Home to those the world would rather hide


The Rose Asylum is a large, stone house in the middle of nowhere. And it is into this place that all the World's misfits and freaks are sent. The house itself is a cold, unwelcoming place, full of unneeded security measures to make the house as prision like as possible. The creatures that live there vary greatly and include many races and variations on humans. All that live there have a human form of some description; those races who don't were killed long ago. The creatures who live there are not permitted to venture outside, but are supplied with everything they need.

The rp is about the inhabitants who are locked there. Romance is encouraged and feel free to make family members that come to visit ect. Each character should have their own personal story and have an opinion about the Asylum. Each character should also have a secret or some other piece of information that will be found out as the rp goes along.

You may be any species you like that has a resemblance of a Human, or at least one form that is human. Ghosts are not allowed however. There may be up to two characters per person and please do bios for both. Also, humans with special abilities are great too, as are magic users.

The Rules
Aren't really many; no god-modding; bad language in moderation; please don't escape from the Asylum as this defeats the whole object of the roleplay...

Sexuality: Straight but has been known to swing both ways .
Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: Human but has black wings, is here for his own safety and the safety of others
Looks: But with black feathered wings i do have a picture i just cant find it atm.
Bio: Tristan was kidnapped and experimented on when he was 16, having hazy memories of his time there he chooses not to remember. He was found by people who saved him from near death and placed him into the asylum.

Age: Presumed to be 17
Sexuality: Perhaps bi. Not much is known of her romantic interests.
Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: Very strange, but usually non-lethal things happen to people she doesn't like (like they grow cat ears or develop blue spots or her own hair temporarily bursts into flames)

Bio: Rosline is a quiet, myserious girl who doesn't say much. She was put into the asylum after her aunt couldn't take any more of her. She plays the violin and reacts badly to being called a witch.

Bio:
Gypsys, of the Demonic type, all always males, they are the male version of the Veela. The Gypsys that most people know, the human knds are when a a female is born to a gypsy line, they have no powers but follow in their counter parts footsteps anyway. Gyspys mate for life, unlike their veela counterpart, and are born, well, not all to pretty, they are born plain, with no beautiful attributes, they gain beauty when their mate is near, and stay beautiful once they are married. They dance always, from their first steps they dance, though their dancing also approves with their mate nearby. Gypsys usually find their mate at age 15, those who find a mate who does not want them usually die and their mate lives a loveless life.Gypsy when married can see the future and read the mind and emotions of their spouse and some others. The Gypsy dance is how they call their mate, by dancing, anyone watching will feel the Gyspy's pull that heats the blood of onlookers, Gypsy's cannot choose their mate, the 'fates' do it for them, Gypsy's can smell their mate, usually when theirs is near they smell smoke, grass, and earth, the smell of a Gyspy village. All Gypsy men are male, and are decendants of Veelas.
Espera has yet to find his mate, and he is getting worried, al he know is, that his mate, is male, she was sent to the Asylum because he could not control the gypsy pull he emits, so his parents thought this place would be the best.

Tristan groaned slightly as his eyes opened, glancing at the clock it was only 6 o'clock in the morning. What confused him was that he was in the living room. well he must have gone out of his rom to the living room then fell asleep there. Rubbing his eyes he sat up yawning, heaving himself up off the sofa he crept into the kitchen grabing two apples and poured himself a bowl of cereal.

(I think you should make an IC, since it's not as confussing since OOC is also used for infromation people need and if other people want to join randomly, it wil be odd, dead.)

I agree on the IC, it would be a bit awkward otherwise. I also may add another character for interest.

Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: Demon/ was put here because of his violent attacks on people that made fun of him or were his enemies.

Bio: He usually stays in his half demon form or human form. He will only turn to protect some one who is his friend. He smiles some times but is usually depressed.

Hey, if you don't like this, I can definitely vamp it...but you said magic was allowed, so...it kinda falls in the category...

Sexuality: Was raised believing that you could only love males, but doesn't really care.
Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: Human, but is psychic and can read emotions. Considered dangerous to the people around her, as she is highly unstable, because of what she can see or "read" from other people.

