I really appreciate the humor in this particular funny, uh, thing. Whatever they are called. But then again, I am a StrongBad fan. You either appreciate the humor or you don't I guess.

On another note, what do you people think of Russia invading Georgia? Does anyone care? I guess I have been made to care, since a good friend of mine wont shut up about it. She was a fan of Russia like most people are fans of Pamela Anderson's cleavage, seriously. (So I guess instead of Wapanese she would be Wussion? Eheheh.) She was appalled by their actions. Dude, it was like she was being cheated on. So, perhaps she made me a little bit desensitized to the topic.

But. Some statistics are interesting.

Seriously? NINE? They haven't even broke double digits.

To the Strong Bad thinger: 'Twas indeed funny. My cousin is like addicted to them (or at least he was ... I'm not too sure where he stands now) and he's shown me like a million of them. Some pretty fun video-type things.

As for the whole other thing you are talking about: *stares* What? ...I think I'm a tad out of the loop. I have no idea what's going on so I shall say nothing.

As an American, I'm not comfortable with the idea of Russia playing command & conquer again, but at the same time--as an American--I don't particularly see what I could do or what I would be doing if I could. Perhaps I should be with Georgia on this one since they're our allies....but then again I'm not a fan of the idea that we're bound to defend a nation just because it sent a negligible amount of secondary troops to help us invade a nation that we shouldn't have invaded in the first place anyway. Or that we want to be involved in a war with the second* most powerful nation in the world under any circumstances.

Rambling aside: I'll wait and see how this plays out.

It's none of our business (our being the Us, the UK or any other bugger). And as Village Alchemist said, who wants to piss Russia off? No one, that is who.

International intervention is not Americas forté, especially due to the considerable hypocrisy of them telling Russia off for invading another country. Oh, and rich: they want Russia out of the G8, and sanctions put on them. Wow, I can smell the hypocrisy from here.
When the end seem to justify the means, you've tried too hard to find an excuse. When 'by any means necessary' means 'violence may become necessary' you've lost sight of your goal. When people lay down and die rather than endure any more suffering, worry for the state of humanity. When people do not comment on how wrong this is, become angry at the world, because feeling that upset is too hard to bare. When people say 'you care too much' don't answer, because there is no such thing.

You want to tell the Georgians, who have been for the past five years been trying to get the West on their side, that "nope, sorry, you're on your own"? Go on, the borders are still open. Want to tell that to the Ukrainians, too? Or the Lithuanians, when it's their turn?

I guess that's no different from the reaction the Caucasus in general got when Tsarist Russia invaded and annexed it, and then displaced the natives to central Russia and the Ottoman Empire, though. Par for the course.

We are always in other people's business. Why? Aside from "trying" to spread Capitalism, there are things that can be gained. Green goes a long way.

Nukes anyone...?

I wasn't denying the Yanks are always in peoples business. I was saying it's not their forté in the sense that they're godamn shit at it and have the diplomatic ability of a dying rhinoceros with a tumour on his face. Not in the sense that they don't do it.
