:The Apocalypse: ( )

Postby Systemme on Sat May 03, 2008 10:59 pm

_--Intro:--_

It wasn't real anymore. It couldn't be. It was inhuman.

The day was told by how grey the sky was. If it was light grey, it was daytime. If it was darker, evening. And if it was black, night.

The sky wasn't blue anymore. The cloud's weren't even white.. they were the ugliest shade of greenish brown you'd ever seen, from all the smog in the air.

They warned the humans.. they sure did. They told them, "Stop polluting!" .. The Earth screamed, "Stop hurting me!"

Well.. look who gets to pay for it now..
I've come to realize..

Echo walked down the main street of a dusty ghost town. His large black trench coat fluttered in the breeze. He scanned the streets, the humans here needed cleansing. He could smell their stench from the street.

A dark figure scuttled into the road, but stopped like a deer in headlights. Echo drew his pistol and took aim. He though about the pleasure of the kill for a minute, reliving how it would feel within his mind. When he pulled the trigger the bullet would end that man's life. He pulled.

The bullet soared through the air, finding its mark. The man's chest burst open, splattering blood all over the dusty scenery. He was not dead yet however, Echo could see the life still pulsating within him.

Echo walked over to the man, now keeling over and clutching his chest. He stood tall over him and transformed. Large, draganic wings sprouted out of Echo's back, his nails and teeth grew and hardened into powerful killing utensils, and his muscles bulged and pulsated.

"Now..." Echo hissed. "Is your time, you filthy wretch."

His first claw on his right hand jabbed into the back of the man's neck. It pierced through his spinal cord and kept going, gushing blood out all over the scene. The man's spinal cord snapped and sent his body into death trows, convulsing over and over again.

Echo stood and watched, satisfied.

Sitting at his prefered spot on the upper portion of a long dead sky-scraper Grim viewed the area below through his scope. So far he hadn't had much to deal with today. Word of him had got around and people were keeping their noses clean. That or he had killed all the criminals within a few miles in just the last two days.

Noticing some abrupt movement to his left he watched a single mugger assault a woman. He'd seen her before. She worked at the hospital a few blocks down. Seemed to be a nice lady. Helped people on the street, and he'd never seen her do anything wrong. Lining up a shot he waited untill she was pushed back from the man before firing. As the man stepped forward to grab her the long bullet impacted the Occipital bone at the back of his skull. Knicking off a chunk of his brain before wreaking havoc on his spine and internal organs. Ducking down behind some concrete wreckage Grim waited for a time before returning to his position.

The woman wa fine. Some blood on her clothes but other than that just fine. It was likely that man had been one of the last of the scumbags in the area. Sliding down fallen pillars and rails Grim found himself at the bottom of the massive structure in a matter of minutes. Looking like an ordinary bystander who didn't want to attract any attention he headed off into another section of town.

She sat, perched, on the top of an ancient Roman Catholic building. A very long cloak of see-through white fabric fluttered in the wind, blowing east, as her wings shimmered in the remnants of the world's light.

She must've been one of the most captivating beings left in the ever-dying world. Her eyes were like a violet-tinted opal, changing color in whatever fraction of light they could get to. Her skin was a milky white, and her lips an abnormally pale rose. ...She must've been the only being with a glimmer of hope in those special eyes of hers.

Ash smiled gently among the landscape. A silver glow encased her body, like those you often see painted onto biblical angels. She fluttered off the top of her perch.. effortlessly floating to the ground from the 20-foot height. Even the broken shards of glass had been lit up by her infectious glow.

A few feet away, she saw the spineless corpse of a middle-aged male. She merely smiled, gently, she was used to the idea of death. It would be a little tougher than usual due to the condition his body was in, but it wasn't such a big task.

Ash knelt down on the ground, sharp pieces of glass piercing the skin on her knees. She didn't even flinch .. she merely kept her soft, ever-glowing smile as she placed her hands over the man; rebuilding his spinal cord. With a final tap, his heart began beating again, and his eyes glowed white as he looked at her thankfully, as if he knew instantly knew what she was.

