Well, I would argue that Guinevere is extremely important to the Arthurian story. And if you mention her in the King Arthur background information, why not have her be reincarnated and take part in our story? I also think you should offer a spot for Lady of the Lake. You might have more people sign up because they want to play these parts.

I submitted my profile for Percivale. I'm also wondering-- where is the story going to take place?

Oh, I see. Well, then, I'll take Sir Bedivere, then. He's the next closest to my reincarnation. This is not my roleplay, so I have no right to play King Arthur. My reincarnation would fit the Arthur mold better than the Bedivere one, but I play great warriors very well. The giant killer Sir Bedivere shall come soon, I guess.

But what point would they have? Arthur would already have Excalibur, so the Lady of the Lake would not be needed. Honestly,what other purpose did she serve? And I just took the general background info from a website.

Well depending on the Arthurian legend we're talking about, both Guinevere and the Lady of the lake play pivotal roles in the stories. It could be interesting to a see a character who is self aware of their reincarnated status as the Lady of the Lake, and perhaps as an older character, attempts to guild events a bit, and could work as a kind of plot mover and developer if we ever need her.

I think it would also be interesting to see a reincarnated Guin coming back as a guy. I think it could be vastly interesting to gage this character's reaction and possibly even resentment towards Arthur for the events of their past life, as many stories depict the marriage as being less than happy for her. That may even give Mordred, or Morgan if someone ever claims her an ally. Just interesting food for thought.

Excellent, Kohananinja, I'm so glad you're playing Arthur. :)

I agree with what Koh says. The Lady of the Lake sees that things go the way they are fated. And, if we want to combine her role with Nimue, then she could also be the character who learns from Merlin and in the legends traps him in a tree/cave.

As for Guinevere, I love the idea of her being reincarnated as a guy. From my viewpoint of the legends, Lancelot and Guinevere are soul mates and you really shouldn't have one without the other. Plus, imagine reincarnated guy Guin's reaction when he finds out that he used to be a beautiful queen in a past life? If we could be permitted two characters, I would love to play him. :)

But, of course, you are in charge, TwiliXDragon, and I'll go along if you decide not have these extra characters.

I tend to assume the lady of the lake is immortal. I'm not sure if I actually heard that told, I might have just made it up when I was a kid, and have yet to be informed enough of the legends to know otherwise. But she was supposedly based on celtic river goddesses, not much was said told about her, it makes sense to me for her to be immortal.

In other news, I'm childishly amused that Miranda is the youngest character thus far. XD
