Question... what of the characters from the previous role-play? Since I remember last time I simply took over the role of Gabriel from someone else - but now I'm looking at minions, not guardians.

Hey Maestro : ) The same applies for the minions. New ones take over the old ones. However, to make it abit more sinister, we could say that the new minions killed off the former ones to attain the position they are at now. Or something along those lines.

Well I will reserve 'The Assassin' then if possible. Is there any guidelines I should be aware of; any specific job or role I need to take while playing this character?

I've reserved it for you. And I suppose the specific jobs are according to the titles which in your case is "The Assassin". Skallagrim could give you a better idea of what your minion's duty is.

And for the rest of the Guardians, you may post as though you're returning from your worlds through the silver gates. Basically, each Guardian has a stone that when placed in the gateway, opens up the portal to Arilt.

Each of the minions have a title, that title reflects their respective use to the dark lord and what he employs each for.
The writer who cares more about words than about characters, action, setting, atmosphere is unlikely to create a vivid and continuous dream; he gets in his own way too much; in his poetic drunkenness, he can't tell the cart- and its cargo- from the horse.

Okay I will keep that in mind. I’ve been busy lately so I'll dedicate some time to start up a character soon.

well it looks like you've won without a battle, as all the guardians seem to have died.
