The End? {Shounen-ai RP} ( )

Postby BlueRoseJibril on Thu Oct 02, 2008 6:32 pm

{Okay, this is as the title states a Shounen-ai RP I’m not sure if I can really call it Shouta I don’t think so. My character is 17 and I’d prefer if the other male was in his early 20’s (20-23)… but if not that’s fine I just kind of like that little age jump. -shrug- I won‘t lie, the circumstances are a little cliché, but I don‘t care. Deal with it.}

Adrian sighed and wrapped his arms around himself. He was shivering and had been for quite some time. The wind was blowing fiercely not to mention it was snowing. He’d run away from home only days before. It was the middle of winter and he swore he was going to freeze to death if he didn’t find somewhere to take shelter in soon.
He wrapped his white cloak around himself as he walked, all around him was a white flurry the cloak causing him to blend in with his surroundings. Not exactly a good thing in his condition. The boy trudged through the snow boots breaking the surface of the crisp, packed snow. It was several inches deep but considerably solid which kept him from sinking into it, though occasionally his foot went straight through and he had to pull it back up. This happened to be somewhat of a task in his weakened state.
Where he lived was a rather desolate place but he found himself coming up upon a warehouse district, most of which he knew were abandoned warehouses, this would have to do for him until the snow storm passed and he regained some of his strength. However, he felt that he really couldn’t go on, he was cold, hungry, and felt like his heart was going to stop.
Adrian managed to get to one of the warehouse and used what little strength he had left to force the door open. He collapsed as he walked inside. He managed to pull himself just out of the way of the door that he had managed to open up just enough for him to slip inside. He didn’t have the strength to close it however so cold air was slowly seeping into the warehouse but he found himself too tired to even try to close it. He simply curled up allowing his cloak to envelop as much of his body as it could before he passed out.

((James is about 22 years old, but he looks 19))

James walked along the icy road. His Timberland boots crunched when he made contact with the snowy areas. All he wore was a black hooded sweat shirt on top of a black long sleeve shirt and a pair of sweats underneath his dark blue jeans. Looking, up he huffed. Things had been so hard for him lately. His mother died from a heart attack two weeks ago and he wasn't able to make the funeral because he was getting drunk in his apartment. A month before his mother's sudden death he had turned his back on his gang members. They had been initiating new recruits and the assignment was to kill the first kid you see. James' younger brother had been killed by a stay bullet when he was 12 years old. They had been twins. Shawn had been killed right in front of him. Naturally, due to the death of his younger brother, James had been against it and voiced his thoughts to the others. The leader, Maddog, told him that he was either in or out. James had turned and left the gang's side never looking back. Maddog had been furious and yelled after him, "If ever see you again, I swear you're dead Jay."

James stopped and glanced at his surroundings. He realized he was in the warehouse district. Not wanting to return home so soon, James hung a left and continued down the street farther from his apartment complex. An abandoned warehouse was further down the road. It reminded James of the warehouse that housed his gang. As he drew nearer to the building he noticed that the door was slightly ajar. He reached the door and stared through the crack into the darkness. James brought his hand up and opened the door fully. A surprised look was on his face that soon vanished. Walking closer to the boy he took in the thin attire. There was no blood. He smirked down at the boy. The kid was kind of cute. James moved his foot and jabbed the youth's body with his large boot and waited for a response from the unconscious teen.
So much to say
in our last hour.
Not enough time
to recite our goodbyes.
This won't last,
it can't possibly,
so I turn toward the sun
and leave you in the dust.
This is not love
at least. . .not for us.

