The Invictus Video Logs ( )

September, 24th, 2011.

Munroe Auto Repair, Wing City, Terra.

The recording would begin in Phinx's garage as she and several other people stood around a muscle car with it's hood open. After a second the audio would sync up and Phinx would begin to speak. "I can't be racist, I slept with a white guy before." She said to the other men and women. "No, you're kind of racist." A man in a black jumpsuit said to Phinx, "Prove it." She responded, "Yesterday you said, and I quote, 'Did anyone else ever notice that white people are always shooting up schools?' Remember that?"

"I remember that." A woman added, "That was when Mary here also said something about expecting the 'little A-Rab kids' to blow up the school." The woman said to the others, "Totally doesn't sound like me."

Moments later the video feed would end.
"Are you professional moron, or just a gifted amateur?"

September 26th, 2011.

11:00 AM. 6453 Sol Avenue, Wing City, Terra.

The recording would begin in the living room of a Terran home. Sitting on the floor of the living room would be Phinx and Stryfe, both of whom were holding game controllers despite the TV being off. They also wore headsets, obviously very ready to play an online game. "Alright, you ready, Fatin?" Phinx asked the woman beside her, "Yes, I am. Never played this before, what is it?" Stryfe asked, "Call Of Duty. It's a great game. You'll do fine since you seem to know the buttons." Phinx assured Stryfe before turning on the console and the television. After a few moments their game would begin and the two would start playing.

After another minute Phinx would raise an eyebrow and then glance over to Stryfe, "I thought you didn't know how to play." The woman said to Stryfe, "Oh, no, I just never played this specific game." Stryfe responded, "I'm pretty good at it. And... I just killed most of the other team. This is far too easy, do these people have any combat experience?" Stryfe asked Phinx,"And this man is using insults I've never heard before. Sir, please don't use that kind of language, children play this game." Stryfe said, tilting her head in confusion before looking over at Phinx, "I'm not really good at your American slang so please, tell me, what is a 'knob jockey'?"

"I'll tell you later..."

October 11th, 2011.

10:00 AM. Invictus Headquarters Briefing Room, Somewhere Beneath Terra.

The recording would begin as a man dressed in a military fatigues was speaking to several Invictus soldiers including Phinx. "Also, I planned something to give you all incentive to go out and recruit. Whoever gets twenty recruits in the next 36 hours wins a brand new..." The man would pause, "Please say car..." An Invictus soldier whispered, "He's probably going to say toaster..."

"A brand new freezer. It's chrome, makes ice, has a built in HD television and it's spacious enough to hold three gazelles if you wanted it too." The man announced to the room. Phinx turned to the Invictus soldiers closest to her with a grin on her face, "Getting that will be a piece of cake, people love me, they'll happily come on down and see what we're about just to be close to me." Phinx told them, "Boss Lady has an ego it seems." A soldier would say, "You aren't getting that. I'm getting it for my living room. I can watch sports and pack all of my beers in there. It's made for a guy like me."

"No." Phinx said, "It's going in my garage, stored with nothing but venison. Deer meat all day." She said, "Where do you get dear meat? I'd love to find out where they sell that." Another soldier asked, "I hunt. What? You think black people don't hunt? We do. We play hockey too. We're taking it over. Just watch." Phinx said, turning back to pay attention to the rest of the announcements.

"Wait... she's black?"

"There's no way to really tell..."

"I know right..."

After a few seconds the recording would come to an end.

November 4th, 2011.

11:47 AM. Invictus High Command Meeting Room, Invictus Headquarters, Somewhere Beneath Terra.

The video would start with Stryfe and several of the Invictus' leaders sitting at or standing around a large chrome table in a white room that seemed to be sealed off from the rest of the building to preserve privacy. Most would be talking amongst themselves until Stryfe would stand and then begin to speak.

"First order of business," She would begin, "Raphael McGregor. We have a bit to discuss about him." Stryfe said to the other Invictus in the room. "There isn't much to discuss." Phinx told her, "If you ask me, we should keep our distance. I mean, even if you become all friendly with him that doesn't mean that all of those Aschen assholes are going to be friendly with us." She said, receiving several agreeing nods from the other Invictus leaders.

"This isn't a politics thing. He seems to be in a bad place." Stryfe told the others, "That ain't our fuckin' problem. We ain't therapists and shoulders to cry on. We're soldiers and businessman." Maddox interrupted, she and The Commander standing up almost simultaneously. "You agree with her, Amir?" Stryfe asked, turning her eyes on The Commander. "I have to say that I do. You know my thoughts on them and the locals. We should build an army that rivals even the greatest. We should be a new era of Spartans and the like. We don't need allies, we only need power."

"Kroger would want for us to have more allies." Stryfe added, "But Kroger isn't here, is he?" The Commander asked, looking to the others in the room for their answers to his rhetorical question. "Besides, Kroger was an idiot for thinking that he could achieve peace through peaceful means. We all know force is needed to achieve something such as peace."

"I can't agree with that." Phinx said, now standing from her seat. "You know of my past in South Central. Some of us Crips from my neighborhood tried doing that at one time. The whole 'fighting a war for peace' thing. It ain't turn out well for anybody except maybe me and a few others, but that's only because we joined you or the army and that's only because we hit rock bottom." She explained, "Some ended up on drugs, dead, in comas, paralyzed, and so on. We got peace, but those who we beat came back in force, new enemies with far more skill came at us. I'm with Stryfe."

"We should be careful not to draw more lines in the sand than we need to." Sonia added, "There is enough of a divide as is. I also think that this meeting should be adjourned for the time being. There is much to do."

"Agreed. Meeting adjourned." Stryfe said, nodding to the other Invictus leaders as the recording came to an end.

November 7th, 2011.

6:38 PM. Downtown Wing City, Terra.

The recording would begin inside Maddox's limousine as it cruised through the downtown area of the city. Seated in the limo was Maddox, The Commander, and Colin Horne. The three of them nodding to each other before they actually began to speak. "So, what do we do about her?" The Commander asked the other two, "About Fatin?" Maddox asked, "We remove her, of course. The Invictus can't flourish with one such as her in charge. We can expand, take this world and others as our own." She added.

"And how do you plan on doing that? She has an army very loyal to Kroger and his ideas which she keeps alive to some extent. They won't just turn on her right now. She's displayed strength." Colin said to Maddox, "I have a bigger army if your people will join me." Maddox responded, looking to both Colin and The Commander. "What do you mean?" Colin asked Maddox, raising an eyebrow. "You'll see soon enough." Maddox answered, nodding to a warehouse the limousine was approaching.

"Let's just say that I met someone not long ago who gave me something I could... use for my bigger plans."

With those words the recording would come to an end.
