This is a tale of lies, betrayal and love...

Long ago, when the world was bright and young. A very sad man fell in love with a girl from the moon. She too, fell in love with this man of earth. This love was taboo. The Moon God and Earth Goddess feared this to be a bad omen.

As a result, war broke out for seven years between the worlds taking many lives and leaving behind ruins as memories. They called these years the "battle that made the moon cried blood." For they say if you looked at the moon, it resembled the color of blood. Some claimed it rained blood.

Towards the end of the war both the moon God and earth Goddess suffered massive damage and soon fell into a deep slumber. They left behind pieces of theirselves to help their planets; The greater craymels.

It is said that the lovers died during the war. This has yet to be proven for soon after the war, the Moon closed it's doors to Earth and have remained distant for over 900 years.

My rules are simple, I want serious and dedicated RP'ers.

And RPGateway rules applied.

A basic profile sheet will do nicely. Name, age, sex, hometown, appearance, history and alliance.

We will be starting in Marvirn; Port town of merchants. You can find anything and then some here. Of course it's filled with thieves and the likes. So expect trouble here.

Viorek Forest

Kali Forest is a hunted forest. No one has ever left the place alive.

Oermin is a desert town that lives of their mines and blacksmith skills.

Oer Dunes; within this place lies the Methien Mines.

Ashmeil Ruins is where the gateway to the Moon once stood.

Right, Earth has advanced greatly when it comes to technology. They've got guns that shoot energy, swords/staffs that can retract into it's handle, flying ships, submarines, teleporters and whatever else that seems reasonable.

Magic is actually a skill that has pretty much died out. Scholars are trying to revive it and put it to use. Very few people know how to use it and are feared but respected. There have also been reports of people

capture the Craymels for a reward but no one knows if they really exist.

Forgot to mention that I am okay with plot ideas and as we go along with the story more towns can/will be added. So you can make up your hometown and the likes.

The Moon is feared, a lot of superstition about it. And there is a religion led by Gillian called The Seekers. Gillian is currently on a pilgrimage to seek the Goddess of Earth.

We've also got a kingdom ruled by Edward the fifth and his wife Lacy. Both the kingdom and religion are having a disagreement over who rules. Man? Or sleeping Gods?

Hmm... I think this is pretty basic for now and will add more or answer questions if needed. =)

Hm. Sounds interesting, with the entire concept of Romance.

Will this be a Medieval or Modern Setting? =/

It's more of a mixture of both based loosely of the Tales video games.
There are lazer guns and swords but it's fantasy.

Skills:
-Eye of the Jester: For a few seconds, Lyre examines his opponent, attempting to look for features or differences that he could exploit. Increases the effectiveness of Cruel jest and Blatant Flattery
-Cruel Jest: Lyre unveils the dark side of Comedy, ridiculing his opponent to draw their fury from others to himself. Provokes a target into attacking him instead of his allies.
-Blatant Flattery: Acting like a Dashing Gentleman, Lyre 'compliments' his enemies with the act of Foreplay. If used towards a female, this skill has a chance to distract that character, but has a chance of rejection, which boosts the enemy's fighting ability only towards Lyre. This skill fails immediately to Males or Androgynous-sexed characters.
-Death before dishonor: Lyre sings about the Glories of the Battlefield in an attempt to persuade his comrades into fighting until their last. Evokes a sense of Honor to increase his Allies' fighting ability and to restore their Morale.
-Anthem of the Proud: Instead of crafting an original Song, Lyre sings the National Anthem of a selected Nation, evoking Nationalism for those aligned with the same Nation and respite for those who oppose it. Increases an ally with the same Nationality's morale and Concentration. However, to allies with an opposing Nationality, this creates a distraction.
-Martel, Angel of Victory: In times of Desperation, Lyre sings about Martel, The Angel of Victory who leads Righteous Rebellions into Victory against the Tyrannical Government. This skill increases the Concentration and Overall fighting ability of his Allies. This skill restores more Morale the more Lyre's side is 'losing'.
-Ballad of Rejuvenation: Lyre sings a song that chronicles the exploits of a group of Young men and Women whom crusaded across worlds and reality itself to restore balance to a broken world. Maximizes the concentration of any Light Affinity Magic Users, and in particular strengthens the Magic of the person whose affection for the Bard is the Highest, regardless of their Affinity. Must be a near Romantic Relationship. If his Love Interest is not a Magic User, it increases Overall Fighting Ability.
-Canticle of Ratatoskr: Lyre recites the Saddening tale of the hero Emil Castagnier, a Mortal contracted by Ratatosk, whose corruption led to the slaying of his beloved friend and love-interest. Maximizes the concentration of any Dark Magic casted by his Allies and slows down generic enemies with evoked images of grief and loneliness.