It took him several moments to stir even slightly. "Nn... w-what..?" His voice quivered from the cold. Having roused ever so slightly he found himself trying to force himself into a tighter ball for warmth. To be honest he hadn't even fully registered that there was a person there at all, just that something had nudged him.
Adrian's breathing was somewhat slow, every time he breathed in it hurt a little since his throat was a little raw from breathing so much cold, ragged air. His eyes flickered between opened and closed a few times before focusing on the fact that there was someone before him. He couldn't exactly look up to see the face, or rather he couldn't be pained to look up. He was much too tired. So instead all he saw were a man's boots. Even this took him a few moments to process and he found himself somehow afraid. He didn't move though, he just had a look of surprise plastered on his face now, perhaps a mix between surprise and terror. He couldn't be sure exactly what was going through his head.
Adrian was trying to find his tongue as to speak but he found that words suddenly didn't want to form. He forced the words "Who are you?" to escape though and he was pleased with that. His body trembled from the cold. It was obvious he'd been out this ungodly weather much too long and he had been lucky to have come across the unlocked warehouse.

When the boy roused he looked utterly innocent in James' eyes. The boy seemed to only notice his booted foot as far as Jay could see. As the boy trembled a frown found it's way to James' face. The older wondered how long the apparently freezing youth had been out in the cold. The thought of the boy being homeless popped into James' head and immediately receeded. Had the boy been homeless he would only have a tattered short sleeve shirt and he would have already been dead. That was what almost happened to him when he was thirteen. James had been kicked out of the orphanage when his brother was no longer keeping him in line. His focus reverted back to the small looking boy in front of him. James had heard a faint, "Who are you?", slip past the boys lips.

"Name is James, but you can call me Jay...", James trailed off softly. He could feel the boy's fear...after all he'd been in a gang before, he knew when people were scared. "Hey kid, mind tellin' me why you're in a warehouse and practically freezin' to death?", Jay asked. He had to know, he just had to. He wanted to know why a kid like this was in the warehouse district in an abandoned building, alone, when he was so darn gorgeous and looked like he'd never been away from home before.

He blinked a few times trying to focus. He was having trouble thinking he was so cold. "...James..?" Adrian didn't seem to actually have a question in mind he was just testing the name on his tongue. Words seemed to be coming a little easier now. He took a deep breath and the air burned as it came down his throat but he ignored it. He forced himself to sit up, at least then he could think a little bit more clearly he hoped.
"I ran..." he paused, "I ran away." Part of him was urged to divulge details but in the end decided against it. He didn't want to admit that his father had been an abusive alcoholic for years, that he'd been putting up with him for years just for the sake of his mother. Though, his mother had left at least a year ago by now. She had offered to take him with her but he didn't want to burden her. Adrian figured someone had to deal with his father. He found himself unable to after awhile ago. That's why he ran. He couldn't bring himself to admit to the fact that he had various bruises on his body which pained him more than the cold did.
This wasn't the first time he'd ran away. It was just that other time he had actually had somewhere to go. But that hadn't lasted long at all. He'd been staying at a friends, it wasn't so much that he'd worn out his welcome there as it was that he began feeling uncomfortable. He wasn't sure why though, perhaps it was just that house had been filled with so many other kids around his age, one of which he'd found himself gaining feelings for. He just felt wrong about that. So he'd returned to his father. Returned to the abuse. But three days ago.. that was when he decided he didn't care what happened and that he was getting out. So this was where he wound up.

James was shocked. Who wouldn't be? A perfectly normal looking kid saying that he ran away from home. Was he EMO? This caused jay to become confused. It didn't look like the boy had problems when going by his physical appearance. Thoughts bombarded him and he came to the conclusion, he could not see all of the boy's body. The boy was covered by the cloak he had with him. Which, although, it seemed warm it most likely wasn't. There were also many emotional scars that could be rendering the kid. James realized that he had no idea what the kid's home life was like. So he could not acurately judge the situation with the little information he had.

Jay made a swift decision. He'd find out everything he needed about the boy when he got him to a warm shelter. There was only one problem... How was he going to get the boy to come home with him.
'Baby steps.', thought James deciding to find out the youth's name first. "Oh...", Jay trailed off and waited for the kid to say his name. A minute went by. James had always lacked the virtue of patience, his brother had been the twin to get that while he was left with hardheadedness. "Kid...unless you want me to call you that, you should probably tell me your name.", Jay said with a slight chuckle, trying not to scare the boy.

