Why don't you just have your character be a new recruit of the resstance. This way you'd already be set up in the rebellion (but you just got there really) and be a step ahead of the rest of us.

We are currently waiting for the resistance 2nd in command and the king to post.
We may need to recast the king. I hope not though.
