Sixteen days after the successful deployment of three Landun Scout Class Vessels the Council has voted to make first contact with an interstellar neighbor known as the 'Confederacy'. The decision comes after over two weeks of research was conducted beyond the edges of The Asira System into the dangers of alien development. A spokesman for the Council released a short statement last night:

"As many are aware, the Council sanctioned exploratory intelligence surveys of a bordering system in which development is believed to have reached an accelerated level. These beliefs were proved true. A number of peoples have reached a point where they are capable of reaching our system en masse, some of whom may be hostile. As per these findings, the Council has sanctioned an expeditionary team to traverse to one of these bordering systems to establish diplomatic relations. Our goal is to establish knowledge of our existence ans to begin evaluating these distant systems so that we may better protect our borders."

The spokesman refused to add any more information regarding the exact advancements of these foreign neighbors. It is believed that the Expeditionary Team was dispatched this morning, and early reports claim that a further two Landun Scout Class Vessels comprised this team, bringing the total umber of ships in uncharted space to five, with over twenty-thousand personnel. The Council expects information regarding the success of these diplomatic attempts within the next three to five days, and has promised to release a statement after assessing the information gained.

In other news, the AIP sent to the distant Adruga System has returned after three years of service. Reports indicate that no signs of life were seen in the system, and funding appears to have been cut to the project. Many foreign policy experts believe the AIP, nicknamed 'Adruga' itself, will play a central role in negotiations beyond the Asira System. Adruga is undergoing maintenance works on Furit while crew are on shore leave. Adruga is expected to be back on operational duties within a week, bringing a close to the three-month lapse in its tour-of-duty.

Official Statement issued by the Aschen High Space Command

We understand that many Terrans are angry, but the additional loss of life is not only unwarranted, but unnecessary. The rabble-rousing by Balthazar can only be described as an individual whom takes pleasure in the shed of additional innocent lives. So it is unfortunate that we have to release this statement.

"We will continue to rebuild Terra until attacks are carried out against our workers, and our contractors. When that time comes, that a malcontent decides to carry out harm against our people, we will unfortunately have to dismantle the buildings we have constructed, cease terraforming and leave your world in ruin.

The choice is yours and solely yours, if you decide to show aggression against our people, then we will respond in kind. Additionally we're going to begin imposing sanctions against Terra, until the Sovereign Terran Government can deal with this threat.

Parliamentary Resolution 12-442 A:
"Terra is henceforth barred from constructing any combat-cable machines/robots/entities until this resolution expires, additionally, Terra is barred from sending any vessels beyond the oort cloud of the sol system, additionally, sanctions imposed will bar Terra from maintaining any offensive military capability, beyond the defense of their own world."

Additionally, the Aschen High Space Command, is offering 2.5 Million Cubits for information leading to the arrest, conviction, and imprisonment of Balthazar Winchester the Seventh.

This Resolution will be enforced by the Private-Military Companies of the Tech Con Group.

My fellow Terrans,

In the wake of recent events and continued hostilities between non-Terran governments and factions occurring on Terran soil and in Terran space, the position of the Terran Liberation Front is clear and consistent. We do not recognize the sovereignty of the Aschen Confederation or any other government or faction to impose regulations permitting, requiring, or prohibiting us from taking any given actions in our own interest. The Aschen signed a treaty recognizing our sovereignty over our own planet; thus, as their legislative bodies continue to pass resolutions infringing upon our sovereignty, we shall not recognize said resolutions as binding. We do not recognize Aschen authority over Terra and its people. Terrans are urged to stand against this pointless attempt to continue to impose tyranny upon the Terran people.

We aboslutely and entirely condemn in whole the actions of the Aschen Confederation military in glassing over seventy percent of Terra, killing hundreds of millions of innocent Terrans and violating the treaty signed by the Aschen's own diplomatic representative on behalf of the Confederation. We do not accept the Aschen offer to "terraform" the ravaged areas. We as Terrans shall take this responsibility upon ourselves, including the right to retain any private corporations to assist in rebuilding efforts. Terrans, now is the time to continue your stand against the continued Aschen presence on Terra after they promised the complete withdrawal of all military and official personnel and have not yet done so. It is clear that unless the Aschen upholds the treaty and honors its provisions, their diplomatic representative is a liar who defects on promises accepted in good faith.

