There are
three kinds of people in this world, really. The ones that are unimaginative and never see a spark of creation in their lives; those gifted with a small amount of creative, and who can create machinery and equipment that are within logical limits to be used by others. Then there are those who are
completely illogical, you know who you are. >=C
Mecha; An illegitimate combat vehicle which should be used only as an intimidation weapon, in my honest opinion. Come on, they're 60 foot tall weapons totting 105 millimeter cannons and Directed Energy Weapons; we all agree, they're fuckin' scary, but you have to realize, there's no use for that in urban or any other form of warfare, really. The only reason I'd see fit to use one of those is in some form of a preemptive strike, and hardly at that. Mecha's are completely useless in warfare, really. Thinking logically, they'd eat up fuel, ammunition, you'd have to devote entire Armor Brigades to protecting only four or five Fireteams of them. Once you
get those things on the battlefield, chances are they'll just get hit by Dedicated Ground Support. =l
Walkers; Oh jebus, I
love Walkers. Look at it this way people, these aren't the 60 foot tall giant machines bristling with illogical and heavy pieces of ammunition and weaponry. These things are 20, 30 feet tops; small, compact, and quick. They have a good amount of armament, a decent power supply, and most of all, they're tangible. Get a group of those; five or ten, latch them on to a tank platoon, add a Company of Infantry and you have a deadly fighting force. These are much more logical vehicles than Mecha; they're relatively easy to produce, they can be mass produced, and they're basically a large General Combat Vehicle.
plus the Mecha could just hop around until it gets close to the tank and step on it.
That's not very tactical. Don't be dumb, your 60 foot Mech isn't going to be hopping around with SAM-Sites bristling around the area and being outnumbered by Enemy Armor. >=C
Super Robot Wars: Original Generation.
Mechs beat tanks EVERY TIME. If you get beaten by a tank, then you suck at the game.
It's a
game child. I hate to say it, but I'm assuming you have little experience with common Infantry and Armor tactics, ja?
yeah but can a tank fly transform or do any of that stuff
Creating vehicles that transform are dum. Keep it in the movies plz.
Speaking in all seriousness, the tank is the more logical Combat Vehicle. That's just because we've used them for more than fifty years. I'd much rather take a platoon of T-90's or Leopards over a Fireteam (2) of Mecha's or even Walkers, for that matter. You have to take into account the
full tilt of the Battle-Field Chain.
Infantry is supported by Armor, Armor is supported by Infantry, Armor and Infantry are supported by Aircraft, Aircraft are supported by Infantry and Armor.