Adrian pulled the cloak tighter around himself he was obviously nervous. He didn't know exactly why he was nervous, he guessed he had just expected that when he came upon this place he would have just died and no one would have known of it. It didn't really matter now though. There was a person here now. There was 'James' here now and it was simply wrong for him to be ignoring him as he was. He didn't mean to though, he'd just never been good about talking with people.
He took a small breath exhaling slowly before he finally started to speak. "M-My name is Adrian." he said this at length feeling even more awkward now that he had said it. He looked James over again with his eyes trying to assess the man before him but somehow found it difficult. Perhaps he was just tired. Or maybe it was the mix of being tired and cold. That was probably it, cold alone always disoriented him in the first place but being damn near freezing for so long now and without much sleep to speak of he couldn't think straight at all. "...Sorry." Adrian didn't have much of a reason for apologizing but he had a habit of doing so needlessly.

Adrian... James looked the boy over and thought the name fit perfectly. Adrian. He had noticed when Adrian pulled the thin cloak closer. It was obvious the young Adrian's body couldn't take the climate for much longer. James shifted his weight to his left foot and tilted his head to the right. A habit he had developed to think clearly. 'There isn't anyone who would care if I brought him home with me. Although, he might not feel comfortable going home with a stranger that could be a homicidal maniac. But... I just have to do something.', Jay made up his mind that he would ask the boy and then pick up from there. 'Baby steps.', he reminded himself. "Hey, you look cold and I'm pretty sure you don't have anywhere else to go right? Why don't you come home with me? It's close, I promise.", Jay outstretched a hand toward the boy offering shelter and a warm place to sleep. Jay looked into the boys eyes and couldn't help but think that Adrian’s eyes were beautiful.

He bit his lip when James posed such a question, in a way he had expected. In fact, he'd already been putting some thought into the idea just in case the male had offered. In his current condition he found he really care much about the details of James personality and what would become of him. He understood quite clearly that he could go with James or he could stay here and freeze to death.
He let his teeth release his lower lip as he finished thinking over things once more. He looked away his nerves continuing to get the best of him. Was it really nerves though, he wasn't so sure. Perhaps it was fear. Not of James but of his emotions. He was confused as to what he was feeling right now. Except.. he did know what he was feeling. Adrian just wasn't sure it was appropriate. "I--I'll go with you."
He grabbed the other male's hand using it to help himself get to his feet and yet he still found himself losing his footing slightly but was sure to release James' hand just to make sure he didn't pull him down with him if he were to fall. He quickly regained his balance though, if not for his years of dancing chances are he'd be sitting on his ass again after falling.
Adrian grasped James' hand again, he wasn't sure why. He took a moment to think on that and decided it was for a sense of comfort, a sense of reassurance that he would be okay now. 'This can be.. a new beginning. he thought with a small smile.

A soft smile settled on James' face. The boy had regrasped his hand after his short fumble and, though the hand was cold against his flesh, the thought of his hand giving Adrian warmth made him giddy. He looked at the cloak covered kid and gripped his hand tightly before making his way out the door and toward his apartment complex. Half way to the complex his hand felt like it was beginning to get frostbite. James reluctantly released Adrian's hand. He reached behind his head, grasped the thick cloth, and lifted it up and over his head. Once the hooded sweatshirt was in his hands he held it out to the boy. Only his baggy black sweater remained covering his torso. "Here, Adrian. I think you need this more than I do." He meet the boys eyes again and waited for him to take it and put it on.

