The Invictus' history goes back to the crusades. During the 1600s, they were officially formed by a man called the Oro in order to combat the forces of the Christians across the holy land. Because of the Invictus' appeal and the numbers they were able to gain in a short amount of time, they were able reclaim the holy land for the Muslims. As the years passed, their influence and numbers increased, expanding Islam to other planets and even realms. Today they masquerade under the guise of a criminal syndicate that idolizes the first Invictus and as a mercenary company, despite them being the real thing.

Many members of the Invictus are not stock Humans, most of them being some form of demon or other paranormal beings. This makes them far more dangerous in battle, even without their guns and swords. Primarily they are made up of Humans and Strigoi Viu, though different races and species join their ranks. They are identified by the colors red and black, usually seen sporting red bandannas and riding around on motorcycles, in vans, and 4-door Sedans. They also wear clothing that sports the Invictus insignia, this allows them to be identified easier when outside of their territory.

Their style of dress tends to vary from individual of course, but members of the Invictus tend to have the appearance of trained guerrillas or special forces commandos. Donning fatigues when available, some even like to wear suits or full armor. Others prefer street clothes, either to blend in or feel comfortable. They usually wear light Invictus chest body armor and are usually armed with various weapons. The most common among the Invictus are Glock-17 .45s and FNP 90s. The armor was made from an unknown alloy that made it more than capable to withstand all types of damage, and the weapons were made of the same alloy, as were the bullets. Though the bullets also had clear tips, within the tips of the bullets was this lightly glowing highly acidic and highly toxic teal liquid. When the bullets come into contact with a person the tips of the bullets explode in a sense, sending the teal liquid out to burn the flesh and bone completely, also infecting the wound with it's toxic properties within minutes.