An angel.

Echo neared the end of the road, seeing a large city up ahead. He let the energy of his draganic form flow out of him and became human again. He entered the city, he needed some sustanance. Human flesh was disgusting and foul, some well-cooked food would do him good.

Walking through the streets was like torture. There were so many he could kill...so many he could destroy...but he let his temptations rest. It would have to wait until he left the city, the city was too tight. No doubt some holy man would try to fight him and cause a huge scene.

He walked into an Inn and sat down at the bar.

"Hey bartender, what do you have for food and drink?" Echo asked, the place wasn't busy at all, the bartender wasn't serving.

His reply came promptly. "Well, house wine is a Cabernet, I think our best dish is the roasted chicken."

"Hit me up with that, I got cash." Echo said, pulling his wallet out of his jacket and showing off the money. "You want to see it before I order right? Bad times man."

Play it cool, don't get to yourself, you aren't normal. He might think you're the murderer...which is bad in a city.

Echo sat, waiting for his order, and looked out the window. He saw a man lying there, crumpled with part of his skull missing. He laughed slightly, but caught himself. If the bartender noticed what he was laughing at it would be horrible.

Echo got his food and drink and enjoyed it thoroughly, the bar didn't have enough havoc though, so he quickly got up and left, paying a nice tip. He walked through the streets, just looking for chaos. He didn't want to cause it...no it would be too blatant, just watch it...it pleased him.

A flash of black leaped behind him, the click of her high heels barely audible against the screams and moans of constant death around them. She grinned. His hair was nice and short. He seemed rather well kept, clean, ..full of blood. Lots of it.

She grinned, licking her lips. Boy was she hungry. She didn't even have time to seduce this one, though he was very good looking.

Her long fingernails tapped against the hilt of her gun as she flipped it out of her waist belt. It became instantly at home in her hands, the groove of the handle resting perfectly against her palm, as if she'd held that same gun since the day she was born.

The vampiric figure then lunged forwards, pressing the barrel of the gun against Echo's neck with one hand, and pulling him closer to her with the other. Her body was pressed against his back.. and she was shivering with excitement.

"Shh.." Ember whispered, "Don't move.."

Not even a moment later, her fangs had buried themselves in his neck, the delicious crimson flowing into her mouth.

Echo twitched. This girl obviously had no idea what she was dealing with, he reached up and ripped the gun clean from her hands. Then pushed he face away from his neck. There was a noticable amount of pain as the fangs ripped away at his skin coming out, but he ignored it.

"Who do you think you are...biting me without permission?" Echo said smiling. "You cannot infect a Draken, we already have most of your traits...craving for blood, fangs, claws, strength its all there."

He handed her the gun back and turned to face her for the first time. Ooh, she was a suductress...just what he liked. He bowed, making sure his coat opened to show off his well-tattood abs.

"So, who are you anyways? Ive already told you my biggest secret."

She stared at his abs, speechless for a moment, before bringing her blood red eyes up to his, "I wasn't trying to infect you," the young vampiress scoffed, "I'm hungry.. starving. It's been days since I've had a fresh feed."

Ember stepped forward, placing her hand against his abs, and her lips merely a breath away from his, "So how about it?" She tempted, obviously fearless of men, no matter how powerful they were, "I have to say.. you look pretty tasty.."

She raised an eyebrow, grinning widely. He even smelled delicious.

"Sorry, my blood is valuable. Not about to give it up to some vampiric seductress. You'll have to do better than that." Echo said laughing devilishly. "I do not fear what you can do to me."

Echo leaned up against the wall and crossed his arms, waiting for her to respond. He enjoyed having her life in his hands.

Roselia gave a mighty flap of her black, red tipped wings and flew into the air. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she felt the lose of something so pure and innocent. In her arms, she carried a young girl, no older than five. The child had been stabbed and was dying in Roselia's slender arms. Her heart broke as she felt the child's labored breathing leave the small body.
Flying as fast as she could, Roselia held onto the poor child, wishing and praying with all her might that the young girl pulled through. She landed on a nearby rooftop, she laid the poor child on the ground, whispering softly, "Tis alright, young one. I am here to help you."
"Let...me...go..." the young girl stammered lightly, pushing at Roselia's hands.
"Dear, sweet child," she pleaded with her.
"Angel...take...me..." the child never spoke another word to Roselia or to the world. Roselia covered the young girl with a wing, turning away from the now lifeless body of an innocent.

