11:47 AM. Invictus High Command Meeting Room, Invictus Headquarters, Somewhere Beneath Terra.
The video would start with Stryfe and several of the Invictus' leaders sitting at or standing around a large chrome table in a white room that seemed to be sealed off from the rest of the building to preserve privacy. Most would be talking amongst themselves until Stryfe would stand and then begin to speak.
"First order of business," She would begin, "Raphael McGregor. We have a bit to discuss about him." Stryfe said to the other Invictus in the room. "There isn't much to discuss." Phinx told her, "If you ask me, we should keep our distance. I mean, even if you become all friendly with him that doesn't mean that all of those Aschen assholes are going to be friendly with us." She said, receiving several agreeing nods from the other Invictus leaders.
"This isn't a politics thing. He seems to be in a bad place." Stryfe told the others, "That ain't our fuckin' problem. We ain't therapists and shoulders to cry on. We're soldiers and businessman." Maddox interrupted, she and The Commander standing up almost simultaneously. "You agree with her, Amir?" Stryfe asked, turning her eyes on The Commander. "I have to say that I do. You know my thoughts on them and the locals. We should build an army that rivals even the greatest. We should be a new era of Spartans and the like. We don't need allies, we only need power."
"Kroger would want for us to have more allies." Stryfe added, "But Kroger isn't here, is he?" The Commander asked, looking to the others in the room for their answers to his rhetorical question. "Besides, Kroger was an idiot for thinking that he could achieve peace through peaceful means. We all know force is needed to achieve something such as peace."
"I can't agree with that." Phinx said, now standing from her seat. "You know of my past in South Central. Some of us Crips from my neighborhood tried doing that at one time. The whole 'fighting a war for peace' thing. It ain't turn out well for anybody except maybe me and a few others, but that's only because we joined you or the army and that's only because we hit rock bottom." She explained, "Some ended up on drugs, dead, in comas, paralyzed, and so on. We got peace, but those who we beat came back in force, new enemies with far more skill came at us. I'm with Stryfe."
"We should be careful not to draw more lines in the sand than we need to." Sonia added, "There is enough of a divide as is. I also think that this meeting should be adjourned for the time being. There is much to do."
"Agreed. Meeting adjourned." Stryfe said, nodding to the other Invictus leaders as the recording came to an end.