He was glad that the other hadn't had a problem with him holding his hand. Then again the other couldn't know his orientation so he couldn't have taken offense if he were homophobic. So in that false sense of security he couldn't help but smile for the time being. He might as well enjoy the time while he could in case he were to accidentally given himself away at some point and the other disagreed with him. Adrian was a bit sad when James released his hand but he understood. His eyes went wide when the other handed him his sweatshirt, he hadn't expected that. People throughout his life had rarely been kind though there had been instances. Adrian simply didn't expect a near stranger to be that way. Then again, the male had invited him to come to his residence and that was nice enough. He grasped the sweatshirt for a few moments before actually putting it on. Adrian smiled for just a few moments, he wasn't completely sure why but he did. It must have just been having someone actually care about his well being that made him do that, there was little else that could have at the moment.

James noticed every smile Adrian made. He Knew that, regardless of just meeting Adrian, he was developing feelings for him. James had found out he was Bi when he was in the orphanage at the age of ten. He didn't mind females, but he swung more towards the guys. There were several other kids in the orphanage that he had a crush on back then. He never said anything to his crushes because they would always do something to his younger brother that changed his feelings for them. When his brother died he had killed his dreams for a happy life with his soul mate. James always believed that his heart had resided in his twin. As soon as Shawn died he put on a facade hidding his real personality, his emotions. Jay hid his true feelings and prevented ever getting too attached to anyone. Yet, in a matter of minutes this one boy was changing him. Without even trying.
James felt the sweater be taken from his hand and watched as Adrian put it on. Jay shuddered inwardly, not wanting Adrian to give the sweater back. He grasped the boys hand and began walking once again. Not once did he stop. It was beginning to become too cold and he wanted to get to the warmth of his home. He came to a huge building that was about four miles from the warehouse district. James walked inside to a door with a code pad on the handle. After typing in the code he walked up to the door of the elevator pressed the button and enter. His hand was still gripped tightly in Adrian's. James could help but think their hands fit well together, his enveloping Adrian's smaller.

Adrian was glad the other had taken his hand again he just liked the feeling of someones hand grasping his. It was warm and comforting somehow. He was glad when they finally reached their destination he wouldn't have to deal with the cold now. After three days of living out in the cold like this it was a welcome change, one he hoped didn't change any time soon. With that in mind he hoped he didn't annoy the other at all he knew that would just land him back on the streets and he knew what the streets had to offer. "I hope you don't mind me..." he murmured, he was quite obviously the quiet type. He hadn't always been but he'd changed over the years due to various circumstances. Adrian felt odd enough having asked that question at all.

The mummbled, "I hope you don't mind me...", caught James off guard. Turning to his left James smirked and said,"It's no problem kid." The elevator PINGED and he stepped out and made a quick right. The tiled floor squeeked with every step. This time though, James didn't seem to mind. His thoughts ran rampant. That was saying something. Jay hadn't thought this much in his whole life. He was so concerned with what could go wrong, what would happen that would cause him to loose this silent company, he didn't pay any attention to where he was going and he tripped. In reflex he let go of Adrian's hand and tried to bring his hands up to catch himself. He fell face first, though he managed to avoid any pain to his head. As quickly as possible he leapt up grasped Adrians had and pretended it never happened. He walked the rest of the way to his apartment door and unlocked it holding it open for the Adrian. "Here we are..."

He felt more reassured now though he was still trying to assess the other, he wasn't quite sure what he thought of him yet other than the fact that he thought he was very kind. Adrian felt that the other was a confident sort of person, something he had never been so in a way he admired that quality in a person. Then James fell and he was a bit surprised, he hadn't expected that to happen at all. "A-are you alright?" he questioned as the male gasped his hand again. He figured he must have been given that but he'd learned it was always a good thing to ask. He smiled slightly when they reached his home and stepped inside taking a few moments to think. "Hey um... thank you." This was probably one of the first times he'd spoken without any sense of hesitation.