We absolutely and entirely condemn the terrorist actions of organizations Hataf and Red Halo and will take all military measures to control and neutralize the operatives and assets of these organizations on Terra. As long as terrorism exists on Terra, it is the duty and obligation of the Liberation Front to stamp it out and to protect all Terrans on this planet. We do not want or require outside assistance in this regard. All foreign military personnel actively engaged in operations on Terran soil or in Terran space are henceforth immediately ordered to withdraw without other conditions, beginning within forty-eight hours and completing withdrawal within one week. This mandate will be enforced militarily if not observed within forty-eight hours.

We will not compromise. Terra is for Terrans. No other government shall impose its rule upon Terrans; this is oppression and infringement upon our sovereignty. Any nation-state or faction wishing to recognize our sovereignty both on record and in deed and to establish diplomatic relations with our people may send its Ambassador or duly appointed diplomatic representative to request an audience with the Liberation Front in Wing City. These nation-states shall be permitted to establish an embassy in Wing City and to maintain a nominal official presence for diplomatic purposes only. No foreign nation-state or faction shall be permitted to engage in military or official action on Terra or in Wing City without the permission of the Liberation Front, under threat of military enforcement from the Liberation Front.

We will hold open, free, and fair elections for executive and legislative authorities in two month's time, in the last week of May, the fifth month of the solar year, Common Era Year 2011. Candidates wishing to submit their names for the positions of Prime Minister, or the essential Ministers of Defence, Finance, Justice, Foreign Affairs, Social Services, and Development, should declare candidacy with the Liberation Front in the next two weeks. With the establishment of a first Parliament, I will step down as Terra's leader, and the Liberation Front will be reorganized into a militia to continue to defend and protect Terran interests from the infringement of foreign governments. All Terrans, except those accused of high treason against the Liberation Front and Terran sovereignty, who are of their species' generally recognized age of majority, but no foreign nationals or officials of foreign governments, may vote in these elections.

As the original guardians of Terra, the T403 and its governing body shall be permitted to retain its own sovereignty in its existing land holdings. Nation-states and their respective governments which exist solely on Terra shall be permitted to retain their current holdings and sovereign status. The rest of Terra is ours and ours alone. Terra for the Terrans! Terrans, stay strong. We will rebuild. We will re-establish ourselves as the commercial, cultural, and political center of the Multiverse free of foreign influence or rule. Our new government shall be created by Terrans, of Terrans, and for Terrans.

Official Statement issued by the Aschen High Space Command

The Economic sanctions were a response to a threat made by the man, Balthazar winchester, to end the lives of billions of innocent civilians. Currently we uphold our bargain, but in light of the recent events, the decision has been made by Parliament, with Miles Hagan's agreeance, that all Tech Con personnel will cease operations to rebuild Terra immediately. Additionally all installations erected in the relief effort will be destroyed and crumbled to allow the Terrans to rebuild their world from scratch.

Additionally, the Terran-Liberation Front, complacent in it's harboring of terrorists, will have exactly twelve hours to explain itself to the Aschen, to justify it's aggressive actions against our Confederation before we resort to a declaration of war.

We are respecting your sovereignty, however you still have rules to abide by in the international community, if you choose not to abide by those rules, and assist terrorists, and those whom would do harm to innocent people, then you will suffer the consequences, like that of a sovereign entity, up too, and not limited to, the commensure of military operations to dismantle, occupy, and otherwise annex the world of Terra back into the Aschen Confederation. Additionally we will employ every weapon of war at our disposal, should aggression continue and escalate to war.

We're going to give you one last chance, the sanctions will be lifted, pending vote from Parliament. However if Terra continues to harbor terrorists, act with aggression, we will act, with the full force of every weapon we are able.

You're big boys now, act like it.

To address the T-403 If you commence any hostile actions against us, we will have no choice but to respond in kind. We're upholding our word, but threats against our people make it difficult, I will warn you, if you do not take action to control your people, and to weed out those who would do us harm, we will take the torch, and act.

Consider this your final warning, the Confederation has bigger issues to concern themselves with, rather then your backwater pissant planet.
