Yeah, i was thinking that too. It would make sense that dragons aren't the only mythical creature in the world.

How about the main races are elves and humans, but there are sub races like orcs, dwarves, centaur ect.

so we just need to determine a time period now (compared to earth) We need to choose some where between 1312-1660 (My vote is 1655, 40 years before the salem witch trials)

Are there going to be restrictions on the races that can be dragon riders? i'd say maybe just elves and humans.

i think orcs should have their own like Demonic looking dragons...you know like just have a breed of Corrupted dragons that the Orcs ride....and i'd like to have a Different breed of dragon other then just the European style, sorry but i'm more of an Eastern kinda guy ^^ always have been X3.

no thats not east enough X3 i'm taking those full bodied Japanese ones like the Wvyerns and Wyrms from Japan X3 the evil looking ones and then the gentler looking ones but i'm all for this rp no matter the dragon i'd just like a different breed other then just one that'd just take away the creativity of the rp ^^

Yeah, I'd like there to be different species of dragons, but nothing too drastic from the base form. I think the dragons could generally have the same shape (either 2 or 4 legs and then wings) and then horns and length of the dragon and what not could be different.
Just an idea since some of us want different types of dragons and others don't seem to like the idea as much. ^_^

Will the color of the dragon affect its ranking? Like Golden Dragons are the most powerful, etc. like the tradition?

ok we could do that, when your dragon get REALLY powerful, it's color changes to GOld, but besides that, your dragon is your choice of color.

Here are two time Idea's
(compared to earth)
Mainland- 1513
Forest/snow island- 1534
tropical island- tribal w/ mainland settelments

OR

ALL 1513


Dragons- The bond is like Eragon, but dragons differ from European to Asian.

Lands- one large land mass (with deserts, grasslands, tundra's, ect) And a few small islands? (one tropical and one snowey/foresty) (DOES ANY ONE HAVE A PROGRAM THAT COULD MAKE A SIMPLE MAP?)
( We still need to come up with names for the lands, I vote "The Republic of Vendrin" for the forest/snow island)



Plot-A tyrannical king who refuses to abide by the Magna Carta. He hires mercenary dragon riders to eliminate the riders who oppose his rule, or show no standing (neutral riders) so that no one stands in his way. (BUT LETS CALL THE MAGAN CARTA SOMETHING ELSE, IT'S RIPPING OFF UK HISTORY TOO MUCH, BUT THE CONENT WE WILL STILL KEEP)

I vote for all 1513, though. It might get confusing if there's different times in different places.

Question: Will our dragons be a seperate character in itself or will they be more so like an NPC as far as writing goes?

Well I like different just just look at our world, in 1750, the US was UK immigrants and native americans, Europe was advanced, asia was catching up to Europe, India and Africa was tribal, the middle east- was still basically in the stone age. Just Just bring diversity.

BUt if 5/7 of you want JUST 1513, that's what we will have. Once I get conformation from at least 5 of you, I will start the OOC thread.