Their love was short lived since her people took her home. Or something like that XD and it has references to Tales of Destiny 2. The moon was also closed off and all that but eh... I still liked the idea. =)

Lol, when I read your first post, my first reaction was 'Wow, sounds like Sailor Moon'. I hate to admit to knowing this, but there's actually a really good fanfic out there that kind of sounds like this called 'The Ice Cold Princess'. I guess there are a lot of variations on that theme. I definitely think this sounds interesting. Usually I play males, but I think if I create a male character the story will be imbalanced... I'll wait and see who else joins before I put up a character sheet. I'll play whatever's needed.

It was my first anime as well, OZ. =D Right now I'm thinking of having Gillian be the a part of the villain crew during the beginning. Although it wont be noticed until later.

Appearance: Lily is the epitome of what you might expect a scholar to look like. She has large, round glasses, seems to always carry books around with her and wears black robes with red stripes down them that have the Seal of Hidden Knowledge on them. Her hair is dirty blond, pulled back loosely except for two thick chunks that hang in the front. She has sea green eyes that appear slightly larger due to her glasses. She can see just fine without them, but as she loves to read, you almost never see her without them perched precariously on her small, pert nose. She is a modest height; smaller than most but not quite child-sized. In a word, she could be summed up as 'cute', despite her serious dedication to her studies.

History: Lily grew up with her parents in Karlyle. Her life was fairly uneventful for a good 16 years. She spent most of her time reading, as her parents were very Scholarly, and she was reading at a very early age. By the age of seven, one never found Lily without her nose in a book. She knew all the history and all the theories of the planet that she could find out about, and when she turned sixteen, her parents sat her down to ask her a very serious question.

Her mother smiled gently at Lily as she sat with her nose buried in a book. "Lily, you have spent all of your time studying since you were just a little girl."

"Yes, mother. I enjoy it," she said distractedly, not even looking up from her book on theories of the moon people.

"I know, and your father and I are very proud of you, aren't we, honey?"

Her father patted her mother's hand. "Yes we are, dear. We have a very important question to ask you."

At this, Lily set aside her book, pushed her glasses further up on her nose, and looked up at them. "Yes? What is it?"

"You know that we are Scholars." Lily nodded, waiting patiently. She always seemed to have infinite patience. "We belong to an organization called the Hidden Knowledge Pact of the Scholars."

At this, Lily seemed to grow excited. "Oh, I've read all about that! It is said they hold the secrets of magic and that they are very selective in who they choose."

"Yes," her mother smiled at her, "They are. It's where I met your father."

"Lily," her father took over the conversation, "upon a formal meeting of the board, you have been extended an invitation to join us."

"Oh! Oh really? I can't believe it! I'm sure they have so much more information I can learn!"

"Then, you'll join?"

"Of course!"

She was inducted in two weeks later.

The location of the HKPS is unknown and so is the information that they carry.

All that can really be said about her time there is that she now carries with her a knowledge many have sought over the years and have come up empty. She was gifted with what some believe is the knowledge of the Gods.

Today finds her in Marvirn, looking for supplies and whatever new books have appeared on the market.

History: Meiun grew up not knowing his parents, since they abandoned him because they could not support him. He was taken in by a seemingly poor shopkeeper. He worked diligently in the shop for a few years until he reached the age of 16. He was then taken in the middle of the night and placed in a dingy cell underneath the city. Then the shopkeeper came to see him.

"Hey! Help me! Get me out of here!" He called to the shopkeeper.

"I don't think so my young lad. You're going to stay here."

"Why? Why won't you help me!"

"Because you're going to amuse me and fight."

"What?!?"

"You heard me correctly boy. You're going to fight in the arena for your freedom."

That very night he had his first fight. He won only barely. He continued to fight every other night for the next two years, winning sometimes and losing other times. He grew stronger every day. When he turned 18, he was moved up in status and began to receive money for his wins. He also got the freedom that he desired, but it was only a partial freedom. He continued to fight, for two more years. Finally, he fought the champion of the arena, and almost lost his life, but he prevailed. He had become the new champion and had earned his freedom. He no longer fought in the arena, and he had saved enough of his winnings to buy a small hut on the outskirts of the city. Now he's a fighter for hire, and he also does odd jobs.

Skills:
Falcon Strike-Meiun focuses his inner power and strikes with an uppercut that contains the speed of a falcon and the deadliness of a falcon. When he's using this technique a falcon's form appears around his fist.
Internal Chi-By focusing his Chi, Meiun's reflexes become heightened and he is able to defend from attacks easily and his strength increases.
Berserk- Meiun grows enraged, and unleashes a flurry of punches and kicks upon his enemy. After this attack he becomes fatigued and can't defend himself easily.
Wolf Kick- A quick, yet powerful kick that contains all the power of a wolf pouncing on it's prey. It is incredibly fast.
Leviathan Kick- A small puddle of water will appear by Meiun's foot, but the water eventually turns into a serpent that wraps around his leg. When Meiun attacks, the snake leaps onto his opponent, biting and constricting his opponent.
Titan's Fist- Meiun's ultimate attack. Meiun is consumed by the strength of a titan, and he unleashes an incredibly strong punch that can break almost any material and will kill a normal man.
