Name: Whirda Windstrom
Country of Origin: Burma
Age: 20
Description
Whirda appears every bit the consummate assassin. Though quick with a roguish grin and a snide retort, her stealth, precision and concentration are unrivaled in battle. She wears her hair short, cropped just above the shoulders. Her features are aquiline, dominated by a thin, sharp blade of a nose, cast in exotic, dusky tones that suggest foreign shores and mixed origins. Her eyes are almond shaped - inquisitive, yet detached - as if always interested yet never enough so to care.
Personality
Playful by nature, Whirda often employs psychological strategies set to keep her opponents off their guard. But when combat heats up and she's faced by a worthy opponent, she is quick to toss aside the frivolities and focus entirely on the task at hand: eliminating her foe at all costs. Combat to Whirda is as much a matter of pride as sport; she fights to win, and is not afraid to play dirty to achieve her desired end.
Equipment
Whirda's combat style is complimented by twin kukri, wickedly sharp, 17-inch, wide and curved blades with a hard, tempered edge and a softer spine, enabling it to maintain a sharp edge, yet tolerate impact. A pouch secured by two straps beneath her left arm houses a number of throwing knives. In her left boot is a small punch dagger. Whirda also carries, though does not often use, a jitte: a defensive weapon with a rounded tip and a tapering blade. A one-pronged tine, about six centimeters long, begins at the handle and points toward the tip, for catching blades and snapping them with minimal effort.
History
Whirda was raised a warrior's child, and her enthusiasm and remarkable aptitude quickly turned her into a fearful enemy. She traveled the world with her father, a military officer and renowned combatant, honing her proficiency in all forms of armed and unarmed combat. Even before her eighteenth birthday she was sought after as a teacher of armed combat, discipline, and psychological tactics. Now, just twenty years old and already one of the most accomplished assassins, Whirda seeks opponents worthy of her skill, and strikes them down with confidence and tactile efficiency.
Her name was Mauve, like the color of paint, which was apt: not only was she "pretty as a painting," she was also "smart as paint," and certainly as thin (assuming sufficient solvents had been added); she was, however, Arnold discovered when she stepped from the shower, a lot more fun to watch dry.
