"Yeah." Haylee smiled softly, before she tapped her stomach gently. "I..I don't know. We'll have to see if it's a little boy or girl first, won't we?" She said with a small smile, still kinda dazed about the who fact that she was going to be a mother, and Denny the father. A week ago, she wouldn't even have dreamt of talking to the male that was lying next to her, let alone sleep with him. And now, they were having a baby. It was just all too fast, and all too real for her, even though she was happy - she was still scared.

"I guess so..." he pouted. He didn't like waiting that long. How he wished that children would grow in 3 minutes and just be born. But of course, he knew that they couldn't. "I can't... I can't wait until I can hold the little one in my arms... Sing it little songs..."
He knew Haylee would've loved to have the baby too, but he saw that she was scared. She was worried and dazed and a mixture of emotions that a teenage girl would've had in her face and eyes if she knew she was pregnant. He touched the side of her face with a worried look on his.
"Hay... Hay... Don't be scared... I know, it's too fast, but... We'll get through this together. I promise I won't leave you."
He kissed her gently before hesitantly getting out of bed to pull a blanket over Janie. She was practically hugging herself and shivering. He grabbed a random quilt somewhere from the corner of the room, unfolded it and lay it on Janie, tucking her in. He smoothed the strands of hair that were in her face away and gave her a little kiss on the forehead. Janie stirred a little but fell back asleep. Denny sat right next to her, watching her with worry.

"I know... it seems like it is going to be a long time until we're holding our child, but it won't be that long, I promise." Haylee told him quietly, and then she felt his hand gently cupping her cheek. "I know that you won't leave me... but... I'm just scared. What if I screw up, Denny?" She asked softly, before he kissed her. She bit her lip and then he climbed out of the bed when Janie was cold. She sat up slightly in the bed, so that she could watch him. "You're going to be a brilliant father." She said quietly, when he was just there watching his younger sister with worry filling his eyes.

Denny gave Janie a stroke on the head with the back of his hand and looked at Haylee.
"Hay, don't think that way... You aren't going to screw up. If you're sure you love the child, and the child loves you, you're... You're pretty much a good mother. I'll help you take care of the kid. I'll teach you some of the ropes, since I'm such a sissy boy." He smiled and turned back to Janie, who was shifting in her sleep again, eyelids opening unconsciously revealing her beautiful brown eyes again before she drifted off to Dreamland again.
"Thanks." he said, not facing her. Once he was sure that Janie was comfortable he slowly got up so he wouldn't disturb her peaceful nap and sat back on the edge of Haylee's bed.

"I've never been around kids for very long, Denny, not like you have. I don't know anything about raising another life that isn't mine. God, I killed my hamster and my cat." Haylee bit her lip and then ran a hand through her hair. "You're not a sissy boy - you're a good brother. There's a hell of a lot of difference in those two categories." She smiled softly, and then after a moment he was back sitting next to her on the edge of her bed. She sighed and linked her fingers with his, closing her eyes.

"It may not be your own life, Haylee, but the kid is your flesh and your blood, and mine as well. Hamsters and cats are different. They aren't your flesh and blood. They aren't the sweat drops that fall off your forehead when you bear the child. They aren't the thing you wait nine months for." he said in a calm tone. "Well... Maybe they are if you're an avid pet lover. But what I'm saying is... The kid... As long as you love the kid and you know you're willing to sacrifice everything you have for it, then you are a good mother."
He laughed when she told him that there was a difference between a sissy and a good brother.
"But I am a sissy. Most of the fathers I know don't know even half of what I do about taking care of children."

Haylee sighed and then ran a hand across her forehead. She didn't know the first thing about raising a child, and she knew that she was probably mess things up very quickly with their child. She didn't want to mess up, harm it in any way or be a bad mom, but she had no idea how to even change a diaper. Sighing softly, she squeezed his hand lightly and then bit her lip. "I guess so.." She said quietly, before smiling up a little at him. "Oh com on. You love your sister more than anything - and that hardly makes you a sissy."[/font]

((such a long time... -_-))

"Well, tell that to my dad." he said, practically groaning from remembering what his dickhead of a father did to him, his mother and his younger sister. No wonder his mother parted ways with him. No wonder he left with his sister. He wanted to protect the girl from harm. He didn't want her to get hurt like he did. Luckily, he got her at an age when you can just throw away your memories. Sure, it was hard living to support yourself and your sister, even if your parents were still paying for your tuition, but one day, he knew, that would come to an end. He tried his best to make a good living now so that both of them would be happy. And now, she was. And he was... Distraught. Distraught by the troubles of being a father figure to Janie and being a father to a baby. At so young an age. What would his parents say? His friends? His sister? Haylee?
"Haylee, just promise me... Promise me that you won't just abandon the child. I surely won't." he said seriously.

Haylee sighed when Denny spoke about his dad like that, and she sat up, placing her free hand on his arm lightly, soothing him. "I'm sorry about what he did to you.. I really am." She said quietly, before then leaning forward and gently resting her chin on his shoulder so that she could close her eyes once more. "But you are anything but a sissy. You're a kind, gentle, sweet, funny, loving, caring man that just wants to look after his sister. It's hardly a crime." She spoke softly, the tiredness coming back into her body.
Then, she sat up, a look of confusion and horror on her face. "Whaa--I would never....I kn--know what it's like to grow up with no parents.. I wouldn't put my own child through that."

Denny sighed as he gently lay her down again, concerned about her suddenly sitting up when she needed to rest.
"Hey, Haylee... You need your rest." he said gently, putting his right hand on her upper back and his other on one of her shoulders. He gave a gentle push downward, only strong enough to tell her that she just needed to lay down. He smoothed a hand against her face before tucking her in again.
"Hay, I know... I know you wouldn't... Just... I just needed the assurance that you wouldn't. We have to stay in this together, you know. Us four. You, me, the baby and Janie."

Feeling Denny push her down once more and then smooth a hand over her cheek lightly made Haylee's stomach do flips. She liked being this close to him, this friendly, and lovable with him, and she just wanted it to stay this way. But they were supposed to hate each other, right? How was this going to work out without many complications? Her hand squeezed his affectionately, wanting him to lay down next to her again, but didn't ask in case he needed to get up once more. "Us four...yeah..." She murmured, close to sleep. "I don't want anything less than that.. just us four.. happy.."
