name: Kaya Seneca

Appearance:Kaya is half Native American, hence her name, and so she has many of those qualities. She has raven black hair, naturally tan skin, wide dark brown eyes, plump lips. However, her doe eyes make her seem like she's smaller than the rest;she is she's only about 5'2 and petite, but in a healthy way. On her wrist there is bright hummingbird,her grandmother says it represents her ability to bring joy, life and happiness anywhere she goes. On the same wrist there she wears a beaded blue bracelet with a white jagged ling of beads in the middle. Other than these two things she dresses very modernly ususally in jeans, V-Necks, and Flip Flops. However, she usually takes her flip flops off and goes barefoot. (And I finally got enough words to post this!)

Name: Jennifer Gordan

Appearance: Jen has long dark brown hair, which she usually keeps half pulled back. She wears little make-up, and stands to be about 5'8" tall. She is always up to date with the latest fashions, the suit her rather slim figure. She has bright, large, blue eyes, and very tan skin. Her ears are triple pierced, and she always wearing three funky sets of ear rings in them. As a child, Jen had braces, as a result she has the perfect smile, to go along with her dimples. She has a mole under her right eye, and a small scar on the far left side of her forehead.

A little note to everybody, I'll be confirming entrance in under 24 hours. As it stands, I dont want five girls to one boy, so anyone else submitting a character has more chance if they're a guy.

EVENT - Waking up.

Everyone is in seperate rooms of the house, first come first served on these. You were all anaesthetised, and should all wake up within 15-30 minutes of each other. Seeing as you were drugged, you're probably not gonna feel so happy for a couple hours either. You've got a day or two real time to explore the house and get to know each other before I start throwing challenges your way.

Oh, and the message. It says "Good morning." Nothing more, nothing less. That phone is also incapable of making outbound calls.

In response to a PM, I'll just clarify that there is no specific posting order. Just be sensible, let a couple of others post before you post again, or failing that and there's no action, give it a day or so.

Now that the text message has been answered, after two or three minutes another one is going to come through, saying

You can write whatever you want into the house, as long as it wont help them directly escape, (Notice I said directly. Hint hint.) I can always veto anything that's ridiculous, like 'finding' a quad bike buried in a shallow pit out back.

It's a fully functioning holiday home, guys. Fridge, freezer and cupboards have a bit of food in them, and the closets are gonna have some clothes and stuff.

(What I really wanted to say there was no, you're just going to have to stink, dear.)

Right then. Greymind, a few seconds after you get maybe twenty - thirty feet from the house you're gonna get a hearty shock for disobeying, dropping you like a tazer. Then the small pulses'll start, getting stronger the longer you stay out there.

Following that, another message will come through, saying

"Naughty naughty."

And everyone will get shocked. No exceptions. You broke the rules, guys. Next event in a day or two.