Bio: Vera was born to a happy and well-off family, the precious daughter of an established banker...over a hundred years ago. Sent away at fourteen to a respected asylum at the time, a witch working there saw Vera's abilities and talent wasting away as the asylum deteriorated her already waning sanity. She cast a spell on Vera, making her sleep, spiriting her away to a house where she then left her, hoping that when Vera awoke, she would be in a time period where she could thrive. And sleep she did, kept in the same old house, undisturbed for a century, until one day, some teenagers found her slumbering in a secret room. They woke her up by means of instructions left on her bedside, the witch left, however, as soon as she woke the thoughts and emotions flooded her mind, weakened from the sleep, and she went crazy, accidently killing one of the teenagers in her rampage. Sent to Rose Asylum because no one knew what to make of her, but had to keep her tucked away from the public's eye. Still doesn't understand some of the complexities of the modern world.

Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: Jessica is a witch, plain and simple. To be precise, though, she has control over the memories of people she's met more than once. Also, whatever she draws comes true. So if she drew herself in a new outfit, she would get that new outfit. If she drew a person, that person would either come to the Asylum or be born somewhere. If Jessi draws sloppily, though, nothing will happen. Jessi can speak 13 languages and can manipulate objects to do her general will if she wishes. I.e.a football, flying through the air, will either slip out of the hands of the catcher or land safely.
Looks:
Bio: Jessica has been in the Asylum for five years. She first found her power at age ten but kept it a secret until she was twelve. Her parents, terrified, put her in the Asylum. The young girl suffers from abandonment issues and is quite quiet in the prescence of authority, though just fine without them around. When she has gone days without drawing, she will do anything to draw, incuding use the wall as paper and her blood as ink.

Name: Calamity May Rose.
Nickname: Callum, or Cal.
Age: seventeen
Sexuality: undefined
Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: human, with some magical ability. Her twin brother died in an 'accident' when se was fourteen years old, and she was sent to the asylum when it was discovered she still frequently conversed with the boy. Beyond delusion - it was as though Samael, her brother, was actually still alive.
Looks:
Bio: I suppose I just put a fair bit of it up there..
Besides that, her mother died when she was young, under mysterious circumstances. Her father took comfort in his reflection in the glass of a beer bottle, and Cal in her brother.

Name: Ajani Ita Hawar

Age: He might be forty as far as he knows.

Sexuality: Bisexual

Race/Reason why they're in the Asylum: Ajani is human, but does have control over some of the elements. They are not very powerful, but he can kill people given enough time to harness energy. He is going to have to stay in the asylum for the rest of his life. Not only was he found trying to kill all of his family, but it was found he had the ability to control elements in a drab world without magic. Since most of his family is dead, and he is tying to kill them... No, no one is going to visit him much.

Looks: Ajani is tall, reaching six foot four inches (193.04 cm) at least. He has pure white hair that is in thick dreadlocks. It reaches about the nape of his neck. His skin is a very dark, but lined with slightly pale scars. His eyes are an electric blue, nearly looking blind in appearance. He is about sixty four

Ajani wears normal traveling clothes. It consists of a light brown cotton shirt that is usually buttoned up to about half way up his chest. It is then covered with a dark blue jacket resembling one a man would wear on the high seas. It is left open, most often. He then wears very simple pants and lace up boots. In the asylum, they probably made him wear something entirely different, though.

Bio: Ajani was born high into a noble family. This did jot go over as his father was the high noble and his mother was the slave. His father sent him to live with his aunt. His mother was executed because of bearing up a child with a noble when she was a slave.

Ajani's aunt and uncle were abusive. Mainly his aunt, but his uncle never stopped the aunt from beating him. His father never found this out. At ten they gave him to another family, who used him as a slave. This happened many years before given to a scholar. He saw potential and started to show Ajani different things about potions and magic. This is when he started having the flash backs. He would start shaking. Soon he would break into a cold sweat. After that, memories would pour over him, all of them about abuse. At times the memories would lap over. At this point his body would react like he was being beat. He would not bleed, but he would swear he could feel every blow. His now adoptive father created a potion that helped him get over this. He taught Ajani to create this potion.

Now, he is planning his revenge on the families who did this to him. He has killed them with a potion that is hard to detect and can be used as a spice. Just as he was about to reach his goal and kill every family member and owner, he was caught and brought here. Now, he will die here.