"No problem...Adrian.", James said with a smile, loving the way the name rolled off his tongue. He took in the boy's looks and cheered in his head. James still had trouble believing Adrian was going to be rooming with him. A thought registered in his mind when he realized that he had forgotten to get the mail on the way in. He remained outside, across from Adrian. 'I really don't want to leave him alone, but the job could have written back by now. I'll just have to be quick.', James decided. His attention reverted back to Adrian. "Hey, I have to get my mail, but I'll be right back okay?", James informed the younger.

"Oh, okay." He nodded slightly watching him for a few moments just observing, he did a lot of that. He'd always been that way, perhaps a bit more talkative before but truly always an observer. Even when his parents fought he knew it was best not to get involved. He had on occasion but it had never ended well. Somehow he found himself missing her mother still even though he knew she had to be happier now. Happy to not have to take care of a child anymore despite the age he was at he was still a responsibly and he understood that. She had to be happy to not be around his father though. She had deserved and still does deserve a lot better then that man and now she had that opportunity. At the very least he hoped his mother was happy and he hoped also that he'd made the right decision by not going with her. His mind continued to wonder about his home life, both then and after his mother left.
He blamed himself for several of the arguments, he hadn't been the perfect child, he'd tried a lot but he made a lot of mistakes. Over the years his grades had been just decent in most subjects and only excelled in a few and his father never seemed proud of him at all. Adrian's father had constantly constantly called him stupid and hated that his mother was paying for his dance lessons, God did his father hate that. He was under the impression that he was 'raising a fag' or at least that was how he constantly put it. It hurt him in a way but it rarely mattered as long as his mother had been there. But then she left and hence the lessons stopped but the hatred his father had for him did nothing more than increase. The occasional physical argument turned into something more constant. That was why he'd left the first time and the reason he'd left this time too, only this time he hadn't cared what happened to him. At least not until he realized he was going to die. But he was safe now, he just had to keep that in mind.

James was very reluctant to leave the boy alone, not because he thought he would steel something, but because of how he had almost froze to death. "If you're still cold you can turn up the heat. It's behind the door.", James said as he shut the door. Walking down the hall James checked the floor for what tripped him. When he found nothing he deducted that he either tripped over his own two feet or a ghost in the complex that suddenly wished to mess with him before finally crossing over. James stopped mid-stride and thought that the man that had been murdered could have done so. 'That could actually be true...', thought James. The older man had always hated him for no apparent reason. Resuming his walk to the mailboxes James thought that the boy had some extreme luck. Which was more than he could say for himself. If he hadn't found Adrian when he had the boy would have surely died in that abandoned warehouse. Alone. With no one by his side. Jay walked up to the mailbox. He took out his keys to opened the box, grabbed the mail and headed back to the room that he now shared with Adrian.

He really hoped he wasn't going to become a nuisance to the older male. He sighed lightly and rather than actually finding a place to sit he simply slid himself down against the wall and pulled his knees to his chest. He felt like he was going to be trouble for James, he didn't know why he just always felt like he was troubling people with his being with them. He knew his friend Jem had felt that way it could have only been more awkward when Jem found out that he was dating his brother Colbalt. Adrian wasn't sure why he was thinking about that now, it was long since over in his mind, that whole relationship had been rather short lived in fact.
He found himself not caring much what was around him at the moment, he occasionally took moments to look around but otherwise he found himself staring at his shoes absentminded-ly as he waited. He felt strange being in James' home for some reason, probably because he knew he didn't belong there but he wasn't going to complain when he didn't have any other place he could go now. If he was going to complain it would be after this wretched snow storm had long since passed.

James trecked up to his door silently. He had forgotten that he didn't have that much food in his fridge. Quickly disregarding the fact that he was low on food James already knew what he was going to do. Most of the food would be given to Adrian and he'll eat just a small portion. After all Jay had no idea how long Adrian was on the streets. The boy could be starving for all he knew. James reached out his hand, graped the handle and turned it. He pulled the door open and was met with a surprising sight. Adrian was siting in the hall on the floor staring at his shoes. "Hey, Adrian, what are you doing down there?", James asked in a confused tone.
