Alright, I'm going to leave for a few months. I feel like I should explain myself a little bit since this isn't a normal leave of absence and it could turn out to be permanent.

It's a mixture of some of the things from a few months ago when I left for a three months and some recent frustrations and upcoming career choices that I need to make. I don't need this site distracting me from what's important to me. Roleplaying and writing were never very strong passions of mine for many years either. I'm a video director with the company called TGN; which is a channel network on YouTube, like Machinima. I make video gameplay tutorials, guides, and commentaries about certain games that I focus on playing and upload them on YouTube. Since I'm a video director with TGN, I get to have my videos put on a TGN YouTube channel and earn money from the videos that are uploaded every month. On top of all this, I need to start focusing on making videos full time, start up my live stream, start my own gaming league for my YouTube channel, and proceed forward with making this a successful career.

I know that I started a roleplay podcast on this site, I won't be continuing it and I don't care if anyone is going to pick it up or re-structure it and do it themselves. I've already invested way to much time into the episodes I made and the scripts I made for the future episodes. I simply can't devote time towards something that is going to be a complete waste of my time, like writing is. I don't want to say that I'm leaving strictly because all my roleplays have failed, my efforts to get the community active in the Creative Realm through the use of photoshop tutorials had failed, or my podcast about roleplay had failed. These things are not strong influences of why I'm leaving but I would be lying to say that they don't have some small part in the decision.

In closing, I've got to say that from the moment I've been on this site to the moments I've taken lengthy breaks to potential permanent leaves, the evolution path of this site is shaky at best. I'm not trying to make a claim that I could do better or even try and suggest it -- can only work with what you've got anyways. I've always tried extending my ideas that I think stand a chance at being implemented on the site and kept the more complex ones to myself (because of the effect those complex ideas would have).

If I ever bother to log into the site, it would be to contact a music sponsor of mine and even then I probably will establish a different line of communication with him. It's been fun though guys, however, very disappointing and not very rewarding.

Akita and Entity, I will miss you both. Entity, I regret that you had decided not to stay with When the Lion Wakes (we're still running, if you can believe it), and that we hadn't had the opportunity to speak more.

I'm going to be off for a few days because a couple of relatives are having a reunion at my place and I have been going crazy preparing for it for the past few days. I'm really sorry to all the GMs that were counting on me, I give full permission to other members to control my characters as they please temp.

I no longer feel the urge to write, to create, and to dream on here. I apologize to all the people that I'm disappointing, and to all the people I'm leaving behind. If anyone ever wants to contact me, (which I truly doubt), you can send me an email, perhaps. It's been great being here, but I think it's time that I took a break, got back into the ... "Real world". It was great fun, guys, real great fun. And I'm sure I'll come back again some time.

Dear RoleplayGateway,

Over the last two years of coming here, I have noticed a few things about your fighters. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but roleplay fighting is kind of all I do when it comes to Rp these days. That being said, what I've noticed is that follows.

Eighty percent of your fighters are pathetic weaklings.
Ten percent are kinda tough, but have no clue what they're talking about.
and the last ten percent, and this is me being hellishly generous, are either pretty good, or total gods. I say that cause I'm not sure if Guts or Calintz still show up here at all. Alucroas counts... I guess. But he doesn't seem so much tough as he seems really good at arguing. I'm not a fan of argument. When an rp becomes based on nothing more than your ability to argue your logic, the fight becomes a debate, you then I get bored and walk out on you.

This has happened many times to me on this particular roleplaying site. It's gotten to the point where I actually look for the argumentative type just to screw with their heads a touch. It makes me laugh knowing that some guy miles away from me is saying "ha Ha fucking idiot, you can't do that because my logic proves this and this" When last I checked, most things in roleplaying can't be described down to a T. Your logic may be solid, or it may not. Hell, I've had my moments of shotty logic. But christ. You guys took the cake when it came down to fighters with nothing to offer.

I can't even bring myself to screw with people, or play one of my wise-cracking characters anymore. It's still a great site, and I'm glad I came here. But it would appear you're just... not my flavor anymore. If any replies are made, I'll come and read them eventually. But otherwise, enjoy your roleplaying.

Well, i thought since im back now and plan on staying for a while its only fair to comment on my previous post. I posted a rather long list as to my flaws with RPG and the staff but i think i need to comment on some of the things i said. I retract a majority of the things i wrote, realizing that they came from a place of immaturity and unnecessary anger. No, the staff wasnt perfect, but neither was i. All my complaints were of things i was partially responsible for. I feel the need to own up to the things i had said.

Anyways, the site has improved tremendously and im glad to see RPG return to what it once was; An amazing place with a great community. The staff, the members, the roleplays, they're all great. Ive been back for a few weeks now and i can say that with confidence.
