Plot
It was April 16th, of 2009 when it happened. There'd been reports of people with severe bite wounds on the news, but no one thought much of it. In fact the public had been told to watch out for rabid dogs. In reality it was a false broadcasting to cover up the ignorance of the authorities and doctors. They weren't stupid, simply never thought it was possible. However, on that fateful day everyone was proven wrong. The dead walked again, and we weren't ready to welcome them home.
Setting
This role play will take place in Chicago, a subway station to be exact. It will start like all zombie stories do. One bite. From there it will spread quickly infecting everyone it can. You will play one of those lucky individuals caught in the McCormick Metra at the time. The time coincidently happened to be 4:37PM, when many people were on their way home. Perfect for the outbreak.
The Zombies
A zombies ability reflects wholly upon who they were before infection. Someone fast would still be rather fast as an undead, merely more aggressive. As such there will be smart zombies, strong ones, and even flirtatious ones. However as the social functions of their brains have shut down none of that matters. All zombies, no matter the characteristics will attack any humans they see, smell and hear.
Not much is known, but you can follow the general knowledge that horror movies and video games have supplied us with. A well placed bullet in the head should drop them. In fact anything placed in the head ought to drop them.
Infection doesn't take very long, normally a few minutes. However this can be sped up by more and more transfers of the fluids, be they spit, blood, or sexual. There is a slight chance of avoiding infection if you immediately amputate the bitten limb, if it's a limb. However, the blood that will gush out will attract the living dead and likely result in your death, be it by their infection, or ours.

What I say happens, no debating it. If you honestly think it's unfair PM me.
If you start doing something extremely outrageous, don't expect to survive long.
This is a realistic role play, so play realistically. No one kills zombies with a claymore except Mad Jack.
This is casual, so all you have to do is turn the red X green and checkmark shaped and your post is fine.
Stat System
I've implemented a stat system. This is mainly for me, as I will not be taking part in the role play as a character, but the being that controls the environment and your enemies. Of course that means your life is in my hands as well.
Stats are very simple. There are five categories [SEAPI - Pronounced Sea Pie!]
Strength: How strong your character is. Also how hard they can his something, or someone.
Endurance: Coinciding with health. This applies to how much non-zombie inflicted damage your character can handle.
Agility: How fast and well, agile your character is. Higher levels here mean fancy things.
Perception: The 5 senses. This will determine how often you notice things, and what you notice.
Intelligence: How smart your character is, when it comes to complex things at least. Electronics are a specialty for the smart character.
Each stat will start with one point in it, and you will have 20 to distribute as you see fit. Making a total of 25 when all stats are spent. Looking over your stats you may notice that some are unusually high, or low. Don't worry, after every day you survive you get one more stat point to add to your character, allowing you to grow with the role play. It will not be my responsability to tell you when you've earned a stat point. I will make a post saying when the day has changed and who has survived along with where they are. If you don't redistribute the stats before another encounter, it's too late and you'll have to wait until you're safe.
As for how they each work
1 means you will be lacking a lot in the area
2-4 is below average
5 is average
6-8 are above average
9-10 are the peak of human ability