She pushed the gun up against his stomach, letting a low growl roll from in between her lips.

"Would you like to play nice?" The vampiress playfully smiled, "Or.." She shoved the gun up against his stomach, feeling his abs tense up beneath her, "Would you like to be difficult?"

____________

Meanwhile, Ash had picked up the scent of blood. She knew it was somewhat demonic. Something she had to get rid of.

Her wings slowly picked her up by the shoulders as she sped between the roads and alleyways, piles of dead bodies, and debris from the destruction.

Stopped dead in her tracks was the culprit, pressed up against the wall. She stared at the woman standing in front of him, seeming to want more from him, but apparently oblivious to Ash.

The angel smiled something that could light up the whole city if she tried, and merely folded her arms, hovering behind the young seductress.

Echo laughed, his abs pushing the gun back a little as he did.

"We have a guest..." He said as a small droplet of blood dripped from his neck wound, obviously tempting the vampire. "And still I do not know your name..."

His eyes focused behind the vampire and on the angellic girl, flapping her wings behind her.

Ash rushed forwards, a gust of cold air accompanying the force of her wings, and seemed to almost go through Ember as she drew herself to Echo.

The angel said nothing, merely looking tenderly into his eyes. She knew he was a lost soul. However, she also knew he had the drive to change. He just didn't know it yet.

She pressed two fingers to his neck, healing the wound almost instantaneously with a white flash of light. She knew it was slightly intimidating to him, but she was sure he'd be appreciative for the effort.

Ash tried to flutter away as innocently as she'd arrived.. but something was pulling on one of her wings. She pushed more forcefully, wordlessly groaning as the culprit gained a handful of spilt feathers. Her cries echoed throughout the landscape, as if heaven itself had felt the pain for her.

Ember stood behind her- the handful of what looked to be one of the most genuine things on Earth, burnt to dust in her hands.

Echo felt weird, the wound that he had previously held as a gift was now healed. To be chosen by a vampire in her peak of need was a gift, yet this angel took it from him. He ignored her rude actions, intrigued by what would seemingly develop into a fight.

He returned his original posture. Leaning up against the wall with his arms crossed, his rifle case hanging down by his side. He licked his lips, enjoying the struggle between the two beautiful females.

Across the street on the third floor of an abandoned office building Grim sat with his rifle leveled on the three strange individuals a block or two down. So far there seemed to be an angel, a vampire, and someone who was obviously not human, but not necessarily evil. He'd made up his mind. He'd probably shoot the vampire when he got a clear shot, maybe the other man to, and let the angel go about her merry way. The world was in need of more angels. They were some of the last sources of light and goodness in the world.

Echo decided not to stick around, his lady friends were drawing too much attention at this point. He walked out into the road and looked up, bored. Something caught his eye. It was the long stick of a rifle barrel coming out of the third story window.

Echo ran into the building and up the stairs, ignoring the random civilians until he got to the third floor. He pulled out his Baretta and walked into the room, leveling it at the man's head.

"Don't shoot...or I will."

"Nice trick." Echo laughed, collecting himself. "She was not about to kill me, we were toying with one another. However, the scuffle between the angel and her is real."

Echo holstered his pistol and leaned up against the wall.

"Yet, I wouldn't stop them, they will both live. They are above killing each other...what name do you go by?"

"Do not call us creatures of darkness, we are more...misunderstood. She hasn't fed in days out of sympathy for the humans, which is why she wanted me so bad.

I, however, have no sympathy for you filthy creatures. The only reason I haven't killed you is because you seem to be one of the smart ones. Your race needs as many of you as they can manage. They are the ones who brought about this darkness, do not blame me nor her."
